>tell people I couldn't figure out what I was doing because they were was no tutorial
>go back and double check
>they're talking about the messages on the ground that teach you how to move and attack only
Gee whiz I wish I had a real tutorial like what my fucking stats do, how to level up and maybe a little message about multiple paths and being aware of your surroundings or something
>wahhh theres no hand holding!!!!
go back to ur casual shit fgt
But you can just can just bring up the pop-up description in the stats menu. It tells you exactly what they do, the only exception being the increase in casting speed when you reach 40/45 DEX.
>oh yeah here's how you move and attack, you probably could have figured that out for yourself, as for the rest of the game you're on your own buddy! don't worry all those others totally went in there blind too ;)
So getting good is just reading everything on the wiki?
Well that explains a lot.
Why are you lying to me?
The game doesn't tell me shit about "resistance", or "poise" or "item discovery".
Is resistance my defence stat? What does poise do beyond some vague shit about staggering? Is item discovery more than just my drop rate?
I would much rather have shit like this go unexplained and have to google it than to have a pages of tutorial text shoved down my throat.
It's mostly pretty obvious, or you figure it out quickly anyway.
>how to level up and maybe a little message about multiple paths and being aware of your surroundings or something
You should be able to stumble upon the leveling up at a bonfire aspect, and the multiple paths thing.
>being aware of your surroundings
You really need a tutorial message to tell you to be aware of your surroundings? So your default setting is unaware of your surroundings?
Looks like I got baited.
>What does poise do beyond some shit about staggering?
nothing, it's what it does
item discovery is nothing more than your drop rate and resistance increases your defence and resistances to poison and toxin
pc related learn to read
Fuck you're dense
Resistance is self explanatory, higher defense you take less damage from that attack
Poise is exactly that, the higher it is the less you stagger
Item Discovery means you find more and better items
>mad that the game didn't tell him to be aware of his surroundings.
I agree. Good thing the new Famitsu interview confirms that they've added a minimap and quest markers to Dark Souls 3.
dark souls is not hard to figure out
like literally just try shit
you know if you've spent (or lost) all your souls and you're already hollow there's essentially no consequences for dying?
just figure it out, shit.
Playing devi'ls advocate: I think he meant the process of spending souls, not how to get to the menu itself. Not that it's that hard to grasp, but it's very atypical, so I don't know.
>people this autistic actually live among us
>I want the game to play itself for me
>I want my stats to be auto allotted because reading is hard
Go play Demon's Souls if you want real tomfoolery, Dark Souls stats aren't even hard to understand. "Oh cool, Vitality with the heart symbol increase my HP and I know this because the number next to HP on my stats screen got bigger"
>Tfw increased nothing but luck in my first Demon's Souls playthrough because my friend told me there were rare drops
>Eventually see Blue Blood sword on list of boss weapons I can make
>SUDDENLY KILLING EVERYTHING IN NG+ IN ONE HIT
I was fucking ecstatic.
This is the new generation my friend, they need the user interface to tell them everything about where to go and what to do, if it doesn't they get lost and confused and don't know how to adapt.
