It also offered an extreme high skill ceiling, holy fuck sniping in the was the best shit ever. All these jumps I was training everyday, just to fail them in the heat of the battle.

Touchdown is just such a good game mode. The dynamics and the different ways you can go on different maps just make it so great, especially with all the powers you can get.

The weapons were great as well, especially since there really wasn't any overpowered ones aside from the Counter Sword's giant punch that sent people flying on any map with pits. I always went with the Semi Rifle, the one that heals people at close range, and whatever random weapon I'd get from a lottery.

That game was really fun. It shocked me when I came back to it ages ago and it was shut down. Had some comfy ass city maps. I remember one that had a nice underground/subway section. And another map that was just a pretty big city at night.

Back in the day, you could pay like 4 times the amount of a temporary weapon to get it permanent or something like that, though you'd have to pay a bit to get it repaired after every few matches. I think generally unless you always wanted to have a specific weapon on hand, or if you had some good bonuses, it was cheaper to just roll with the temporary ones since they didn't need repairing.

Daggers made people so mad because of how easy it was to kill with them. All that stab spam.

My favorite weapon was the Exo-Scythe. Because of the glitch that lets you chain 4 high jumps together. You can get to insanely high spots in the maps on sword only mode. Also made an unreal comeback in chaser mode with it. Half a second way from the pit I chained those high jumps and made it back to the arena. Killed everyone afterwards. That shit is patched now though. Was too hard for plebs to learn and gave good players an extreme advantage in some maps.
