>tfw have to constantly look up what items do on the cheat sheet before picking em up when I have to make a choice
>tfw want Lilith
>tfw can't beat Ultra Greed as Azazel
I do that too anon. As for beating greed mode with azazel you just gotta be lucky with item pickups.
I grabbed an item that lets me reflect my tears off of walls and so what I did was run near a wall and shoot my laser towards it, causing it to bounce all the way to the opposite end of the room.
I abused the shit out of this and beat greed since I didn't have to be anywhere near the enemies or bosses to damage them
Tip from someone who beat greed mode as azazel; when there arent any enemies that can fly or with explosive attacks (ie troll bombs) just sit in the corner hovering over the rocks. Also, if you want to be lazy and dont care about losing health, wait til all enemies have spawned and then lose one black heart. Lilith or whoever you unlock though sucks imo, i never use them
>can't beat the easiest mode with the easiest character
sounds like a case of the git gud. also as azazel what you want to start picking up are straight up damage items and range items, which can extend he range of his brimstone slightly. additionally, learn to dodge incoming attacks by looking for tells and knowing the range of your brim. move around constantly, don't just sit there spamming like a retard.
>his attack is atrocious
>objectively does more damage than any other character
Did you only ever play him while he was accidentally overnerfed or something? He can oneshot any early-game enemies, he's fast, and he can fly. He clears rooms faster than anyone, his only downside is his range which doesn't matter if you don't get hit.
I agree, azazel sucks ass because if that range and I'm fairly certain you can't increase it either with any range ups. It always seems to be super short no matter how many range ups I pick up
>fighting greed with azazel
>mfw he does that twirl and shits coins everywhere
Naa you dont really have to get that close, boi enemies always run straight at you so as long as youre reflexes arent too shoddy hes easy asf. Dunno i never play him myself much (apart from when i wanted to unlock lilith)
Is Afterbirth every going to come to Vita?
You can increase it with range pickups, and his Brimstone does as much damage at max range as it does at point blank. Learn to hit enemies with the tip.
Learn to dodge you fucking turboscrub.
Nope, it's still really easy to break. The difficulty curve is fucked, Basement is ALWAYS the hardest floor on Greed mode, and it then gets easier and easier, because you get to pick and choose your own items.
The only way to lose in Greed mode is to get shit luck early-game so you can't start snowballing. Azazel's a character who can't lose early-game because he doesn't need any items yet, and he can even oneshot hard waves like the double spiders.
Oh, it's a bait thread. Nevermind, back to finishing Hush as The Lost, then slogging through for Hard-Mega Satan and Hush as every Rebirth character+Lilith.
The item pools are so fucked.
>implying it's not ridiculously easy to streak as Azazel in Greed Mode
maybe you missed the part where op confessed absolute impotence at being able to beat greed mode with azazel. even if you can't do it 100% of the time, you most certainly can 90% of the time. OP has almost demonstrated pretty clearly that he simply doesn't know how to use azazel. he doesn't know the basic strat of charging when not standing in front of enemies getting your ass kicked, he doesn't know how to use azazel's speed, he doesn't know how to kill enemies with the tip of the laser. OP is a shitter who needs to git gud, period.
>make a thread on /v/ whining about a videogame
>/v/ calls oyu out for being shit at said game
>go full defence mode
holy shit you're such a faggot. Azazel is one of the easiest characters to play as, you literally need to stopped fucking crying and learn to play the game
Stream yourself beating greed mode with azazel right now. I'll pay you if you do it first try.
there is seriously no arguing with the incompetent. just keep practicing until you learn how to deal with each character. seriously, the dozens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people who glide through both modes with azazel will happily disagree.
>w-why would I want money for proving the BS I'm spewing, I'm busy right now.. leave me alone..
And so the discussion ends, you've been exposed as a fraud who can't back up his claims.
Of course I won.
You have a big mouth and nothing to back it up with.
You could blow me the fuck out and get whatever game you want on Steam right now, but no, you're a fucking pussy
No, the dailies definitely are. But I mean getting high score broken runs with Azazel are shitry sometimes because there are those people who know those obscure better methods to get a higher score. This is why I like using lost. Guaranteed good position on leaderboards for me.
>and get whatever game you want on Steam right now
'Cept i can't. I am on a Laptop which can't use streaming software. And I wasn't that guy you were talking to.
It doesn't matter who you are, there are multiple people ITT claiming beating greed mode as Azazel is the easiest thing ever.
Not one of them apparently has the balls to prove it. The second you want some proof they all go quiet like the shitposters they are.
She's fun. Not the strongest, but fun.
Even after you unlock everything you have to pick everything up too. So unless you've been pretty lucky you're gonna have to run Angel Room runs for hours so you can pick up Immaculate Conception and shit like that which never show up.
>Not one of them has the balls to prove it
That's because it's a fact. Nothing can be done if you legitimately suck at the game, sorry if that's the case.
Anyway, I got shit to do, have a nice day and enjoy your steak.
What's your teir list?
Judas, WoB Eve
D6 issac, Cain, Samson, Lilith
Issac, Azezel, Rezed Lazarus
Blue baby,Eve,Maggy, Lazarus
All of the above
No fun allowed
I haven't unlocked the keeper so I can't say for him
>Free Win tier
D6 Isaac, Azazel
Judas, Cain, Eve
Isaac, Lazarus, Maggy, Lilith
goes up two tiers on Greed Mode
???, The Lost with HM
>Just for the achievements tier
Keeper, The Lost
Most fun character tier: Eden
I know, but you shouldn't judge them separately. You pick those characters while taking into account the potential of transforming. In Eve's case you want to be in whore form pretty much all the time, though with Lazarus it's a bit more subtle.
You don't even know what backpedaling is
The only time Ultra Greed was difficult was the brief period of time when Nicalis made his coins way too strong. He's barely harder now than he was to begin with, the real challenge of Greed mode is getting to Ultra Greed, the fight itself is easy as fuck
Keeper is pretty fun.
I think swallowed penny kinda cheapens him though.
The real challenge of Greed Mode is the double champion Bloat round. That is pretty much the hardest thing in the game if you ask me. Relatively to the placement and everything.
It took me 2 months of daily runs to finish Keeper's sticky note. I don't even know if I want to finish Lost and the rest of cast for Hush+Mega Satan.
My first Keeper run was horrible. I got god-tier items, blank card and Jera, saw a Mystery card on the floor and decided to see what happened.
It teleported me to Error room on Depths 2 and consumed both the Mystery and Blank card. I killed Isaac for the Wooden Nickle post-Hush and called it a day. Since then, out of ~200 runs total, only 2 have ever been good enough for end-game content/not raped by RNG double taps.
I've been screwed over by the bloat a few times as The Keeper or The Lost, you have a fucking millisecond to move when he first spawns in or you just get hit by his lasers. Fuck the Bloat
Ah yes, of course. That's why you won't do it.
You could easily do it anytime, but you won't because there's a chance I might be lying and end up not giving you a steam game.
Well, yeah, Keeper and Lost are a different story, obviously. But as any character who can reliably heal himself, it's kind of a joke.
Lost with Holy Mantle is way easier than the Keeper, except for maybe the Mega Satan fight because Lost can't use Sacrifice Rooms.
At first I was like 'You're high as fuck'. And then I remembered you start with holy mantle now.
Back in my day Lost was hard dangnabbit. Had to walk four miles up a hill to pump our water too.
there isnt a chance you are lying
everyone knows you are are 100% lying
you are the type of retard that would go LOL THAT WAS A FLUKE DO IT AGAIN
or WELL I DIDNT SIGN ANYTHING SO NO MONEY
you are just an assmad faggot
You can stop trying anytime. Just admit you couldn't pull it off on the spot and be done with it. You're getting more pathetic with every post. Now you even type like a 14 year old.
>Except for the Mega Satan fight
>Because of Sacrifice rooms
It's actually not that bad if you do a run as another character every 10 runs or so and go the Angel room route.
Get some good RNG on item rooms, skip Satan room, but do look incase free shit and then 10 cents in the Donation box each floor until it jams/you get half a key.
It's way easier than people think, you aren't that gimped.
Mega Satan with Dunce Cap Crown of Light and Tech 2 is actually not that bad.
>still playing this game after Edmund announced Afterbirth+, another PAID 'extension', not even 6 months after Afterbirth, which was also a PAID 'EXTENSION'.
I liked BOI and Rebirth, but Afterbirth took on a whole new level of bullshit, not to mention Afterbirth+,.
What I mean is, The Lost can't guarantee he'll GET to Mega Satan even if you do everything perfectly, because without sacrifice rooms it's entirely RNG. The fight itself is not that hard, especially if you have some orbitals.
Guppy/Mulligan with Azazel or Brimstone is absurdly good.
I've yet to have an enjoyable run with Keeper. Worse than Lost.
For my money Bloat is the most annoying boss. Monstro II is sort of shit but wouldn't be that bad without the HP or red flies.
There is no proof I could provide. I could always back out and not give you shit.
Regardless, it's okay. You won't do it, you can't. No one apparently can.
And so we lay rest to BS claims from people who try to make it sound as if greed mode as Azazel is the easiest thing in the game.
If you menat Monstro, you best be kidding. Monstro is by far the easiest boss next to Pin. Just because theres two of them doesn't mean it's any harder to dodge his attacks.
Fucking this. The DLC was a shitshow and now he wants people to pay for another DLC so players can get an editor to fix the game themselves.
probably becuase people arent bad at the game
the only reason you could die as azazel in the game period is if you are retarded and push yourself into the enemy
like holy fuck how do you even get hit as him
No-one claimed it was the easiest, but Azazel is one of the most OP characters and was created to be a casual lazy mode for people who don't feel like playing as Eve or something. He's the character you play when you just want to kill 30 minutes on an easy Isaac run. I honestly can't understand how anyone could think he's weak, who would you rate as the strongest character?
By our "inability" to prove you wrong?
Because it's not worth our time to start up a stream and prove you wrong. Cause the whole point of this thread is to bait others into replying. And congrats, you did an amazing job, enjoy your e-peen and (you)s, hope they fill that void.
Go watch any dumb shit on Youtube.
Actually you are the only one who thinks im a fraud
in fact the original poster stopped ages ago
everyone here thinks you are retarded thats why so many people stopped replying
and it makes sense
what with you not being able to play the easiest character in the game without dying
>all these people going "NUH UH YOU JUST SUCK BRO!"
>not a single one of them can somehow back up their claims
>not a single one can just go and do a greed run as azazel right now
I play as Azazel because of the fly ability and nothing else. Runs are incredibly frustrating RNG heavy and Azazel makes them bearable.
HOWEVER, Azazel is still fucking frustrating on the early floors because of explosive piece of shits and unless you get good heart pickups or some sort of range whatsoever your run will end early.
Basically >>323910043 overall taking into account greed mode.
>God Tier aka Fun and Comfy Tier
Isaac, master of destiny
Azazel, le super edgy demon
>Great Tier aka respectable challenge
Judas, Cain, Samson
>Ok Tier aka Balanced Tier
>Ayy Lmao Tier
Lazarus, Blue baby
>Unfair but fun tier
>Unfair and not fun tier
The Keeper, LET'S JUST MAKE A CHARACTER WHICH 80% OF ITEM POOL IS EITHER USELESS OR UNOBTAINABLE LMAO
fuck you McNugget
people have given you a video of azazel being easy mode
its just no one wants to put in the effort to download, install, and set up streaming shit (which does take a good amount of time) and then play through the greed mode as the most boring player
What in the everloving fuck am I looking at.
>it finishes Isaac
>it requires base game and DLC
>You aren't paying for mod support, it's a full expansion with mod support as a bonus
Jesus fucking Christ Steakmund.
>All those blanks intentionally placed to make everything ambiguous so they can deliver a half-assed piece of shit with no repurcussions like Afterbirth, which is still missing actually promised content.
Wow a video?
What are the odds of people only uploading a video of them succeeding at it, not showing the many times they didn't do it?
I sure wonder!
And it takes no time at all to stream, shadowplay exists
How fucking pathetic do you have to be to think that nobody can't do a run as the easiest character in the easiest mode of the game? Nobody wants to set up a fucking stream just to please you, bitchboy
Keep it coming. I'm laughing so hard.
Please, more. I want MORE. Give me all your excuses for not being able to prove it despite it only taking a few minutes (far less than you spent shitposting in this thread already).
you mean that thing that no one uses because its a piece of shit?
and no you arent getting your stream
when literally the entirety of the thread is calling you retarded its really sad that you think that you are the only person on the face of the earth who is right
Aight go fuck yourself, I'll go rest on my 1001% throne, you piece of loser shit
>inb4 nuh uh you don't have 1001% post pics prove it so I can disprove your evidence
Nah, go suck your own dick ya retard
That's okay, I'll wait. I can be here.
At this point I really just want one of you "all bark no bite" faggots to do it. All of you say Azazel is by far the easiest character to do greed mode with and it's practically a free win.
Well go ahead. Just one of you. Not only will you get the satisfaction of blowing me the fuck out, the free steam game of your choice is still up for grabs as long as it isn't train simulator with all DLC
Fine then, you can find me at DietDrBeta on Twitch.
I'll be back putting it up between 3:30 and 4:30 Central standard.
I mostly use it for hosting Jackbox during college breaks.
Single AAA game or under would be nice, don't want to buy a huge pack or some crazy 3d modeling software for 300
Just so we are clear, the rules are simple: Start new random greed mode run as Azazel. Beat it.
You do however only have one try.
Why are you more willing to buy an AAA game to a random stranger instead of just admitting that some people may beat Greed mode with Azazel on their first try? I'm genuinely curious.
use the base ment seed
and the answer is yes it does because you arent limited to a certain number of items
basically you get stronger, enemies reach a peak and you get to point where steamrolling is an understatement and the game becomes impossible to lose
>I can't beat the easiest mode with the most OP character in the game
Because I do not believe that everyone can just beat greed mode with Azazel right away. Isn't that obvious?
People claim a lot of shit, especially on /v/ where they are anonymous. It's not just Binding of Isaac mind you, it happens with any game. Whenever you mention a specific character in the OP you immediately get a flock of people saying "No, [character] is actually the BEST/WORST".
I'd rather reward a guy who actually has the balls to put something behind a "no its super ez you just suck" kind of post and look like an idiot in the end than leave it like this.
He has actual autism, it's pretty obvious given how oblivious he is from the numerous people telling him X yet he still believes Y.
Instead of looking into it at all or considering his stance may be misguided, he requires an arbitrary method if proof to appease his mental handicap
Making prgress on Hush fights with each character.
Pic related I had a really tedious Hush fight as Blue Baby, took around 45 minutes.
I think it could work but due to how items work in isaac I think items shouldn't be keep in a NG+ scenario.
Maybe keep stats and some random traits like flight or transformations. Otherwise people would just get health ups forever.
Afterbirth has a lot of flaws, like how it seems to wants to punish players for getting a broken run even though that's the main draw of Isaac for many people .However, he did undo some of the nerfs and buffed some shit items like Shoop da Whoop and Crack the Sky to be pretty good. Plus I really enjoy the dailies and some of the new items.
To be fair, Azazel is bad against Ultra Greed, but it shouldn't matter too much since the way to him is easy as fuck and you should be able to pick up some strong items on the way.
Spare your money, Azazel really is an easy character. Not the easiest for Greed mode, that would be Lilith, but still an OP character under most circumstances. I'm not telling you just to boast my abilities in the game, it's just the truth. Yes, he has shit range, but his dmg is off the charts, and his mini-Brimstone has penetration. Also, he can fly, he starts with three black hearts BUT can also pick up regular HP. But if you can't see the truth for what it is then you deserve to pay 40$ for it, I guess. Be my guest.
If you die with Guppy's Collar, you can simply close the game normally and reopen it, your run will still be there and you can spawn back in and immediately die, which rerolls the chance to respawn from Guppy's Collar. It's also a way to give Keeper a half soul heart.
In what way, pray tell, did Breadmund "ruin" the game? Did the Stopwatch nerf trigger you? Did the fact that the charge for Box of Friends was raised from two rooms to four send you into a fit of rage? Tell me more, anon. I'm curious to hear more of your tales.
I know that a lot of players enjoy the broken runs but I think Edmund never had that as his vision for the game, it was always just supposed to be a twinstick shooter with a large number of powerups to add variation to runs. The most broken thing in the original was chocolate milk with brimstone and now we've got combos like blank card+habit+sun that make it literally impossible to die no matter how bad you are.
Just for shit´s and giggles really.
Not him but a lot of the new enemies and bosses suck ass and are even more tedious to fight than the vanilla ones, that was the main thing that ruined it for me.
Gets really fucking boring yo fight a million blue leeches from that shitter that summons them in a floor seemingly dedicated to blue leeches.
The worst edition to the game, why do they have so much fucking HP? Why is there an enemy that summons them endlessly? What an awful fucking idea it takes 7-8 shots to kill a single one without damage ups as if the game wasn't tedious enough without them already. Same thing with Ragman giving enemies inflated hp for no real reason is not fun.
>most op character
azazel starts out good but his attack really turns to shit late game, especially against bosses like isaac/hush/ultra greed
lilith on the other hand starts out good and and goes into game breaking mode as soon as you get anything battery or familiar related
I agree, that enemy's pretty shit. But then again so is Envy, or the brimstone wall-spiders. The game's full of those, just because Afterbirth brought along some more of those fuckers it doesn't mean it ruined the game. Most new enemies are fine, honestly. Now the brimstone ghosts, on the other hand...
Continous nerfs and changes with no explanation. I didn't mind the stop watch nerf since at least he told the community why he did it. It was a shitty reason mind you, but a reason nonetheless.
They still won't release patch notes. The guy ignores everyone, and clearly does not care about the quality of the game anymore. Afterbirth was just a big ass dissapointment. The alt floors only change one or two enemies and the music, they're pretty much recolors. The secret boss is just boring and not engaging to fight against. New items are nice but the originality is clearly falling off, with items that are literally recolors of rebirth items and stuff like "love bean" "giga bean"
I hate typing on a phone
I'm not sure if it's proven, but it seems many of the new enemies are tanky, there's more obvious examples with bosses but even the shitty recoloured "new" enemies in afterbirth appear to have more health, and for me it was the last straw that made me realise I wasn't having fun anymore.
Biggest issue are the new earlygame bosses which, whilst appropriately easy, are oddly tanky. It further forces you to cheese it early on, and as a player that preferred not to scum (nothing wrong with scumming early game mind you, it's basically required for Keeper), I just got fed up of wasting time attacking a bland bossfight.
TL;DR it's not all terrible, dailies are great (although the scoring system is a bit backwards in my opinion), but the additional tedium of some of the new enemies sent me over the edge to finally stop playing.
It's a shame, because I really enjoy that enemy design. A leech that charges in cardinal directions but explodes in diagonal one is a really good design, because it means you have to play chicken with them. But I have no idea why they need to be so tanky.
Same with Rag Man, who for some reason has the same HP as Monstro, despite the fact that he's constantly spawning enemies that you need to control. Pretty good core design, but the numbers are way overboard.
>lilith + quad shot + laser ring tears + the habit
>mfw boss rush
thing is now that there's so many items, getting a combination of three specific ones in a single run is immensely low. even if you have the D6 and perthro unlocked, good luck actually finding a habit in the maybe two or three stores you'll encounter.
and really, since brimstone was always immensely OP even on its own, i don't think complete balance was his intention.
Weird, I honestly thought the new items were some of the most original he has put in the game so far. Multidimensional baby, Continuum, Purity, Eden's Blessing, Night Light, Chaos, Crown of Light, even Incubus or Succubus are great and are an incredible addition to the game. I agree, alt floors are pretty meh (especially the Dank Depths - what's even the point of that?) and I would have loved for the Blue Womb to be an entire new path, but it's not all bad. Greed mode's incredibly fun, Lilith's fun, Keeper's shit, the Lost buff was needed to make him a genuinely fun character, and the Eve nerf works beautifully. The dailies are very fun, and in the rare days where there are special dailies the fun is doubled. It got a hundred of extra hours of gameplay from me, which for that price is a fucking steal.
Greed Mode is incredibly easy, especially as azazel who is widely regarded to be the easiest character.
>Practice not getting hit
>But the right stat-ups, plus occasional health up for devil deals
That's really all there is to it.
Sure it was the Missing Poster and not the Missing Page? The one with Isaac's little face on it.
Sure it was a Sacrifice and not a Curse room? The one with the spikes in the middle and little-nothing else.
Also adding to that, the self-sacrifice room buff was HUGELY needed, and the L-shaped and tiny rooms coupled with the hundred new room layouts help give the game some new variety. The new UI is really helpful and having to beat Hush and Mega Satan with every character has been a fun challenge for me. However the unlocks for beating Mega Satan are completely shit, and the unlocks for doing things with the Keeper are trash-tier so there's that.
Oh they aren't all bad, anon. Some of the new ones are really good, but the bad ones are getting worse and worse. The dailies are pointless for me since I don't have any steam friends,so I just don't even bother.
Character buffing was nice, specially the lost, but I don't really count that as part of the expansion. It was something they eventually needed to add,and since afterbirth was coming out they said "fuck it,why not"
Well I mean they're not 100% horrible but they're instant rerolls. I would never grab black bean though, just because I dislike it so much.
Giga bean's ok if I don't have any other active, but most of the time I do. I would take lemon mishap over giga bean any day of the week
Pure memorization will save your life anon.
Azazel's ironically the worst character in Greed mode, due to how Ultra Greed is programmed. Your best bet is to stack as much range as you can along with shit like poison/flies/spiders/slow and the like, and let them do the damage.
Nah. Black Bean is worse because the AoE is small, and Poison Touch works during invincibility time so you can infect things by yourself. Also, Poison Touch causes black hearts to drop. Not to mention that Poison Touch works with Unicorn Stump/Horn/Chariot/Gamekid while Black Bean does not.
Hey, if you get enough of them, you can get a crazy good breaking run. They're great on Samson too.
It didn't use to. They changed it in Afterbirth to apply Serpent's Kiss poison instead of normal poison.
Azazel is the best character in the game that isn't Isaac w/D6. The fucker can fly, does a ton of damage for the early game, and his range is only an issue if you get a Range Down or two. Even his base range is good enough for quick hit and run strategies. The only real boss he has an issue with is Hush, and that's just the same fight strategy as you would do when fighting Ultra Greed.
Azazel is great for anyone who isn't the Hush or Ultra Greed. Even then, as I've been saying in my last few posts, stacking on-hit effects basically makes that a moot point. Add in a few Range Ups, and maybe a little bit of damage to take care of the little fucks he spawns in, and all that's left is to dodge his relatively easy patterns.
Maybe I just think it's easy because I got 1001%, iunno.
I think a big problem has been that a lot more characters start with active items they don't want to drop nowadays. Isaac has his d6, Judas has belial, Lilith has friend box, Keeper has wooden nickel, Eve has razor blade, and none of them would want to drop their starting item for a giga bean.
Fun fact: there's an upper limit to the damage reduction Hush and Ultra Greed can have.
I know because while on some broken runs, I can melt mini Hush and then struggle forever vs. Hush
But a semi-recent run as Lilith with Ipecac Guppy and a billion flies literally shredded him because of damage scaling + insane damage/hit.
Honestly, I'm pretty good at Isaac (100%'d Rebirth, have yet to have time for Afterbirth though) but Azazel is amongst my worst characters. We're talking Lazarus-tier. I think it's because he plays so differently from all the others, and I find him pretty boring so I'm not as focused.
>or will there be more "content" patches that fuck up preexisting saves?
There's more incoming, though I haven't kept up with the game to know what. Last I recall there's going to be a bestiary, finally. You can probably expect some more bullshit ideas like pre-buff SPEED or something as well.
The "expansion" is "content complete."
And future patches should be solely "balance" and bugfixes.
Saves won't be fucked anymore.
However, there is ANOTHER Paid DLC coming in <6 months with modding support.
One thing I saw somebody suggest is to periodically stop attacking Hush, wait, and then drop a single bomb. Supposedly that makes the damage reduction scaling reset and scale to a single bomb's worth of damage, giving you time to hit him with less reduction after he readjusts. Is that true or no?
Also damage reduction is an awful mechanic, in one run I had a Devil card at Hush and had to stop and ask myself it it was going to actually do anything.
Because he claims it's going to be a full expansions, like Afterbirth, comedy right there.
That said, Afterbirth hasn't even delivered everything it promised.
Most notably, the first point on the list: A new end-game area.
Hush isn't a new end-game area, it's a side area and only provides an ending once.
>actually wanting Health Up items
Protip, the best amount of Red Hearts to have is either 1 or 0. Typically I prefer 1 Red Heart, as it lets me take larger Devil Deals for cheap. Along with that, you get access to both the regular Arena and the Boss Area rooms, and if you're not terrible at the game, you should have better, if not consistent access to the Devil/Angel rooms due to how their appearance is calculated.
The biggest issue with having just one Red Heart is that people tend to forget how much health they actually have when they hit a Curse of the Unknown. The simplest answer that I have for that is to simply git gud and not get hit.
>Lilith + Mom's Knife + Quad Shot
>For some reason mashing the shoot button with Lilith's familiars keeps the knives extended at max range forever
>Melt Hush in five seconds flat
Hush was going to be an endgame area. As in that's where the game would end and you'd get the credits. That's why there's an ending for when you beat him and the reason the area is kind of fashioned like an end-game starting area (bunch of chests and items). But playtesters disliked that you couldn't have the option to keep going, especially after getting a bunch of new items. So they added in the beam of light/sheol hole.
My guess is that they are going to add a new boss or area after Hush now. One of the blanks on the blog can fit in "new ending" and the only way to have a new ending is for there to be a new boss to fight.
Or a merger of the Dark Room/Chest route.
Honestly, Hush should have been a "neutral" end route from Womb 2 down, had some rooms before the boss room and the loot boxes, and a bunch of nightmare creatures and such.
Not sure if there's anyone here that'll even need it, but if anyone wants some tips about Isaac in general, I can probably give a few.
For reference, I've gotten 1001% in Afterbirth, The Real Platinum God back when Rebirth was new, and I need to get Platinum God back again in the original so I can finally get that bugged achievement to unlock in the original Isaac.
Thfuck? Read all the new items on the cheat sheet. Done. Increase Azazels range, it works now. Ludovico = OP ring of death. Improvise. Different characters require different strategies for them to be good. Lilith is crap without her starting item, she was designed to make you use the babies since they were worthless before.
this item alone makes afterbirth great
>mfw mutant spider + mutant spider through diplopia
fun fact, it doesn't even impact your firing speed to pick up both of them, it only gives you eight tears
>Bugged achievement in the original Isaac.
Oh the pain. I met the requirements for Platinum God and it never unlocked, because even though I got the Steam achievements, all the items, etc.
>The game gave me the unlock for Eve's Bird Foot as both Eve and Samson and thus never registered me as a "True Platinum God."
Eternal God's literally the only thing I don't have in the original, and that's because I deleted my data for the original ages ago. When the Eternal update came out, I started up a new file and just bumrushed that content. I'm guessing it not only looks for the Eternal Content having been completed, but also to see if you meet the criteria for Platinum God, which I currently do not. Honestly, it's more of a pain to re-achieve it than it's worth, just to satiate my autism for this fucking game.
I just started playing rebirth, do you have to fight any other bosses in the game like secret bosses or does it only goto moms heart?
Also is afterbirth an add on dlc or an expansion pack with different story/bosses.
How do I get angel rooms to appear as well?
I dunno man, the only babies that were 100% lame before were Bobby and Maggy. But even then if they were free items you might as well grab em in case you get a D4 or find a Dice room later. And now they can even trigger the tumors transformation which is nice.
The other babies like Double Shot, Rainbow, Robo Baby 1.0 and 2.0, weren't anything AMAZING but they certainly weren't bad either.
I figured as much. The Eternal content in Isaac really isn't that fun, honestly. It could be just that I'm bad at the original after spending so much time on Rebirth/Afterbirth, but the Eternal enemies felt about as fun to fight as playing as Afterbirth!Lost was. Complete bullet sponges, with nerfs across the board for a lot of items.
For fucks sake, the D6 has a pretty fucking huge chance of removing whatever item you're trying to reroll in the Original now, that's just retarded. I get trying to make the D6 less OP, but that certainly wasn't the way to go about it.
Minor spoiler here.
You have to kill Mom's Heart ~8 or 9 times from what I recall, then kill the new boss that spawns in it's place.
There's more that comes after that, you're a little more than halfway through the actual game content, story-wise.
>quit the game due to RNG horse shit and crazy shit that steakmund was pulling a while back.
>start playing again.
And all interest is lost. Too bad I can't refund I think
Whoops, accidently posted too soon somehow.
>Is Afterbirth DLC or an Expansion pack?
It's both. A lot of the changes introduced in Afterbirth were widely derided in the fanbase, but it does add more bosses and items, some of which are pretty cool.
All you need for Angel Rooms is to not take a Devil Deal. You then have ~50% chance for one to spawn in place of a Devil Deal, whenever you fulfill the requirements for a Devil Deal to spawn in.
I'll prop wait until I've played rebirth a lot and got familiar with the items and stuff then move to afterbirth then. I'm enjoying what I played so far.
I will keep this in mind. Seem like it's gonna take me a while to get to that many kills. Just got over the hump of a -12 streak.
