An unbeatable protagonist is uninteresting if the show is framed as a true test of that character's abilities.
These shows are more a tongue-in-cheek look at self-gratifying fantasies.
Neither of the characters from these shows are happy because although they're basically gods they feel a need to preserve a part of themselves that their environments keep weathering away.

Well for starters he's not invincible, far from it, but he justifiably has the "final boss" status.
