What are some companies that take a gargantuan shit on their former employees?
Did something happen to David Bowie or why do I see him so often today?
Inafune was the head of Capcom's vidya R&D when this was made. It was probably his idea
Mega Man fans are the biggest babies ever, it's like they literally go through life looking for stuff to be mad about
Well then you're a fucking idiot because doggy dog world makes no fucking sense.
>Go from a multinational corporation that has a loyal support base because of hugely successful and influential franchises overseas
>Completely stop giving a shit and make and endless stream of complete garbage while wasting the huge amount of talent that they were paying to do nothing of value.
>Regardless of the delays from Kojima, MGSV is set to be the biggest launch the company had seen since Kojima's last console game.
>The reveal of PT and Silent Hills was so massive and had so many huge names tied to it that it was guaranteed to be a massive worldwide hit and reboot one of Konami's biggest franchises.
>Attempt sweep one of the biggest names in the entire industry under the rug while dismantling and wasting the fruits of their labors (FOX engine) for the better half of a decade that was set to jump start a new era of the company in favor of a safe moderate revenue stream.
Yeah, no. You're just an edgy faggot.
>Any Japanese company
This. When Square Enix became sick of Nintendo's ridiculous demands/limitations on hardware, they started making Final Fantasy 7 on the PS1. As a result, the president of Nintendo denounced JRPGs as a whole.
They have terrible PR, gutted their company for gambling while giving the finger to old supporters, have infamously terrible working conditions, and making such a bold business switch at such a bad time could lead them into ruin.
The people at the top must be tired of themselves.
Midge Ure is better
>using the death of of a legend and the name of an exiled ex-employee for clicks and retweets
They'll announce a David Bowie pachinko machine by the end of the year. They'll claim it's a tribute to both Bowie and Kojima, even going as far as to say that they're deeply saddened Kojima is no longer able to work with them.
Calling it right now.
>The world needs the weird, creative & bold
But not Konami.
manlets will never learn
M A N L E T P R I D E
W O R L D W I D E
>Business is a doggy dog world
The entire world is "doggy dog", my friend
>an incredibly SHORT amount of time
rip in peace david bowie, you died a hero
You're right on some points but they are not "switching" anything and there's nothing bold or risky about the move they are making. Konami is already in gambling and other ventures, and already makes the majority of their revenue from divisions outside video games.
They're just choosing to stop focusing on this one area altogether which is a significant, but not majority portion of their revenue. It sucks for people who were fans of their games but it's not the suicidal lunacy that people seem to want it to be.
not to mention that they've barely made any console games in the past few years. Most of the vidya division's money comes from mobile stuff, which they outright said they would continue to focus on. Very little has actually changed but /v/ only noticed when it started to affect Kojima.
Just think of Capcom and Inafune and how they cancelled several games he was working on even though they were 99% finished, solely to spite him. Then they made attempts to make fun of and shit on Mega Man more as even more of a "fuck you" to him. The Japanese are very petty in business.
>doggy dog world
Ricky? Is that you?
The difference is while Tim Schafer blew millions of dollars on cult classics that didn't make much money, Kojima blew millions of dollars on huge successes for the company. Every Metal Gear before 5 was successful.
Developer called Tale of Tales had a massive twitter meltdown. They developed The Path and Sunset.
The meltdown came after Sunset was a huge commercial failure. Apparently they blame capitalism, so I guess they think game development should be state-funded.
>mfw I only knew of David Bowie's existence when browsing the Resident Evil wiki looking at the trivia section of Leon Kennedy's biography wiki page.
This was back when RE4 had recently released on gamecube.
JUST IGNORE THEM YOU SAID
THEY'LL GO AWAY IF YOU DON'T GIVE THEM ATTENTION YOU SAID
>Peace Walker was shit
That sounds like some Square Enix thing. MGSV sold over 5 million in the first month or two. It outsold MGS4 after a year in the span of two or three months while costing maybe 15% more to make.
I think they're actually angry that it sold so well - they would have preferred slightly disappointing but still profitable sales numbers. Konami is burning all their bridges to force a permanent focus on gambling and non-vidya, and their biggest game flopping would have justified the decision.
he posted in a thread saying he was surprised he was a meme
then he posted his butt
>completely shitting and disrespecting their IP's and talented devs
>firing the man who still made them relevant and a shit ton of cash
Who cares if MGSV was 50 million?
The money that single game made surpassed any development costs.
Konami should had gambled more.
Instead they lost an opportunity to make even more money with the MGS franchise and Silent Hill.
Mobile games/gambling business aren't going to make any money for Konami because that market is flooded with other products that are more mainstream than anything Konami can poop out.
It actually worries me that people believe this. The image of MGS V doesn't help either.
>I catch on to anon's ruse, giggle a bit.
>Pre Madonna oh lawdy.
>Hold down the fort while i'm away.
....>oh god I thought that one was legit.
>Oh god I'm retarded.
David Bowie's singles were great, but his albums were weak.
He wasn't even that weird considering the music at the time he started in.
Still, rest in peace, but holy fuck stop pretending like he changed music
....wtf is wrong with people? I hope I never become successful enough that when I die idiots will use my intellectual property to claim whatever opinion they want on me.
Dear god this is the world today.
Why is everyone pretending to care about David Bowie now that he's dead? I only hear about the man one time every few years. Now all the normalfags on their social media are talking about what a travesty this is.
>KRS-One, a revered legend of Hip-Hop, professed libertarian views by citing GOP puppet Alex Jones in 2009 and with anti-Obama and anti-government lyrics.
There's no way this person isn't from /pol/.
Is cool I knew of David Bowie but he didn't hit me hard as anyone else.
When Michael Jackson died I actually felt it pretty bad. The only time a singer's death really hit me hard.
I suppose but I just feel there were people making better at the time and explored more experimental routes with much better success
I know it's a meme, but In the Court of the Crimson King comes to mind
It's time to accept the feels, anon.
The final david bowie video.
