>>323718350 >put out two siege units and use Siegemaster Foltest on first round >if they pass then beat them in the second round with your advantage >if they attempt to beat your score in the first round, they won't have enough cards for the other rounds
That's how it is against earlier merchants
Once you get a decent amount of hero units it gets pretty easy
>>323718147 he fell in love with a whore. big mistake there then he didn't throw her out also a big mistake there would have been plenty of women willing to suck his balls, but no, it had to be the bitch or nothing
>>323718692 >play against some dude with a monster deck >use my shitty cards on the first round >he uses half his deck because all his cards have the ability to summon all other cards with the same name >destroy him in round 2 and 3
>get the swamp crones >bitch starts talking to the painting >niggerthisisgettingtoodeep >the children's caretaker is the baron's wife Fuck I don't know if I was expected to just guess she was his wife but she just looked way too fucking old for the guy.
>>323728429 >savagely beats his wife >he wasn't evil I mean yeah, hitler wasn't a bad guy. sure, he murdered muh 6 million jews oy vey shalom, but he didnt throw dog shit at people and trip old ladies so he prolly was a good guy at heart
>>323728704 But isn't it great that he's a character who beat the fuck out of his wife and the game allows you to do the typical white knight response but also lets you hear him out? There's more to him than being a mean drunk and his wife is just as shitty in a lot of respects, if not worse. And he pays for the bad shit be brought on himself in a lot of ways, so it's not like they're condoning his actions either. There's more nuance to that character than you'd ever expect.
Fuck man, stop reminding me how I can't play Witcher. I have about 40 hours in it, and over time I was getting this freezing issue, where the game itself would stop, the music would still play, and then the game would resume. At first it only happened maybe once every hour, but the more I played, the more frequent it got, and now I'm in Novigraad and it's every 5 minutes. I tried looking up solutions, and can't find shit. All the fixes people posted, putting FPS to unlimited, detaching second monitor, changing it from borderless windowed to fullscreen, turning off VSync, didn't work. Underclocking my video card works, but then my frame rate turns to shit, and goes frequently under 20FPS.
I loved Witcher 1/2, and fucking loved what I played of 3 so far, so it's breaking my fucking heart I can't get this to work.
>>323729079 >his wife is just as shitty in a lot of respects, if not worse nope. >everything else you said Sure, I agree, they handle his character well. I didn't speak to anything but him being an evil man, which he is. >>323729203 >having a relationship with someone that isn't (you) means you should be beaten senseless yeah fuck all those whores and bitches who wont fuck me and dont see me for the real nice guy like mohimehimesamechan does and she lets me tie her up in bondage and lick her sweat on poop on her. those other bitches fucking whores should die! well said my friend
>>323729659 As I recall, if you get the bad dad ending, she goes back to the swamp. Geralt goes after her, kills her, and then mourns with the medallion in a hut while hundreds of monsters come to end him.
He's bad, but he's not evil? If he had never killed anyone, maybe I could see that line of reasoning, but if he's a bad person and a murderer and arsonist, it's kind of hard to argue he's not fucking evil.
>>323730351 yeah I agree man. on an unrelated note i'm gonna go ahead and have to cut off two of your hands and a leg for all those games you've stolen. washing away the crimes, and all. >>323730516 how can I be a [group of people that is looked down on by most members of this community] if you're actually [group of people that is looked down on by most people in the world]?
>>323730560 If he cared he'd have realise that her cheating meant that the relationship was over. He doesn't care about them, he cares about himself. He gets to tell himself he's not all that bad if he can use his family as justification for the things he does and all he does is hunt excuses.
>>323731431 Because they're his vessel for coping with himself. It's not about them, it's about him. Without them he has nothing to fall back on, no way to justify his acts, and everything he's done "for them" well it can't exactly be for them any more.
>>323729553 >That isn't a new or interesting character idea, it's old hat. And he's still a cunt for just going "but I want this!" and trying to bend everyone to his desires. wow. brilliant deduction. here's another hint: everyone is trying to look out for #1. if that was the requirement for evil, you might as well have killed the whole family and everyone else in the fucking game
>>323730216 where, then, do you draw the line of good? someone who helps out the poor? or fights for what they feel is right? someone who always agrees with you? taking revenge after being betrayed to balance out the karmatic scale?
>>323718147 I mean, i know you're just doing that shit post thing, but he actually was portrayed very ambiguously, it was completely up to you to decide if he was a shit head or not. They wrote him brilliantly.
>>323729678 >go off to war to fight for honor and family >come home to cheating wife >deal with loss the same way as most and turn to drinking and food >become a fat fuck and realize no one will ever care about you, but you still care about them >drink more >in a drunken rage kill your wife's lover >no one comes after you and you realize you're one of the baddest motherfuckers around >take advantage of this to at least try and make some good life for the family you feel like you fucked up >wife still hates you and wants to keep daughter away from you even though thinking of her was the only thing that kept you going through the whole war, the idea of coming back to her >frustrated and emotionally unstable, so you beat your wife in another drunken rage >they leave and you know it's all your fault
The Baron was by no means a good guy, but he entered the moral grey area of being a character that is relateable. He shouldn't have acted out the way he did, but I guarantee that a lot of us would under that stress, and that's the point they get across. Men are not created, men are made. Some of his wife's shitty actions helped create his shitty streak, and they both paid one of the dearest prices. It also shows that their daughter is the exact same degree of fucked up and will probably pay in the same way in her future.
>>323732307 Yeah but that is probably more of a traumatic result of the war. In times like those your family can be your one tether to the world. You can't get mad at a guy who had a mental instability from a world he can't control. And don't tell me he could desert when we see full well multiple times what happened to deserters. There's no way his family could have lived like that.
>>323733576 Yeah but they make sure to show you that she was kind of a cunt, who both cheated on him and then egged him on UNTIL he finally did hit her. Pretty much they were both pieces of shit and their daughter was the only good they did...and in the end the parents even used or tried to use her against each other. Its like a parable of modern divorces. Just one broken family
>>323736518 >allowing an evil inter-dimensional demon to continuing preying on souls some witcher >Olgierd was kind of a piece of shit. Because of what Gaunter did to him, he wasn't a saint by any means but he wanted to make up for his mistakes. An easy way out sure by making a deal with a demon but still
>trekking through Velen >see these bandits who are about to hang a Nilfgaardian >the bandits hate Nilfgaardians but the soldier deserted >decide to stay out of it >check the hanged man's corpse >there's a letter >read it >it's from his wife
While I loved Hearts of Stone, I don't really understand why Olgerid's Heart actually turned to stone. Was it the price he had to pay for his wishes (the curse itself)? Or was it because he had his brother killed? Or just a culmination of everything?
>>323743568 It had more to do with him being married to a woman that had family ties to the King of Spain, who was not only a nice provider of gifts to the Catholic Church, but had used the threat of force if they didn't play ball. Henry VIII had no choice to make a new church, because he was stuck in a shitty game of politics.
>>323743158 I thought it was as a result of his wish, directly. But I also feel like it being indirectly, because he knew he would live forever and had pretty much everything he thought he wanted, might be more in character of O'Dimm.
