So its midnight est, and its not out yet? Says about 13 more hours!
>All my other friends just have it on their wishlists
How much did you play, /v/?
>Will probably make a Kanako warrior and a Madotsuki sorcerer pawn
I'm not very creative, but very weeb.
>underage pirates bragging about playing the game early
you realize everyone played it 3years ago right, I'm pretty sure nobody is really bothered about waiting an extra week to re-play it
I have to work for six hours an hour after it comes out and spend the rest of the night with my gf.
So she's one of the preset pawns, right? I want to go through the game with her by my side.
replying to myself because I just realized I forgot the current year
>2012 was 4years ago
>a bit over 100 friends
>only 1 of them has it on their wishlist
>i'm the only one who bought it
a-at least there's /ddg/
Should I make a muscle wizard, or do I make a generic soulless waifu that brings in hires and riftbux like in the PS3 days?
if you're good at sliders you can be my friend.
cute pawns like mine only.
I don't think i'm terrible at sliders. There's usually one or two things that always irks me about my characters like too strong a jawline or the face is a little plain but otherwise they look fine.
well I was just kidding but you can rent my pawn any time http://steamcommunity.com/id/Izzyisbusy/
guarantee you it will be the best pawn ever
I only have people on my friends list that I know IRL.
I convinced one of them to get it, one of them is practically a NEET, who plans to get it when he can,
he's also the only one who played it on console, other than meand the others said that they'd look into it.
>I JUST WANTED SOME FREE PAWN RENTALS OK?!?
But you payed for them, anon.
My roomie who absolutely refuses to buy games that aren't atleast 60% off or under $20 caved and purchased DD:DA.
Hopefully I get some good Pawns out of my friends.
C-can I add you too?
yeah man but don't get mad when I take a dump on your pawn in-game
As long as you really were joking about having Aquisitor on your pawn I think we'll be fine. :^)
>PC rarely gets midnight releases literally because gaben and valve are too lazy to have a guy work at midnight once every blue moon
I was on your side for the longest time valve, but it gets harder and harder to defend your lazy business practices
>buy DD for friend because his birthday is coming up
>cant buy it twice because of some reason unknown to me, probably steam acting up
>been all day, cant buy it
>"hey anon, are you gonna be playing it with me tomorrow?"
>5 minutes ingame. wow this is shit
>buy new skills get own pawn
>climb the first monster
>this game is a gem
just wow only negative point is that the interface can't be scaled
>read about the loli pawn thing
it is true all of it
>Mfw I'm quitting work and going full-fledged NEET for a month
i doubt that every publisher says 10 am sharp, fuckboi.
MGSV is one of one game ive seen get a midnight release on steam, and im pretty sure its because kojimasenpai had gaben at gunpoint
>I'll be able to go MK and use a staff to help train my sorc pawn
>no more having to play as boring ass sorcerer myself
Why didn't I think of this sooner?
I like sorc, but the novelty wore off quickly when I played back on console. I'm sorry, but standing around casting isn't all too fun unless you have a full sorc party to counter the long as hell cast times.
>Will get back home around 5pm
>Dragon's Dogma will unlock at 7pm
>Today is the last day before two weeks long school break
>Meaning that I can play as fucking much of this game as I want for the next two weeks
I just didn't know what part that was and never bother to look it up before researching how to throw a computer together. I feel like it's basically like building a lego set that server a purpose.
>this kills the board
In my country we finish education at age of 19 or 20 depending on school mate.
>it's basically like building a lego set
A very very expensive lego set that can break quite easily if you touch it the wrong way, or apply too much force even though you need to apply quite a bit of force to put the parts in their slots.
Just put my first computer together a night or two ago. I was 100% certain I had broken a bunch of parts before I turned it on, and my 212 EVO didn't really fit, the mount for it was a bit uneven and I had to apply quite a bit of force to get the fourth screw into the hole. Holy fuck building a computer is one of the most stressful things I've ever done
piratefag here, i olnly tricked out my main pawn and made him useful.
even on hard and NG+, the other two are just monster bait.
I wonder how long it will take for pc friends to understand that it's a boring openworld ARPG with tons of fetch quests which completely shits the bed in all aspects aside from combat system which gets old very fast as well because of constant repetition.
Seriously can't wait for the stream of shitposting that will start in a few days.
It's stressful sure, but it really isn't that hard when you take the proper precaution and research. I had a mobo/CPU BIOS nightmare on my first attempt. Should of done more research and spent more on my initial CPU.
>Should of done more research and spent more on my initial CPU.
>tfw you put it all together and its time to turn it on
>press the power button and it lights up but nothing happens
Turned out I'm an idiot and closed the clips on my RAM instead of pushing it down until they clicked shut. Once I pulled the ram out and put it back in properly it booted into Bios
Shilling Steam Group I made because I don't want shit pawns.
Not making it a public group because fuck anime girl avatar faggots and attention whore sluts. If you want to join tell me, if not, suck my dick and I hope you enjoy Dragon's Dogma cause it's a good fucking game.
fuck off non NEET normies
HOLY SHIT GUYS
MERCEDES SFM PORN JUST REALISED FUCK
>mfw I'm NEET and I've already been shopping this week
>Shotas and strong women
Do strong mages count?
I'm considering re-buying DD on Steam, but there's a pretty pressing issue for me.
Unlike the PS3 version, there's no option for Japanese audio.
Can I really make a cute sounding little girl with the English voices? Is such a thing even possible?
Lack of Japanese is a real deal breaker.
Anyone here gonna have a two handed main pawn? All I'm seeing is people preparing for Fighter pawns, Mage pawns and Ranger pawns
I need a strong two handed warrior, so please add me
add me even if you don't run 2handed warrior, I need pawn diversity
My pawn will be a
non loliheal and buffslut who knows her shit and revives automatically
Join Steam Group to share Pawns when it releases.
on a scale of 1 - 10
I give this game a 2
Is this what I need to do to make a decent MK?! I don't want to play so much assassin, or warrior for that matter.
But I don't want to gimp myself either
I am a little sceptical to the stat system. The gameplay seems fun though
>But I don't want to gimp myself either
You can't really gimp yourself in this game (included you get the addon gear)
Without addon: sure, you could min max like that but with addon? shit nigga, you could level 1-200 as mage and still kick butt should you change to assasin
tl;dr: don't care about vocation distribution and just play what you want
1st for Gumi pawn
But don't they have like the worst strenght bonus? And don't I need to go to the post-game island to get the best gear?
Oh, I did some reading up long ago, it seemd important to level the right vocations, to be effectiv in the isle.
your 'fighter 1-18'
'19-35 warrior' etc.
I know you were just using it as a template for making MK, but i used it to see what class I should play.
I'm not going to. fuck fighters
Who brown goddess pawn here?
Repostan because I'm a shit.
Question! I've already played 100-200 hours on PS3, not sure the exact amount but I platinum'd it. I am hype as fuck for another go at this glorious game, but I'm looking for some interesting build ideas. Last time I played I switched around between all the vocations but mostly specialized in magick. I originally wanted to play an MK but it was a bit slow paced from the start and the FPS didn't help it's appeal. Ultimately I spent most of the game as a magick archer which was fun as fuck and I'm really tempted to just play it again, but I feel obligated to try something else.
So, are there any cool/unique/interesting builds out there? I was considering making Kazuma Kiryu with a Haruka pawn and doing an unarmed build, but the shitty unarmed combat looks boring as fuck. Looks more like something you'd do for a challenge, not as a fun way to play though the game.
I was also looking at the Iraklis sword, we should be getting all those DLC weapons aside from the Berserk stuff right? I never spent much time playing warrior but love the slow huge weapon style so that might be a cool thing to try. Only thing I'm worried about is building all that strength would kind of lock you in to the build.
Any other ideas? If I can't decide something I'll probably just end up making a completely average character and switch around to whatever I feel like at the time.
Why don't you like fighters? They abillites seems awesome, sword n shield, relativly grounded combat style, best looking armor.
As I understand it, the damage output is rather bad though (which is a shame!)
>But don't they have like the worst strenght bonus? And don't I need to go to the post-game island to get the best gear?
They also barely give a shit about base strength. Most of MK's unique abilities only consider strength, not character strength.
Having more strength helps, since core skills work as expected, as do skills that MK shares with Fighter. But you want to play a MK, so just play a MK. If you want to pick up a few warrior/assassin levels or something, go for it. Lion's share of your attributes are going to come from gear, however.
>you will never have a dance off with your bro to vocaloids blasting out of the boombox
man... I just don't know anymore..
>not a pale, black haired, blue eyed goddess
Let me laff at you
So generic it hurts
My buddy just went through a divorce so I gifted it to him last night.
He won the court case though because she was fucking nuts.
>play leaked version
>read that savegames will be compatible with legit version
>create a new save, but don't do anything more than finish the tutorial and getting my pawn
>in the pirate copy still, pimp out my pawn with CE, max vocations, all skills etc, decent stats, but keep level artificially at 1
>use this savegame in the legit version
>people will rent my pawn like crazy, showering me in gifts and rift bux because she's so helpful
>no VACcine or anything because it all has been done in the offline pirate version
>Come to /v/ for social companionship
>Even everyone here hates useless faggots like you
Become an hero to the other NEETs, might save a few with your sacrifice.
I like the English pawn voices just fine. Unlike a lot of other Japanese games that drop the JP va's, the setting actually suits English voices. Same reason fromsoft doesn't even bother recording a JP voice track for their games.
Fighters are fairly strong and have good skills. They do good consistent damage by using their perfect block or hindsight sweep to get right back to smacking stuff. Also have Dragon's Maw as an invincible panic attack
why is faggotry like this allowed? why couldn't it have been cute japanese girls? what is this shit? anon and his step-brother dancing the night away while poppa fiddles little anon-imouto? get that shit outta here
Capcom is full of bro tier devs. It's their corporate sector that's fucked to shit. They'll just be handed random cancellations for shit they were working on or orders to restrict certain shit for dlc.
>This game will unlock in approximately 6 hours
does the capcom skeleton dev team has so much knowledge to include the following in less than a week?
>detection if your savegame is from a pirated copy
>let's you play in offline only, when you enable online it tells you it will overwrite your save file if you continue
one can hope, eh? I'd rather not see lvl 200 pawns with 3 stars everything 1 minute after launch. Or even worse, hacked shit like >>324015370
Experiment. The game doesn't really penalize you for being indecisive. All the classes are viable with the exception of maybe mage- it's great for pawns but kind of lame for the player character unless you just want to let your pawns have all the fun.
Thanks, now I might be able to enjoy the game instead of having the nagging thought of not optimilizing - which could have ruined my character later.
Also a picture
>trying to take a nap so i can wake up just in time to play DDDA but I'm filled with anxiety.
>I've been playing the "pre-release" version but making another character and thinking of a pawn to share with everyone is keeping me awake
>want two handed warrior pawn because they are fun as fuck
>want strider pawn to climb bosses with me (strider) because that's fucking fun as fuck
>want mage pawn because they're fun as fuck (heals, buffs, brontide anyone?)
>want strider pawn because they have auto aim and are DPS machines if trained correctly
>be off work all week
>figured id be free friday for Dogma fun and games
>get surprise call from boss
>ey anon we need you to help out in a household goods job itll take all day
Now i wana die, i hate household goods ive waited for this game forever and the one day i want off is the day they decided to call me
Does god hate me?
I am not familiar with the game, so I was afraid that I would have a really bad character in the dlc, which would suck as it would require me to start over. I wasnt aware that it didnt matter that much.
warrior is the most satisfying vocation
Moving, as in help deliver shit to places ect
Its a pretty simple job, butt occasionally shit gets too big and takes all day
Household goods is when we deliver furniture and shit from a house to a new house or back to the warehouse and because its usually rich people woth big houses and a lot of shit itd take us hours to get it done
they don't call it a struggle for nothing
>13 more hours
>Post was made 8 hours ago
The hype is too fucking real holy shit. Finally bought all the parts for my pc build so it's ready in time to play this
DAILY REMINDER THAT CAPCOM SHILLS ARE PUSHING THIS CONSTANTLY ON /V/ WITH GREAT EFFORT
DAILY REMINDER, THAT THIS SHIT IS LITERALLY POOR MAN'S KINGDOM OF AMALUR
DAILY REMINDER NOT TO FALL FOR /V/ HYPES!
>best attack is jump normal attack
>everyone is having a good time discussing the game, playing the game, anticipating the game's release
>you're just sitting there, shitposting
Must feel bad to not like video games anymore
Can anyone post that comparison of someone that mix-maxed for 200 lvs vs someone that played all classes equally vs someone that only played str classes? It was a nice pic to show that mix-maxing to that extent it's unnecessary.
I laughed anon, we're all gonna make it soon. We're all gonna fly into free
two different kinds of boring
clearly kingdoms of amalur was intended to be an actual mmo and pretty much plays like one by yourself which was so boring I had to bum rush to the end to complete it at all
dragons dogma was intended as single player and you customize multiple people from scratch, still boring but
I never play MMORPGs but I would sub and play the shit out of DDO
POST MORE DDO WEBUMS PLEASE
just finished the game and got the mercy ending
i dont know how to feel about this
Nah, Landscaping was even worse as i had to dig and get filthy while here at worse i get super sweaty cuz im not super /fit/ but like i said big jobs arent as common as one would think, and its easy pay
Either way this is just my current work soon ill be making
hit cartoons, movies, and games haha
Thod id settle for something simpler
Best inclinations for warrior?
My pawn currently is Challenger (usually hear him mutter something along the lines of; ILL TAKE ON THE STRONGEST ARISEN), and I think Scather. He doesn't climb monsters though, even though I always do, even as a warrior.
He can also not use Arc of Defiance propely. Any tips?
I just delivered the hydra head and I was standing around in town and realized its deathly quite. Aside from the occasionally shouting geezer.
Maybe its my game, but I doubt it.
When the time comes does steam automatically unlock the game or do I have to do that manually? I'm probably gonna be asleep when the time comes and I don't want to have to wait for that shit.
What is mitigator and how to get it?
I'm having really trouble training a decent pawn. I want my pawn to be good so other anons have use for him.
Also, if I equip my pawn with the best gear (probably my own) and then save in the inn, then take all the armor back, will it have that armor for other anons to use?
just watch trailers. I didn't capture any footage while playing the game. Best stuff is in the trailers.
Mitigator is for attacking the weaker enemies first, challenger for attacking the ranged enemies first. As your pawn it's better to set him to take care of those first and you take care of the stronger enemies, pawns are not very good against stronger enemies, also I'm pretty sure they can't climb onto bigger enemies, at least I never saw it happening.
It might be worth playing if it wasn't a grind fest that takes 8 hours to even begin being fun.
There's a reason dragons dogma general shits on dragons dogma online and it's not because it requires a VPN to play. There's also really low pop because even the nips hate it.
No they don't, pawns have more than one active inclination, I think it goes up to three, of course sometimes one inclination will have priority over another, but it's definitely possible to set your pawn to have Mitigator and Challenger as primary inclinations.
I plan on going a STR Assassin, mostly using sword and board on hard mode for my first run. Do I just want to be Fighter from 1-10 then Assassin all the way to 200? How squishy will I be? Should I sub in a few levels on the way with something that would get me more health?
Also, will I naturally get enough DP to change my vocation at level 10 or will I have to make sure to do some side quests or some shit?
Yeah I get that, but then they go for both the strongest and the weakest enemies. So combined, they are basically Scather.
Why would I want my pawn to take the weakest AND the strongest enemies? Doesn't make sense.
thanks, asked because I thought medicant only affects items
I wish you could do sorcerer heavy spells as mystic knight.
Warrior is pretty fun, has 5 STR gain (Assassin has 6) and the biggest health gain in the game.
His stamina gain is shit though, so don't level Warrior too long, or you won't have a lot of Stamina for your Assassin.
medicant for obvious reasons, utilatarian if you want it to sync heal with another healer, challenger if you want it to deal more damage. i'd say go for medicant/utilatarian with challanger as it's third highest inclination
If you want to be a minmax fag, I'd personally level Warrior for 40 levels, Ranger for 30 and Assassin for the other 30. Lots of STR and health and quite a bit of Stamina. Shit magick defense tho.
The difference between someone going every class for 10 levels and someone who just minmax for magic or physical damage is only 200 points by level 100.
A complete and utter fucking waste of time to play through the game as a class you likely wont enjoy for a pittance of a stat growth that wont mean shit by the time you reach 100 anyway.
Play what you want, ignore minmaxing since its irrelevant. Game isnt even hard anyway
>one can hope, eh? I'd rather not see lvl 200 pawns with 3 stars everything 1 minute after launch. Or even worse, hacked
Then don't hire them. It will normalize eventually, and they won't get rift bux from you.
I only intend on hiring from friends.
Everyone else? Who cares. Let them do what they will. It hardly affects you, if does at all.
I played a bit of strider in the pirated copy. can't decide on my third bow skill though. so far I used
Full Bend / Mighty Bend
Threefold Arrow / Fivefold Flurry
Haven't even set another skill right now because these two are the only I ever use but what would be a good third choice?
The gif is the best part, and it's a real proper
title if you don't have an account to search google for:
Janis (Dulce Mariposa) - Made in Xspana #6 - Cute Submissive Teen Choked and Fucked by Nacho Vidal!
How important is stat growth?
Like, do i need to min/max what classes i level or can i just go ahead with a general theme and perform reasonably?
Just no, high elves are made for romantic evenings and tender vanilla love unless they betray you, then you are free to rape them. A brown elf is nothing more than a breeding sow.
Lucky for you. I just went through and made them.
Even though it's not out yet, I can already whore my pawn out.
Previous console Arisen will be my pawn. You know him, no need for introductions. id/axelord
>people actually wanting to keep using their pirate save instead of feeling the wind in their backs ago, starting from anew
>it's been 1/15 for 9 hours now in EST usa, which is already more than half the distance past the international date line
>game still is fucking locked
dude i hate the japanese so fucking bad. this is it. this is literally the last time i ever buy a japanese game
this is just fucking ridiculous. i could have just refunded the game and pirated it. still might now.
Is there a reason to use preset pawns? Will I miss out on any content by only using custom pawns?
alright so now that capcom have milked their money's worth out of the franchise how long until fucking DD2 already that is literally all that matters
>Get to the dragon
>Fat bald man of jewish eviction is being thrown around by goblins
>He's apparently my "beloved"
>If I save him he will live with me
>Game expects me to save him
>Turn around and walk away
Alright that's enough of a reason to restart when it officially releases
I hope to fuck they bring the MMO over to the west. I mean, I can play it already, but it's just not the same with the heavy ping and primarily japanese community. I just want decent ping and english speakers.
I dont even know which class to play fist, im so fucking hyped
I wonder how many poor souls were given a choice to either lick dry nuts or just walk away.
>Being this much of a fucking retard when it's been explained over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again that builds don't matter.
Could be worse. Could be the Duchess.
But builds actually do matter, they matter less the better equipment you have, but they only truly stop mattering when you have fully upgraded post game gear.
All you parrots are full of shit.
>mfw I have 10 days off work starting today
feels fucking fantastic tbqh family
>well past noon on Jan 15th here
>still four hours to unlock
>mfw pirates have been playing for days
/v/ was right again. I should've fucking pirated. Is it possible to get refunds on a pre-purchase?
Give uncensored/source Julius you fuck.
Its funny you say that while being one yourself. I got through the base game and BBI 1st run and I never ever used builds of any sort. Unless we're talking hard difficulty which should be attempted after you know more about how the game works because each and every single player that chooses hard mode from the get go without any sort of prior knowledge about the game will always without fail, either come here to ask about builds and strats or go search for related stuff online.
But hey if it makes your peen happy go ahead and indulge yourself in builds. Game not being viable without them is absolutely false.
