What's the video game where the main character is powered by Justice?
If the game has a character creator then YOU can be powered by justice!
But Alex is motivated by justice and revenge, does that count?
Yes and he got his shit fucked up shattering his legs during a bike stunt
During the third movie his legs still weren't properly healed and the screws were bleeding constantly while fighting on Mt Fuji so he used duct tape to bandage them to keep filming
Even /v/ should know this shit by now
Can it be personal justice?
What is the appeal of this garbage?
Even Kojima is into it.
Isn't it moralfag? Why am I seeing it on /v/?
Kamen Rider literally changed the face of Japanese popular culture. I can guarantee at least one Japanese game you've played has been inspired by it either directly or indirectly from trends it started.
There are references in VJ you won't even understand unless you know Rider.
"Whoever wins has to wear a yellow outfit" = Shocker Rider 1
The bad guys yelling EEE! = Shocker Combatmen
The fucking pose Joe does when he transforms, come on man
Let's start with the biggest one, since you're not the brightest bulb.
Actual stand-in Kamen Rider substitutes aside, there's a handful more. I'm not sure why you're so against the idea.
For awaiting the eventual future where you do.
You're a capecuck from /co/ aren't you?
So you really want to have to fight for over 4 decades against constant threats to mankind's survival?
Is there a Rider who has experienced more suffering than Jiro?
That's Mr. Titan from Kamen Rider Stronger
Whenever /co/ discusses tokusatsu it's the most cringy shit I've ever seen. Like they remind me of old people trying to get with what's """hip""" with the young crowd and they're so fucked up and brainwahed from decades of capeshit they try to apply comic logic to a completely different medium and culture with it's own cliches and themes that don't mesh. That's part of why /co/ doesn't consider toku heroes "real" suoerheroes, with examples like "they don't fight crime" like Batman or Spider-Man does. Utterly awful.
>tfw thats a guy in that suit
would still totally smash that
You know /v/ might hate Ken but at least we hate him for the right reasons.
Reading this is awful.
I've never watched ToQger.
Is it like Den-O?
they brought him back once so far and maybe again in the upcoming movie where they give him a new suit
Toei is really fucking desperate and just like western capeshit will fuck around too much with their iconic characters just to be 'trendy' and 'hip'. They tried rebooting it before and it failed horribly and they're gonna learn the hard way again.
This arc didn't make a lick of sense. I'm only compelled to observe that Super-1 simply wanted to pose ostentatiously on the nose of a rocketship during the climax of burning reentry.
Also Spirits continuation never.
The art was really good and Hongo kicking a giant bug monster in half was good. What else do you really need in a Kamen Rider manga?
Spirits for the Heisei Riders would be excellent.
Because casuals read Spirits but don't watch the shows they're based on or give a shit about the characters and get a false image in their mind.
The writer was basically ashamed of Kamen Rider so he turned it into this ridiculous super-serious overblown fuckfest that feels nothing like the actual tone of the old shows. Also retarded garbage like Tackle and Stronger's friend getting resurrected as evil that Stronger has to kill and rip their hearts out to power himself is utterly awful capeshit-tier soap opera. And the Riders actual human forms looked like utter dogshit.
>think kamen rider seems cool
>feel that if I got into it now I would have so much to watch
>like most of the rider designs meaning I want figures of them
I feel conflicted. Anyway is there a specific one to start at, the original one maybe?Ii
If being a hero means moralfag to you, then yes.
Just pick whatever suit you like and roll with it. There's so many Rider shows, you can easily drop one and start on another if you feel like one isn't up to your standards.
Agito is still the Objectively best Rider Season.
the faggot forgot to put an o in "show"
showa and heisei are more or less two "eras" of kamen rider, whose style is different,
the guys at>>324110241 are the showa riders, the first ones.
he probably said that because he doesn't like the practical effects of the old shows, if you can stomach those go for the few translated showa ones.
also keep in mind that these are children shows so don't expect serious grimdark shit
>There will never be a good Kamen Rider fighting game
that is why there are two Kamen Riders in the first show. They continued on with another actor and and wrote a backstory for this new character.
What's awesome is that they brought the original Kamen Rider back to save the new one and they teamed up as Kamen Rider 1 and Kamen Rider 2.
Eh i dunno man it was never supposed to be a pleasant occupation
I mean imagine having the usual anger and frustration of being a /v/irgin on top of all that added anger and frustration of being a Rider for decades after decades
being forever alone, well that stays consistent I guess
Ok thanks, I honestly didn't understand what he meant. I've only ever really seen clips from the showa ones which are what interested me. Also I'm not interested in them for a story, the over the top designs and action scenes are what interested me, thanks for the advice.
>also keep in mind that these are children shows so don't expect serious grimdark shit
The first 5 or so episodes of the original series were, but the network made them tone it done from then on.
you'll get what you're looking for, not so much the story as the overall premise might win you over as well
What ever happened to the daughter of the scientist who modified Hongo?
She went to Europe with Hongo when he wanted to fight Shocker internationally but she was never mentioned ever again
Sharivan reboot >>>> Shaider reboot >>>>>>> The First >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Next > POWER GAP > Kikaider reboot > POWER GAP THE LENGTH OF THE MILKY WAY > Gavan reboot >
Let's Go All Riders
It's pretty easy to start anywhere, the stories are mostly self contained between riders.
Pick a design/personality you enjoy and get started anywhere, just remember that most of the Showa riders aren't translated fully/well.
This image is also missing Ghost and Drive which are the two most recent.
Well that's it, she never shows up again. It's been an issue for 45 years. I don't think she died but I'm not sure.
Hell yeah motherfucker
Watch Fourze then go back and watch W and OOO, then go forward and watch Drive, then do whatever the fuck you want
Fourze has the most movies that tie with all riders, old and new, and also Super Sentai.
He was really just Rider's answer to Ultraman, he really was pretty pointless, also he was the Red Zyuuranger which is pretty funny although he wasn't the first Rider to be a Ranger
Drive was a bit slow at first, but once it
changed gearsit ended up becoming one of my top favorites.
Everyone was a great. Shinnossuke, Chase, MAHHA! Kirko, Belt-o-san, Rinna, that one bumbling detective...
Shit was fantastic. I am still salty about the change of final villain at the end, but it gave us such a satisfying scene with Mach, and it was amazing I can't stay mad it for long.
>the track that plays during this scene
My dick still gets hard.
>Everyone was a great.
Fucker should have stayed dead in Kamen Rider 3
He was literally the villain due to his retardation.
Whoa thanks for the chart, I'm not sure which one exactly I'll start with but I like the feel of the early showa ones, the simple and aged fighting scenes are what made me realize I wanted to watch kamen rider.
What do you guys think about Ghost so far? Has it lived up to your expectations? The plot is moving so fast that it couldn't possibly be worse than Wizard.
it's interesting, J and ZO were supposed to be the Double Riders of the 90's that were going to herald in the 'new' generation of Riders way before Kuuga, obviously that isn't what happened but i really would've liked to see what would've come from it.
Kuuga is unique in that it doesn't really come across like a Showa or Heisei show. It paces itself like a mystery show because you're kept in the dark what's going on, and Kuuga's constant evolution of new forms is meant to be frightening to the viewer.
>J and ZO were supposed to be the Double Riders of the 90's
Only because Shin failed
>and they have to start collecting those dragon balls again
That's not as bad as OOO when he had like 3 full combos and then Kazari betrayed Ankh and made him lost 90% of the medals
>become known for an iconic role
>abandon the show and refuse to play it again
Why do actors do this?
I'm enjoying it so far. Even though they went back to collecting the eyecons, they at least they're introducing newer things like the hero possessions and Aran's subplot.
It's hard to believe it's only been 13 episodes. Any other show and the secondary would start to get introduced around now.
When will we get a toku hero game with Platinum or BamHam combat systems?
Kabuto gets kind of insane 2/3rds into the story but its probably one of the most dynamic shows in the franchise.
He didn't deserve everything that happened to him
>use leather outfits in one Sentai season
>immediately go back to cheap-looking spandex outfits the next one
Why did they do this?
>doesn't even fight OOO in the end
>gets taken down by the Double Births
And Birth's whole purpose in OOO was basically to job.
Supposedly it was originally going to be a rider series with 5 riders. Go-Buster. Which would have kept the theming of
Also it's not leather, it's pleather.
When will we get a Lobster Johnson game where I can deliver justice to all sorts of monsters that prey upon humanity.
My only complaint about drive was that the suit designs were about 90% awful (Base Mach and Drive being the exceptions. Formula was sub par.)
Dead Heat looked bad on both Mach and Drive, Rider Chaser looked mediocre, Formula was eh at best, and the crossover between Chase and Mach was literally "LET'S THROW ONE PIECE OF MACH'S SUIT ONTO THE CHASE SUIT" "GENIUS"
The only good weapon Chase had as his Roidmude form was Spider. Cobra was awful as hell. Bat was okay, but it was more of an SFX thing.
Drive was kinda slow, but it did play very nicely, in my opinion. I came into the series not being all that hyped about it, but by the end, I loved Brain, Heart, Chase, Mach, Drive, and Belt-san.
As someone who never read much Mignola I'm confused by what the fuck Lobster Johnson is.
Didn't he start off as some in universe pulp show or something?
And then he got a mini or something?
I've got no fucking clue.
Don't have it unfortunately.
He's an old pulp style hero. Who went around shooting monsters and criminals branding their corpses with his symbol. In universe they made some comics about him. He died fighting Nazis trying to contact old gods. Then he became a ghost.
Titan and General Shadow were some cool villains.
Man, Drive was such a great series. I'm so glad I got the Driver and almost all the shift cars + weapons for so fucking cheap.
Literally only missing Road Winter, Formula Cannon + Formula shift car, and DX Tridoron shift car.
These scenes were great. Especially with the awkward tension they threw in with Chase.
Indeed. I loved Chase's human interactions.
Well we already know Ghost is just going to be another OOO so he's immediately garbage unless his base form is absolutely amazing. We also know Baron is getting Mango as a normal form switch and I think Lemon is going to be his new hyper, I can't completely recall.
From what we've seen of the Showa Riders they might actually be able to combo worth a damn and do decent damage to a boss so that's a relief.
I'm expecting them to leave horrendously bad characters like Ryuki, Den-O, Kabuto, Kiva, OOO, Fourze, Gaim, Beast, Birth, Zangetsu Shin, and Accel exactly as they are with maybe two of them getting a single move change that doesn't improve them any way like they did in 2 with Ryuki and Kiva.
New mooks they add are no doubt going to be even worse than all the Mages and Worms/Natives littering the stages so that's sure as hell going to be fun in an enclosed space, and at best we get like eight new stages but we only revisit one of them while they rehash the old levels all over again.
Not to mention his costume for human form looked really nice. Again, they did quite well with some suits, but stuff like Dead Heat and Formula fell short.
Props to Tridoron form though. It looked super fantastic
He literally did nothing wrong
You get antagonists like the Roimudes in Drive that fought for their own sake
And you get Greeed which fight for their own sake but be cunts doing it
And then you have Gamel, who literally just sits around eating Candy and waiting to be with Mezool doing absolutely nothing wrong.
Though I disagree with your opinion, it does have one of the best suits. It's right up there with OG Rider 1, Joker/double, Kuuga, and Agito suits.
Simple and balanced design > Overly flashy looks
It's Jinba Lemon taking up a character slot. That's literally all it is, so its only attack is charging your arrow for half a second and repeating this on every single enemy and boss.
Seems like quite a
misunderstandingyou have there.
>Bring back Faiz in Heisei vs Showa
Kill him offin Yongou mini-series
They are totally gunna bring him back as a
ghostin Kamen Rider Ghost.
>/v/ toku thread
Oh man. Who's excited for Furry Sentai Minecraftger in the next month?
Because different Seasons used different cameras at the time.
To be fair, Lion, Elephant, and Shark look nice in-suit. It seems like it has a feel of Den-O, and if they manage to bring that wacky/serious mix back and into a Sentai season, I would personally enjoy it. I dunno how I feel about the furries being protags though, but also having human transformations on top of then also being able to have suit transforms.
whos best heisei and why is it Fourze?
But that's not Double. Shotaro specifically.
Is there a single game that delivers the same satisfaction as seeing a well done finisher?
I wish Meteor got some more love. I also wish he didn't have a dumb Beyblade powerup.
I like a lot of the Heisei Riders though.
W, OOO, Den-O, Fourze, Drive
I only liked Kiva because it's essentially violin fanservice. But damn, there is nothing Gen couldn't befriend.
>It's the "They go into an area even remotely dark" portion of V3
>You're basically staring at a black screen you can sometimes see movement in.
I don't get it, even Sentai looked brighter than V3 did in caves.
I wish we had more First time proper transformations like Kuuga's.
yeah there is something very unappealing about the look of this show
all the ones before and after it had good vivid color but V3 always looks washed out and it gives me a headache
A shame it'd be too long to also show the part where Kuuga runs the grongi down like a dog with his bike, hits and drags him with it for some distance as they go to a remote location, and then finally finishes him off
>monster attacks a busy road
>MC is still getting used to his powers, but is being a bitch boy about them "Muh normal life"
>Suddenly surrounded by screams, explosions, and corpses
>a burning emotion rages from within
>shouts his new creed to smite evil
>cue more explosions
who's the best secondary rider to play in that game? I'd say either Accel or Meteor
Depends. If you like J drama, older series are probably more to your taste. If you want fun justice time, some of the new series are good. The current, Ghost, is shit, and isn't finished. Drive before that was pretty good, but at little slow to start, and half his forms are shit design. Gaim is absolutely amazing once it picks up, but takes even longer to pick up than drive. The designs and motifs are wierd at first but it's literally 10/10 show. Wizard before that was shit, don't watch it. Fourze before that was great, a great entry series. OOOs before that was ok, starts off hard and fast but slows down near the middle. W before that is probably the best starter, simple formulaic episode format, but great characters and story.
>Requires you to rev every handful attacks or you lose out on damage, combo potential, range, and speed, and default attacking speed is equivalent to Put On axe speed.
>Trial does really low damage and lasts a really short amount of time so the only damage you get out of him is that intro attack.
>Booster's okay but not exactly that great and you can't permanently be in it.
Meteor can at least handle himself and get out sticky situations, Saturn is extremely powerful, and he can deal with both mobs and normal bosses. Meteor is definitely one of the best secondaries in 2 followed by Baron and Birth, but Birth is only useful at all if you can manage to keep making cell medals. If you can't he's by far the worst secondary.
I wasn't talking about Cure Black, this character had pink hair and it was a different show.
And when she tried to do black's transformation, she stopped when a character reminded her she can't henshin
I feel like the problem with Wizard was the way they went about their plot development.
Its first couple episodes seemed promising. But then it was all "Hey we have a promising story, a bit edgy, but it should show that everyone has darkness inside them, and everyone's past can make or break them." at first, but then like, 20 episodes in, it just shifted to "LET ME BE AS FLASHY AS POSSIBLE AND OH MY GOD WHERE'S MY BABY GIRL I HAVE TO SHOW OFF MY FLASHY MOVES FOR HER"
Then they're like "Shit, we messed up guys, what do we do, the plot's gone completely awful and we lost the original writer for this." So someone just goes "Throw Beast in there with his antics! He should be able to save the show because stuff like Den-O worked like that!"
So Beast was a bit of a change of pace, but they still screwed it up and stuck to the "I'M WORTHLESS WITHOUT THE ONE I'M MEANT TO PROTECT A BLOO BLOO BLOO" script.
But they'd just ruin Kuuga like they did Ryuuki.
20 episodes in, half of the designs are complete horseshit, the rest are average at best, a whole lot of nothing has happened, the supporting cast is completely retarded (except for old man), the main character is so flat he could pass for a japanese preschooler and worst of all
the opening song is so bland. It's shit.
Just do a straight dub
Or stick him into the Avengers.
Those are options, yes, but given our track record with translating Sentai into Power Rangers and the failures that were Black RX and Ryuuki for America, I doubt they'd be able to bring over Kuuga without a lot of faults and errors.
Who's this skull guy with a hat over his helmet? He was on the wii fighting game, it's pretty much the only thing Kamen Rider related I ever saw or played.
Kamen Rider Skull, a sub-rider from the series Kamen Rider W.
Double is a good series to get into if you want to dip your feet in the water.
I want to fuck that cat
Cautious optimism. Looks like a shenanigan heavy series.
It's kinda sad in a way. The last Sentai that kept the paramilitary theme and skill of the old days was Go-Busters and Japanese kids hated it despite it being the best series since the 90's era.
>I must fight I don't want to see anyone cry
Based as fuck
I hope so too, he apparently wasn't very happy about the restrictions he had on him as a Rider actor so he should be moving on to more serious roles.
The last third of Ryuki was painful as hell.
Sano...had a hard life.
>tfw Imperer's slow, painful "death"
>tfw Ryuki was a show meant for kids
>yfw the Grapist was a homosexual fuccboi in another dimension instead of a pathetic backstabbing fuccboi with an inferiority complex
The punches one after the other were too much.
Well, it starts as "Justice" and ends as "Desire to turn everyone into little bits".
>MFW no Kamen Rider style "EDF" style game on PC.
>MFW no Kamen Rider "Rider War" reskin of Anarchy Reigns with crazy powers and over the top finishers instead of killer moves.
I mean damn, people can make a fucking online clone of Kirby's Air Ride, and Phoenix Wright, but not some Kamen Rider?
I wish I was more well versed in sourcemods. I'd whip up something fun, or at least try to.
Are you on about the webm being easy to find or the source? If you mean the source, you should really download the BD box set from nyaa.
Download in progress, although it's going to take 5 hours for some reason.
Shows how often I torrent.
Guess I'll assume Nyaa has Surprise Future and Kamen Rider 3 as well, since I'd like those movies
>although it's going to take 5 hours for some reason
It's a big file IIRC.
>Guess I'll assume Nyaa has Surprise Future and Kamen Rider 3 as well, since I'd like those movies
Yeah, Over-Time releases all of their stuff on there so anything they've done is available.
This. I was just about to ask about this.
Nyaa lacks a full download of Gaim. Where to find without shit subs?
Also, If you had the choice:
What would you watch? I hear Ghost is shit and I'm gonna pass on that one, since he wasn't really that hype for me when he showed up in Drive
Faiz if you like melodrama
Hibiki if you'd like a different take on the whole rider concept
Gaim if you want a pre-Decade style series in the clothes of post-Decade style shows.
Black's transformation is one of my favourites, the close up on the glove and the sound effect really sells it.
Then you got the smoke coming off and everything, it's fantastic.
RX's addition is amazing too.
He's literally in 3 of the movies and his identity is shown in all 3.
It's Shotaro's mentor and Akiko's dad.
Begins Night in the Decade/W crossover
shows what happened during the opening of the first episode.
W Forever A To Z has
his ghost give Shotaro the Lost Driver to transform into Kamen Rider Joker to fight Eternal.
OOO x W has
Akiko finding out what her father was really like as she gets pissed off every time Terui runs off to be a Kamen Rider
>skip if you hate the first 3 episodes"
Except you can't do this with most of the series.
>Faiz doesn't get anywhere at all in the first three episodes outside of Takumi getting his belt
>Kuuga it's just when he starts getting Dragon I think, maybe even Might only.
>Agito it's basically them introducing Hikawa
>Blade doesn't even get anywhere at all until episode 12 or so and until 16 it doesn't even have everything set up.
>Ryuki is just Shinji and Ren arguing while introducing Scissors
>Hibiki goes real slow and it's mostly focused on Asumu for a while with Hibiki being a backdrop
>Kabuto has Tendou being his usual self and everyone else being bumbling fools
>Den-O just introduced Momo by that point
>Kiva doesn't even do anything yet
>Decade he just started visiting the world after Kuuga
>W just finished making you sit through the T-Rex.
>OOO is still just barely introducing you to characters and Eiji hasn't shown anything off.
>Fourze he hasn't even befriended Miu at that point.
>Gaim takes forever for anything to start and the first 20 episodes are basically laying the plot out.
Wizard is like the only one that has a really good start but we know how that ends up.
With Toku it's like an 8-10 episode rule.
>Skip if you hate the first 3
>Missing glorious Kabuto-Gatack shenanigans
RANDOM OUTTA NOWHERE COOKING BATTLES
That's one thing I like about Kamen Rider. Sometimes they go full fucking
FOODand it's great
>Tendou's actor will never return to Kamen Rider ever
>tfw he's too busy running a successful actor's agency company to star in anything big
It's such a shame, he's a really fucking good actor, he was great in the Beck movie too.
Well, he has fucking talent. Why be chained down by Kamen Rider exclusively?
I mean it'd be awesome if he came back, but he's doing what needs to be done.
>Didn't know he could speak true, fluent English and thought he was messing around during one of those "SUPER HERO TAIMUU" skits
>Hiro Mizushima speaks better English than half of Americans.
Not that it's too hard, but..
Also, until I develop better taste, favorite main rider. Although Double has the best "Attack Call" / SFX. That Maximum Drive gets my dick diamonds WITHOUT FAILURE
Not him, but
>Gokaiger in full.
EXCUSE ME WHILE I GO FULL PIRATE
I just mean it'd be nice if he'd return for a Super Hero Taisen film or something.
Is Gokaiger a good start for sentai?
I ain't watched much except a bit of Jetman (It's so fucking long) but I'm looking for something pretty easy to digest, I've heard people sing its praises a lot.
Gokaiger is far from the first Sentai you should watch, especially since it spoils a lot of major plot twists from previous Sentais.
>Is Gokaiger a good start for sentai?
It's basically a less shit equivalent to Kamen Rider's Decade series.
HUGE MEGA BONUS POINTS for if you've seen anything of older Super Sentai, because they
ABUSE TRANSFORMATIONS INTO OTHER SUPER SENTAI QUITE FREQUENTLY. It's also a plot point.
You can definitely get a kick out of it, but uh..if you haven't seen older seasons, you're going to either get spoiled if you have half a decent memory, or miss some shit completely more likely than not.
Gokaiger is good, but it's not as story-focused as Rider shows. I'm having a lot of fun watching Go-Busters right now, but I've heard it's not representative of the rest of the series.
>It's basically a less shit equivalent to Kamen Rider's Decade series
DiEnd is love, DiEnd is life. FUCK YOU DECADE.
>why the fuck is the
Treasures of DiEnd Complete Modification Selection packstill 500 bucks? Was it limited edition or something? Decade's dead. That price should be dropping
I started with Gokaiger. While it gets you in a "Whoa, that's cool!" mood and shows you how a team fights, it's not good when it comes to Shinkenger, Goseiger, Timeranger, and especially Jetman since it spoils some major things. Heck, the Jetman and Timeranger episodes are epilogues to the series.
Gen's ability to befriend things was fucking astonishing
>Befriends just about everyone who gave him shit one at a time
>Befriends the hardass teacher joke character
>Befriends a bunch of sentient slime
>Befriends the MAIN VILLAIN OF THE SHOW
>Befriends A GODDAMN SPACE SATELLITE
Reminder that in the end Wizard wasn't even the main fucking rider just because "muh koyomi" caused him to go full retard.
Beast despite his antics honestly saved the show on multiple occasions both literally and figuratively
Someone seriously needs to fire the Toei writing staff because with Drive being a disappointment and Ghost pretty much being terrible (let's be honest, it isn't going to get better), Rider is going no where. We need another "outsider" like Urobuchi and Kobayashi since they did away with all the bullshit formulas that Rider is plagued with and hence end up with the best shows
>Kamen Rider is dying
Toy sales aside, it's actually been on a slow upswing since Kiva. Drive sold poorly due to trying not to shill toys, but otherwise it's been a vertical movement.
They didn't bothered with Climax Heroes too. The sequel barely added anything new and bamco keeps shitting out sequels yearly because they know fans will eat it up. I don't know if i should wait for the definitive version of Battride war because part of me wants to get back to the toku groove.
>dem combo videos
They went with Sanjo for Drive because the dude wrote a huge hit with Double. I guess the problem is that the dude's Showa boner doesn't please everyone at least all the time.
>Landing those punches when a boss is running towards you.
The best feeling.
You need to consider international sales of Kamen Rider. Each show actually has a 3 yr product cycle or so.
>Year 1: Domestic Japan and exports
>Year 2: Korea, TW, HK
>Year 3: SEA and "others"
