changed my pawn from last thread
little girls are people too, you sexist bigot. they deserve more representation in videogames. almost all games that have girls as "teenagers" and fully grown women. this is 2016, enough is enough.
Loli humor is funny to me. Like the image of a tiny person with a giant two handed warhammer, or the fact that they get thrown around by any kind of wind.
The porn does nothing for me.
Honest, look where we are, why would I lie
So.. is this game any good?
What are pawns?
Why do they talk so much?
Do I need to have 3?
Is this game about climbing?
Why are Germans so good at climbing things?
Why do the vocation/classes look so boring (which is the most "fun")?
Is the draw distance render fixed?
Are the visuals/graphics any good?
How is the plot or is it just hack and slash?
Am I asking retarded questions?
>What are pawns?
You create your own pawn, other players hire them. You hire their main pawns. They aid in fights, and offer monster knowledge/tactics accumulated from other player's worlds. You can review one another's pawn and send gifts.
>Why do they talk so much?
Bad training. Sit your pawn down at a knowledge chair and always choose 'reticent' for every setting, and they'll shut up for you and whoever hires them. This is doubly-true if the other arisen (the other player) does the same. You can have a party of near silence if they are each trained properly.
>Do I need to have 3?
You can have 1, 2, 3 or even 0. In fact the game rewards the player more experience for fewer pawns. The assassin vocation grants insane bonus damage if you got it alone.
>Is this game about climbing?
It's about recovering your heart that a Dragon consumed. The game offers monster scaling (giant monsters) and vocations that specialize in such combat such as the strider, or assassin.
>Why do the vocation/classes look so boring? (which is the most ''fun'')?
The only boring one is mage. Each vocation offers a a great deal of satisfying skills and basic skill-sets depending on preference. It's not about how it 'looks', it's about how it feels. The most fun class? Assassin, in my opinion.
>Draw distance render fixed?
>Are the visuals/graphics any good?
Comparatively from the console edition--yes.
>How is the plot or is it just hack and slash?
The plot pays off right at the end, it's vague and open-ended throughout. Once you beat the game, the whole things clicks and you're left thinking: ''Ahh, so THAT'S why.''
>Am I asking retarded questions?
Not at all.
I figured all elfs would be mages or archers so...
My pawn is a trap
here's her pawn
Making an elf loli is harder than I expected.
Not who replied to your pawn--the problem is that you've made a loli. Go into the rift once in a while, everyone and their Mom has made a fuckin' loli. It's so unoriginal, especially elf lolis.
I'm having a lot of fun with it.
Fightan/travelan companions. You can customize one and choose the other 2.
No, but I think you at least need to have the one you create.
I honestly can't put my finger on what makes the classes fun. This sounds like a bullshit answer, but just try what you usually like.
You can increase it, but you'll still notice some stuff since the environments can be pretty big. Also, you'll see npc's pop in more than anything.
It's not picture-perfect, and a lot of rocks, hills, and such are quite blocky. But the environments and dungeons are still very interesting.
I'm not too far in, but the plot is definitely not the focus; it's more about exploring. At the same time, I still want to know what happens next. People have said that some quests can no longer be done if you advance the main quest past them, so I'm just taking my time exploring and talking to people I want to talk to, and killing shit that I want to kill.
Hope this helped.
Sure, knock yourself out. Just know that the majority of us, the 'normies' will not hire a ridiculous child into our parties, and that your pawn will only be hired by an obscure audience of like-minded NEETs.
So basically, enjoy accumulating very little reviews, gifts, and rift crystals :^)
I was aiming to suitably represent the transgender community
Mage is a supportive class in essence, you spend most of your time healing yourself and your pawn(s) and constantly enchanting you and your pawn's weaponry with elemental enchantments over and over.
The only offensive spells that deal damage can be used by sorcerer, the advanced vocation that mage can go into. Ideally, you want to either make your pawn a mage (or hire another's mage pawn.)
Made an Blonde hair blue eye elf archer.
Fuck I am so unoriginal
It's a weaker version of sorcerer but has healing spells. Basically made for pawns so you can be healed, but playing it yourself usually ends up having your pawns do work for you while you heal/buff them.
Which is retarded.
Missed the third question:
I can't help but be fond of all their random talking. It almost personifies them instead of just having silent pets that attack when you attack.
Two random pawns that I had with me died when I was running away. Is there any way to get them back?
>faster stamina regen
Sure, a tiny little munchkin running the same distance to a 7 ft giant will look 'faster' in so far as the relation to body-size and the ground, but being small in this game doesn't make you go any faster.
It's all about equip weight, which is universal for every single pawn and arisen.
not playing as a sexy barbarian? Pfffft
Rate my giraffe.
You can get old support pawns back in the rift, examine the riftstone and it should have a recent pawns option or something like that.
>Everyone and their mother has a loli
>Somehow even though "everyone and their mother" has a loli the mainstream crowd won't hire them
If everyone has one, it's not like they have a choice. Also they do. A lot. I've made a lot from my pawn.
I was honestly too excited to play so I didn't put much work into my arisen and pawn (on the left). My pawn is actually geared better than me because I keep getting strider stuff when cleansing BBI drops.
Hot tips for new players:
>Play on hard mode
Difficult within the first hour, made easier with defense augments from warrior vocation (even if you don't want to use them, the main city allows you to change vocation, nab the augment, and carry it over into whatever you want. The idea is, if you play hard mode, you get more exp and an abundant supply of money. Enemies drop bags of 10,000 frequently, allowing you to always stay on top of your equipment and enhancement.
>Check your storage at the inn
Because this is DD:DA, Capcom added a nice bonus in all of our storage. Decent starting armor and 3 very important rings (one for fighter/mage/strider). These rings enhance your skill (the one you start off with) to an ascended power. This makes things nice and smooth at the start.
>Do not sell your materials, ever.
You need materials to enhance armor and weaponry. Instead, put everything you find of this category to storage to save you carrying it around. When you go to enhance an item, the vendor will draw from your storage, so you don't have to withdraw them ever again.
>Tough fight ahead? Save, save save.
If you see an enemy horde or a boss monster on the horizon, hit the menu and 'save and continue'. Should you die, you'll return right before the fight.
I'll type up more as I think of them.
Pic is my pawn.
Tried making my pawn after a dark elf in some h-manga I read. When can I start dressing her up in slutty outfits?
I also made a grandpa
Would you hire her, /v/? Keep in mind she's like 6ft1, 200lbs and is of the Fighter vocation.
>Lantern soaked and gone out? No prob.
Dungeon crawling is made tedious with your lantern extinguished. Normally you need to weight 1 - 2 minutes before it turns back on, you can simply unequip it and re-equip the lantern to light it back--cutting the wait from minutes to seconds.
>More hair colors
Once you've reached Gran Soren, the capital. Backtrack to the encampment, where you created your pawn. A pawn from the rift, an old man, will sell elixirs and potions that can only be bought with RC (rift crystals). He sells skin and hair dyes, as well as elixirs that change your pawns inclination (very important part of pawn training) and finally, an item that allows you to re-edit your entire character and pawn.
>I need rift crystals!
Capcom will Jew us in the near future, you could literally BUY them for RL money. Instead your best bet is to wait it out, people will hire your pawn and, the longer your pawn is hired/the more enemies it fights in other worlds, the more RC you will get. If you have a friend who is in the late game (where more dangerous monsters are) ask him to hire your pawn. You'll be rolling around in rift crystals soon enough.
And remember, check settings you can turn off shit like:
>cinematic camera (annoying as fuck)
I wasn't even who you were replying to. Your mentality is why there's so much shitposting between platforms and why it's so rare that we actually get discussion on video games like we have been having with DD. Please don't ruin that.
>When can I start dressing her up in slutty outfits?
Right at the start. In the starting village, Cassardis, there is a clothing store ran by an old woman. Purchase Cassardi hosen from her (waist-high french cut brown panties) and Cassardi shift (brown tapered bra/tank top). Go to the vendor in the encampment a short distance from Cassardis, rescue Reynard and meet him there. Purchase the strapped leggings from him.
Things get skimpier when you find the white lingerie in the forest (or bought from madeleine in gran soren) or the black lingerie (thong and bra) found in the all-female bandit camp in the later part of the game.
Until there is a Berserk game, this will have to suffice.
Settle down, autist. You're embarrassing yourself.
What is this obsession with demanding validation from other people for your stupid video game dollies? Is it just millennials being millennials? Every DDDA thread here and on /vg/ has just been wall-to-wall "RATE MAI WAIFU PLOX"
>Man where the fuck were these threads when the game was first released, it comes to PC and suddenly everybody is talking about it? Not fair tbqh.
>you obviously weren't here when the the game was first released.
Please, we all know who the real hero is...
>put leather breastplate on MC - covers his entire torso
>put it on female pawn - turns into a bra
This is the best armor i could get for her so far im not even into dressing them up.
>no discussion of game
>only little manbabbies waving their microdicks into the wind, begging for people to approve of their brown loli fetishism
take it to /h/, weebfaggots
Only picture I've taken so far. I need to take an actual one at some stage.
Stuck on the Ur-Dragon at the moment because i cant find any pawns with holy affinity.
Here's my pawn. Anyone else's game keep defaulting back to 1080p from 4k after closing the game and coming back to it later?
>scarred all to hell
>with a loli mage pawn named Schierke
Definitely Guts, senpai.
this is a good arisen right here
The preset character doesn't look like him either.
home key or McFX.cfg to toggle AO in v2. for performance: disable the depthbuffercalc in Common.cfg for a few FPS if you don't want depth effects(AO/DOF).
ENB is almost ready to start using, Boris is adding detailed shadows and skylighting or something then he'll release the loading screen fix.
I didn't really spend much time on her because I didn't think the creator was very good.
Will someone hire my pawn?
I'll hire yours in return, only level 16 now though
My Arisen turned out to be way cuter and interesting than my pawn.
Will you hire my Freddie? He's straight outta Cromartie.
Lantern shadows also wonky for anyone else? I'm also having a weird pawn issue where the game automatically gives a hired pawn a super deep voice, even when it sounds normal in the rift.
Screenshot of me and my pawn. Held against a chimera and some lizards for 5 minutes while I ran like a bitch because I was level 14 and I was escorting someone.
I love dwarves but I just can't handle my pawn being one. I wish you could make multiple pawns. for the JRPG party of your dreams.
10/10 for me
I love brown girls
I see your two characters settling down after they've past their prime and gone through many adventures.
I only just started it earlier today, haven't even gotten to leave the village yet.
Make his brows angrier, make his eyes more relaxed bitchface type with eyelids half closed, make his bodytype muscular maybe. Use the animu screenshots for reference.
I was playing on low when I took the screenshot
No, just named him after myself
Perfomance it's smooth as fuck, although outside Gran Soren you're going to notice a slight drop because of the game engine and rendering. Outside of that the loading times are near instant, and after like 50 hours into it I've never had one bug or crash.
Ingame and combat controls are flawless, no mouse lag, no difficult sluggish movement alá Witcher 3 or GTA5, and I have never had a problem targeting enemies. The console-to-PC port has been excellent, and you swtich between Primary and Secondary skills via Ctrl and Alt respectively. It really is smooth as fuck.
Menus and UI are shit, because they haven't adapted it to the PC. Like >>324119414 wrote.
Modder anon from /vg/ said it's rough. It probably won't change but ENB has a key to toggle the HUD on/off and you can disable it through the options menu too.
And it's not that bad.
Just kinda messed around with the character creator, but I think they're alright.
Fuck I can't decide what I should name my pawn.
I didn't put much effort into making him but I was trying for a half assed attempt at a pretty boy type look to go with my muscleman wizard
Game is fun is all but I have two things that really annoy me.
First is the fucking bloom around the lantern and weapon buffs that blinds you. I can't see fucking anything at night. It's worse than having no light at all.
Then is the autosave system which saves whenever the fuck it wants. I've lost 3 hours of progress overall because it didn't save.
I have this one but never tryed it so i dont know if it looks good or not
You can never have enough Dwarf pawns. I really wish it was easier to make a number of alts.
Just use F12
i may have gone too far in a few places
>Jump on cyclops to stab that bitch in the eye
>Rook fucking follows me and tries to climb its leg
>gets tossed around like a ragdoll the entire time
My grandpawn is ready to protect all the useless lolis.
Pretty cuhrayzee anon, good job.
Anyone want me to hire their pawn?
I'll take them along until they dissappear
>tfw rook got drowned by a troll
Say one more thing you fucking spic and I swear to god I'll cleave your asshole in half.
so i killed grigori
i just kinda rushed through the main story
should i play with another style (vocation, pawn, body and all that shit) or just let it be
Nigger, weaboos are the second largest audience on steam, the first being Russians.
I'm going for a mystic knight.
Should my main
waifube a sorcerer or a ranger?
>weeabos and russians
A new order eastern front haha
Most stats come from gear. You do get some benefit from minmaxing, but unless you play for 400 hours and are grinding hard you won't really notice it. Fuck you can switch from Mage to Fighter at like level 30 and still do well. It's not a big deal.
gents what quests should i start off with? i did the one where the very nice not suspicious black man told me to follow some knight who grabbed some paper from the merchants giant tits and thats all ive done
the pawn guild asshole sent me down to fight an ogre that could one shot me there is also an asshole who wants me to find a book halfway across the map and i cant find any ferrystones whatever the shit is that lets you teleport i dont want to walk all the way back
are there any good quests for low level beginners or should i farm goblins and zombies? im a strider
>you can customize and name your own pawns
I D-DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS GOING TO BE SO PERSONAL.
WHAT'S A GOOD NAME FOR A CLERIC PAWN QUICK.
So what they STILL HAVENT finished the fucking quest failing shit.
This is fucking bullshit i didnt talk to the end guy right at the end of lost and found and it says i failed. Im fucking pissed. Can't console command it, cant fucking load a previous save. The flying fuck.
IF YOU DO NOT PLAY A RANGER
TO ME YOU ARE A STRANGER
Ye shalt never know the po'er of a well playced and timed Deathly Arrow.
Ye shalt never be b'rhgt to bear against foes with the po'er of thine Tenfold Flurry.
And above all, ye shalt never know the reticent imbalance of a well playced Great Gamble!
Pity they who choose a non-Ranger. They are ceaseless fools, doomed to walk the Earth with pawns at their side.
>(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST)
Warn me too mod-senpai
I can't be wrong when I say this game often has a poor sense of giving the player direction, right?
I try to go kill a Griffon in some quest, it flees, then one soldier says "Quick, to the Bluemoon Tower!". The quest marker is across the undiscovered ocean. The soldier ran inside the city gates and then vanishes once you follow him. No one has ever told me about the bluemoon tower. No one has ever told me how to get to the bluemoon tower.
Pointing a finger and telling me which way to go is NOT hand-holding, so why doesn't the game at least do that?
I see you are part of the sexy jesus fan club
Do you require an assistance, anon? Does your head hurt?
>The journey to get there is long and arduous.
Is it long and arduous because no one is telling me where it is?
Should I just ignore it and leave this quest half finished until I just-so-happen to come across it? I'm trying to have fun here, not deal with the game's bullshit.
>Is it long and arduous because no one is telling me where it is?
No, because it is genuinely a challenging little adventure through [spoilers ahead]
several bandit camps, a bandit pass complete with little fort built into the rock, a raging gust of wind, and some other shit.
Just go in the general direction and follow the path. It's part of the adventure of Dragon's Dogma. But it can wait, you might want to gain a few levels first
my arisen is very cute
and this is her pawn
now that I think of it i'd much prefer it the other way round, men look far better when fighting than a girl
Post chocolate princess pawns
Never played it, but I guess it works.
I just have a think for red heads and brown skins.
>Pointing a finger and telling me which way to go is NOT hand-holding, so why doesn't the game at least do that?
But the game does point a finger, it literally gave you a quest marker on the map
How did I do?
I haven't played a lot because of the
splatfest todayWill go hard tomorrow.
So I just got Rook, and first thing I do is throw him into the water.
Along with a couple of npcs
How much did I fuck up?
>all these HD screenshots
>all these new Arisens and pawns
>a new generation enjoying one of the most fun games I've played in a few years
I'm so glad. Awesome that PC Bros are able to play it and have it running at a much better framerate than on the consoles. I only wish I had a decent PC so I could play it all over again.
Let me post my shitty ps3 screenshot. Man, the difference in quality is impressive.
It depends on whether you want to be able to perform physical attacks or purely magical ones. I'd recommend sticking to sword, but keeping a staff in your inventory for situations where you think you'll need it.
Also I need ideas for my main Pawn. I don't want to make a healbitch again because it's fucking full of them and it's never going to get rented.
What kind of Pawn do you guys think gets rented a lot?
Not really, it works as long as you have strong pawns to keep you from being creamed. And if your pawn is the mage, they're quite helpful.
Still, couldn't have fucking hurt to make sorcs have at least the baseline healing spell, while giving a few decent high-end spells to mages to make either one viable options
