No clue. Saved it from a older webm thread.
I actually like it a lot i am about 3 hours in.
you basically play it like a dual stick shooter.
the only thing that REALLY sucks is that it's really hard to execute some of the special moves you unlock.
However the game itself is pretty cool, cool weapons to pick up and shit to beat up. Nice Nina is broken dress with jiggle too.
I like it a lot and so far it feels like a action resident evil game where you explore a ship and backtrack and find emblems/keys etc.
If you can get it cheap then yes it's definitly fun to play.
the game never requires you to do any complicated move, a simple 3 hit combo in the same stick direction will do the trick, also you get pistols and other firearms then it's literally a twin stick shooter.
the worst i had to do so far was Batman flip over shielded guys to hit them from behind, but that wasn't too bad either.
What is that webm even supposed to be?
How is SWGEmu?
Have they managed to make it something else than grind to increase your stats for the sake of increasing your stats?
Does the world actually have something in it?
>the gameplay was pretty atrocious
I don't understand.
Are these Webms made with the intent to show just how little the player's input matters? Or are they genuinely trying to show us how awesome and cool the interactive b-movie is?
Why is literally everything about Mika such shit?
>Character model looks like melting Wax
>Face looks like a retarded chipmunk
>Tits clip everywhere
>Voice sounds like a trailer park 40 year old woman who smokes 3 packs a day
> one blaster shot causes a Jedi to just crumple over dead
> another shot from the same blaster pushes back a Jedi in mid-air
This looks fucking tight. Will this be worth a pick up when it releases?
1st rule of gunslinger is to spend 100% of free time spinning revolvers
killing floor 2
That actually has some production values, source?
it was ok, I liked the big fights and I liked decimating low level mobs when I tanked up later on
but the annoying parts and tedious parts are strong in this game
had a lot of laughs though
Is there specifically something about new games that makes reflections incredibly difficult to produce? It can't just be laziness when they put it in every older game.
Its because the area inside the window is basically a re-render of the room. with another model of yourself mirroring your moves. With modern games, since they try to push for FPS as hard as they can, they cant tank FPS in order to create reflections over a small visual effect.
There's nothing for you to buy, old games had less polycounts and shittier lighting to reproduce, not to mention newer games have more shit to run AA through when there are mirrors
It's not a real fucking mirror
Games can model all kinds of crazy shit, but they can't handle a reproduction of a bathroom on the other side of a window?
I just don't believe it's as simple as not having enough power to make a copy of a room.
>Take everything you're currently rendering
>Then double it
I'm not sure how else to explain it.
It's not that devs couldn't, it's more a question of is an important enough feature to devote time to it that could be spent on other aspects of the game.
Also, doubling system load like that is going to really hurt people with mid to low tier systems. It's all about tradeoffs.
I think so. Only played with Gwendolyn thus far, but aside from the way combat is more fluid now and the new enemies, she has a grand total of 21 psypher skills, out of which around 15 are active and can be used within combos. Shit's tight as fuck and the enemies are way less abusable now.
I could understand not wanting to put mirrors outside in the middle of a big, open world with lots of trees and buildings and shit, but It's not like they're running full blast all the time; looking at a mirror indoors should be no more resource-intensive than looking into another room.
Now, simply not wanting to do it is an excuse I can understand.
Nah, wait for this version. It has a classic mode that is essentially the old one. I see no reason to play the original if you can get this, though.
No, you're just fucking retarded and refuse to believe logic due to "but they used to reflect things in ps1 games WHY CANT THEY REFLECT EVERYTHING IN A 2014+ GAME ON ULTRA SETTINGS WTF"
Learn to fucking google you dumb fuck
>Portal just renders the game world again on the other side of the portal. It's also a game with extremely limited complexity in rendering. Only a single character, precalculated light maps, reasonably simple materials, and (IIRC) only a single directional light that casts shadows. Using it as a benchmark to judge games with more complicated rendering requirements is ridiculous. Stop doing that. You look really dumb when you do that.
Literally in the link
>shooting at ishak
>ishak is made of wood
>set ishak on fire
>look back and notice fire has gone out
>circle around and set ishak on fire again
>fire goes out again
This is why I only fly Russian planes in that stupid fucking game.
You can have a lot of fun in the lower tiers with Russian flying bullshit.
Thanks for the laughs, I needed them.
You too faggot.
Question, I remember all the hate TOR got, you had your usual peices of evidence, but for some reason I have this vague memory of people posting a video of the voice actors of a character changing mid cutscene? Is this something that happened or am I imagining things.
This must be some kind of glitch right? Like you clipped through the wall during the living failures fight and ended up in Maria's room while they spam that meteor thing? But how
Was fire going out even something that happened often ?
Kinda seems like an irrecoverable problem unless you can somehow like cut your engine/fuel and dive to make it burn out ?... Did Russians use self-sealing fuel tanks ?
Russian planes just don't give a fuck. It's pretty well known that a lot of them just ignore control surface damage for the most part.
>also I try and fly stick in RB, fuck my shit sideways
Tonks are fun though.
That's an owl, though.
God I miss this game, only game I ever had with a light gun. Played the shit out of it until was lent to some cousin and never seen again.
Now technology is so "advanced" that older technology doesn't even work? FUCK!
>the enemies are way less abusable now
More abusable, more like. Literally everything you do causes juggles and combos to happen without any effort. It's casualized as fuck. Not as bad as Muramasa, but still. Please tell me you can at least still mix items in the new mode.
a bit late to the party.
>join a ffa cba hero
>farm the dude who dont know how to play
>see how are the rest of the players doing
>blue suddenly has a shitton of walls
>suddenly, my castles are being attacked
>the screen starts having seizures
I read through this comment chain, and the guy you're replying to, who can't fathom how double rendering something would eat up resources, has got to be one hell of a fucking retard.
I'd play an MMO where all the cutscenes look as high-school drama class-tier as that.
If you beat the living failure boss right as one last one spawns it'll stay alive and the boss would still be counted as defeated. From there you can aggro it into Maria's room and it'll do its attack, that one in the webm is the meteor thing.
damn, i remember darkspore. i actually quite enjoyed the beta.
looks like it's not available at all anymore and the servers are actually getting pulled in march 2016, making the game completely unplayable, even singleplayer
games in 2016, everyone :^)
remember, software as a service is THE FUTURE!
This is literally what happens when you don't have budget allocated for actual unique animations. Your cutscene director basically has to cobble together EPIC cutscenes from what assets he has. You see that shit in DAI as well.
>Every room should be half as good
>Half as good texture count
>Half as good lighting
>Half as good models
>Because I need to see myself in the reflection
You should be in charge of making games.
I played The Order 1886 for the first time the other day and my GOD it was boring. I don't usually drop games, and I occasionally like an easy shooty movie game, but holy fuck none of it was interesting in the least and the gameplay may as well have not been there. It was a boring shitty movie in a boring, pessimistic game.
