What's everyone's "go to" game? That game you can fall back on if nothing else seems interesting. Or the game that you can play almost daily and still enjoy it.
I started back into CS:GO but I'm looking for something else. Maybe a good MMO or something I can just waste time in.
For years TF2 was my Friday night time killer. I'd go on my regular servers, with the other regulars and just chat and have fun. None of us took the game seriously, it was just fun to mess around.
I also had Planetside, CS:S, Tribes (not ascend) and WoW as go-to games at separate times.
I always turn to whatever fighting game I can find matches for. Right now its either GGxrd or USFIV.
As for offline games I can always enjoy any Stalker game, and any "Churazzy" games like DMC or almost anything by Platinum Games.
Its been CS:GO for me too for a year or so.
Other than that, I'll always have:
>Gothic and Gothic 2: Notr
>Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader
And if I just want to fall asleep I can play Euro Truck Simulator
Also looking for a good MMO, same as you.
If i'm bored i go in and play a game of dustbowl
mmm..Red if i want to mess around
blue if i'm feeling aggressive
Smash Bros or
League of Legends
Probably any mario
and probably lot more
>tfw there are literal 11 y/o kids that call Terraria a shitty minecraft or just go on the internet praising minecraft as the best game ever terrible times to be alive
Dark souls. No matter my mood i can always pick it up and have a good time and spend a few hours with a new character with the exact same fucking longsword and stats. Then i stop after ornstein and smough and begin anew.
Before you read that and think I'm a filthy fucking casual just know that it
reminds me of all the great times I used to have playing WC3 before Dota bots fucking ruined the onlineIt's like a cruel punishment that it is the only thing that remains.
Bf4 is a lot of fun even after dumping 900 hours.
Metal Gear Solid 1, 3, or 5. Also Smash Bros Melee or 4. My guilty pleasure game is F Zero X, it's just so damn smooth and addictive. It also has one of the best soundtracks of any game in my opinion.
Team Fortress 2.
Or Any Yakuza game that isnt Dead Souls
Hell, even any Build Engine game will do.
KOTOR I. There's just something about it that speaks to me, I guess.
I started KOTOR II recently, and it just doesn't feel the same. Every time I make any progress, I just play KOTOR I again even though I've done everything millions of times.
I have around 1000 hours on it on Steam and I still go back to it every month or two.
Heart Gold mostly.
Mario Kart is also a good fallback, 7 and 8 are pretty good to just play for an hour depending on the situation.
Also, Mario Maker has been a pretty great way to just kill some time. It only needs the second screen so I can watch something while creating levels.
Monster Hunter is always there.
When I have nothing to play I can always pick up a handheld and grab an unfamiliar weapon and oh look there's 50+ hours gone. It never fails to totally engross me.
I've had different ones across the years (an older example that comes to mind is Cave Story, but for some reason once I actually sat down and beat Ballos for the first time that "go-to" feeling disappeared from it and I've played it maybe once since.) but I think lately it's mostly been 100% Orange Juice.
I play through Sonic 3 Complete sometimes just when I'm bored
It's fun but at the same time the playthroughs always fall apart near the end since I get too stressed about finding all the hyper emeralds before running out of levels and that's only amplified by how bad I am at doing some of the blue sphere stages at the end.
Animal Crossing New leaf or maybe the one for gamecube on emulator
Any of the Smash Bros. games. It's the reason why I wanted a Gamecube and got a Wii, Wii U, and 3DS.
