What does /v/ think about this guy? I don't think he deserves all the hate.
Yeah I used to have respect for him, until I found out the shit to do with the IGF and his previous team he worked with. He's in the middle of a massive circle jerk who fuck over other devs.
I think he just said all of those things to be deliberately provocative to publicise his work, but really couldn't handle the heat when he was brought up on it. He deserved what he got in that he got exactly what he wanted.
Fez is one of my favourite games though. Really disappointed that I'll never get to play Fez 2.
Phil Fish is actually one of those rare cases that deserve all the hate this sub can muster and then even some more. It's not like he's the victim here, he acts openly like a total asshole just to get publicity.
humility goes a long way, and phil fish has none. I dont know what he expects from people hes never met when hes done nothing but shittalk a community of people. Hes a manchild that takes internet slathering of his name personally, adding infinitely more fuel for people to throw shit at him. He's basically a tumblrina without facist feminist ideals, except instead of screaming Goobergators, its everyone that isnt him.
Less is more when it comes to speaking on the internet. CWC's life is in shambles because of it, Fish canceled his game in a hissy fit of people shit talking him, and Egoraptor went from a beloved icon to "Arin", the Jew with shit taste and no skill in videogames.
>I don't think he deserves all the hate.
He got where he is by knowing people in the IDGF and they made sure he won. Phil Fish does not deserve any of the awards he got. He and IDGF are corrupted assholes like the rest of the sjw crowd and gaming journalists.
He's one of those assholes who pretends that he can't be broken by bullies and then goes out of his way to antagonise them because he wants to feel superior when he "wins" when they get bored and call him a faggot and leave him alone.
Then he got famous enough through his shitty game to do that to the entire internet and he realised that there were too many people calling him out on his shit for his usual tactics to work on, so he broke. Phil Fish brought most of the shit on himself, and by the time he tried to stop bringing the shit on himself, the rest of the internet knew how much of a cock he was so they piled in anyway and he ran off crying instead of just apologising or doing any one of the hundreds of things at any stage in his entire episode that would've calmed things down.
I don't think he deserves all the ANYTHING, to be honest. You know David Bowie dying really put a lot of shitty e-celebs into perspective for me. Why the fuck should any of us care about some whiny little brat hipster with one shitty video game when we've had truly talented people like Bowie walking the Earth and creating?
TB carries on doing his job while dying of cancer because he knows that his fans (whether you personally like him or not, you can acknowledge that he has a sizeable fanbase that does like him) want to see him do his stuff.
Phil Fish told his fans to fuck off and cancelled a much looked forward to sequel because he got mad on twitter.
Honestly, I always found that kinda funny.
People got furious at him for saying shit that people on /v/ say every few seconds.
>Jap games are shit
>PC gaming is shit
>Suck my dick.
>I'm very proud Japanese
>Could you prease tell me what recent japanese games you were inspired by?
>JAPANESE GAMES SUCK
>YEAH JAPANESE GAMES SUCK
>JAPANESE GAMES ARE JOYLESS HUSKS
>Never actually answered the question
What? Isn't this guy one of the [triggered] types of people?
>made one game by stealing assets and backstabbing people
>thinks of himself as a god
I don't even have words for this kind of fuckery.
He was planning the same scheme as FEZ, for FEZ II, and people found out.
Because /v/ thinks they can treat creative geniuses like dirt because they happen to put a price tag on their art.
No we are no retail employees you can push around and treat like peasants because they fear losing their jobs if they were to speak up.
>birthplace of electronic games
>japanese question in more goodwill
>group of indie developers laugh at the question
>where are these brilliant minds laughing now?
very tolerant. that uncultured japanese subhuman must have appreciate them for it. at least he physically got rekt or killed by those cultured educated 1st world westerners.
