I'm playing SotFS for the first time, without ever playing vanilla DaSII. So far, there's nothing that's made me question the enemy placements. Except for the fact that they put endless exploding mummies in every level that they couldn't figure out a decent challenging mob for

PLUS THEY ALL HAVE FORWARD-ADVANCING MULTI-HIT COMBOS THAT STUNLOCK YOU AND CAN TAKE OUT YOUR ENTIRE HEALTH BAR
THEY CAN ALSO RECOVER FROM A HIT AND THEN ATTACK FASTER THAN YOU CAN SWING CONSECUTIVELY, INTERRUPTING ANY CHANCE YOU HAVE AT DELIVERING MORE THAN ONE HIT IN A ROW UNLESS YOU CIRCLE STRAFE BEHIND THEM SINCE THEY TURN SLOW AS FUCK
RANGED ATTACKERS EVERYWHERE, TOO YOU DON'T HAVE ANY ACTUAL EFFECTIVE RANGED OPTIONS, BY THE WAY, THE GUNS ARE JUST FOR SHOW AND THE UNRELIABLE "PARRY" THAT'S A WASTE TO USE ON MINOR ENEMIES, INCONSISTENT ON BOSSES, AND SPAMMED BY EVERYONE IN PVP IN THE HOPES THEY GET LUCKY

People still claim picking enemies off with a bow or pulling them into a bottleneck and then baiting attack - stepping back - stabbing ad infinitum like a true homosexual is advanced thinking Yeah, maybe, but it's not fun. So fuck you.
Or maybe you overleveled like the pussy you are and then shitpost here saying it was easy as fuck.
It was a decent game but nowhere near as memorable as Dark Souls 1.
Sure, DaS1 had some bullshit deaths too, but at least you didn't get fucking stunlocked by 5-hit combos that track.
Melee, the playstyle the game is designed around, is the worst way to play it. If DaS1 was "Block, the Game", DaS2 is "Block until enemy does that one shitty attack, giving you an opening"
>>323673718 Those guys are the worst because it's a straight DPS race. If you're not using the best gear for any reason it's the most difficult fight in the whole game. One of the things I hated most about DS1 is that your gear makes such a huge difference. Especially poise, with enough poise you can just drink through bosses wailing on you and come out with more HP than you started with.

Legitimately get good at the game. Crying about dying for getting stunlocked by a horde is pathetic, you deserve it, it was your fault.
I think people forget about how fucking annoying Dark Souls 1 was.
The first half of Dark Souls 1 was amazing, with beautiful levels and fun environments (mainly). But as soon as you beat Ornstien and smough, you have to go through 4 new areas, ALL of which are complete fucking shit.
>Seeth library and crystal caves are an annoying fucking maze with enemies attacking you from afar and slipperly invisible walkways which enemies shove you off, and of course an (almost) unavoidable death because fuck you.
>Catacombs are full of annoying fucking respawning enemies unless you use a specific type of weapon, which is annoying as shit, and an area that's fucking dark as shit and filled with skeleton dogs and bonewheelskeletons, a piss easy boss, and then both annoying boss that makes you take damage just to enter the room. Also, bonewheel skeletons.
>New londo is FUCKING ANNOYING with fucking ghosts that attack through walls and can't be damaged without using items/certain weapons. Also there's like 2 fucking hundered of them because fuck you. Here, have a DPS battle where depth perception fucking sucks, and takes away one of your ring slots.
>Lost izalith. Fucking really? You're going to make lose a ring slot, and give me shit tons of lag, and made the boss far away with only one hidden bonfire, AND make an absolutely shit RNG boss that can't be beaten by any sort of fair means, and even if it could it would still be shit?
It's amazing. Literally every fucking area was complete garbage.
Of course, that's like my opinion man, I'm sure lots of people enjoy them, but I honestly hated the second half of the game.

The catacombs area was pretty neat and having to slam down the necromancers was a stressful but cool mechanic. New Londo can go fuck itself, Lost Izalith can go fuck itself twice
