Finally beat this asshole without a meme Ares 90.
Xenoblade thread too, I guess.
I managed to beat Leva'el earlier today.
Also beat Pharsis and Gradivus yesterday.
I think the only superboss I'm missing is Nardacyon, who is a bitch to kill.
>mem Ares 90
Stop this right now, newfag. Calling the best armor and weapons in a game a ' meme ' is fucking retarded.
>Finally...without Ares 90
Vortice, The Deific Blast is too fucking strong for the Ares you little shit anyway. The best way to kill him IS without the Ares 90, in a lvl 60 Mastema equipped with a ranged superweapon.
ares 90 isn't the best skell, it's just easy to get and does really well for the amount of "effort" you have to put into it.
every other level 50 skell can overpower ares 90 with the right setup.
>Calling the best armor and weapons in a game a ' meme ' is fucking retarded.
It's not the best, it gets outperformed by any other lvl60 frame once they're maxed out, but it's 10 times the work.
Fuck I accidentally bought a random skell I don't even have the levels for when I hit confirm instead of cancel.
Well, there's 200,000 credits I'll never see again. I hope its a good skell at least.
The only problems I had with the OST as a whole was during cutscenes (NLA day music is getting old too) and the fact you can't switch off Skell flight music back to the music from the area you're in. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have lyrical music playing in the background and make it audibly louder than the characters conversation needs to be shot. Your immersion is ruined in an already barebones story and plot.
I love this game and a lot of what it does, but it really is "dropped the ball here" the game.
I just got the game and played for a bit.
Does the combat get better at all? It really doesn't feel fun, and usually all I end up doing is standing around waiting for arts to charge up and rotating left around a monster. I want to like this game but this combat is just so awful and convoluted to me.
If you're just using arts the moment it becomes active all the time, you're definitely playing it wrong. It shows you're ignoring the benefits of secondary cooldown.
At least give us an indication where you are in the game.
I'm not the most knowledgeable about this series, but from what I've seen the aliens that have a beef with them are easily identifiable when compared to the others. The new aliens they find really have done nothing to antagonize anyone, but for some reason a lot of the humans want to take them out back and shoot them for the lols. It's really silly.
I'm only like 8 hours in, just became a full-time blade and just started doing missions on the field, so I suppose maybe it's because it's just starting out.
To be honest the ranting is mostly due to frustration at not knowing what the hell I'm doing, straining my eyes to read the text in this game, and the fact that the combat isn't as enjoyable as I hoped it'd be. I'm still going at it and I'll keep giving it a shot, but maybe this game just isn't for me.
I can't promise it's going to get better for you, and skell combat prob won't be your thing. But overdrive essentially becomes a rhythm game at a certain point joining greens to greens and blues and yellows and melee chains etc. I have fun with it
It's because the ones who DO want to do that are paranoid as fuck. As one anon said, A bunch of Xenos blew up their planet, so their (Justifiably) on edge. Now does that make their actions right? Not at all. But does it make them understandable? Yes. Though it's fucking retarded to find that Alex killed some Nopon too as those guys are 100% harmless.
I've played this game for over 30 hours and yet I still barely understand how the battle system works or what to do about an end game "build". I also seem to be stuck auto-attacking half the time because my cool downs take forever to finish
This is easily one of the best augments you can have for your ranged weapons during the course of the game and I would consider investing in this first if you have an abundance of reward tickets. This greatly benefits Assault Rifle/Gatling Gun users.
White Cometite can be farmed from Frontiernav.
>Why on earth would you say that?
>Why on earth
Shut the fuck up Elma
With the whole Alex thing? Well he DID say that there were others who shared his sentiments and if you go talk to some random people around NLA, they feel the same though many not as extremely as he does.
Well, I can't beat that. Tatsu is a pain in the ass and the Nopon in general are a bit of a pain. They were much better in Chronicles than they are in X
>Well, I can't beat that. Tatsu is a pain in the ass and the Nopon in general are a bit of a pain. They were much better in Chronicles than they are in X
Thing is, I actually like the Nopon. All of them but Tatsu. He's the black sheep of their race.
Yeah. The whole thing is dubm. She makes up some imaginary god to start a cult. She she poisons the drinking water making the Mamon sick, but drinking her holy water cures them? What was the whole point of all this?
>you will never get to shower her your affection
The aht should say New L.A. instead of America
He tried killing ma'non though, not nopon
Nopon are annoying, and ma'non do hav chipmunk voices, Orphes and Garbage men are great though
Yes. A human woman is trying to make tons of money off a cult by poisoning the water supply in a way that only affects Ma-non. As a result, Ma-non get very sick and nothing cures them. They go to the church for a miracle (some "holy" water) and are instantly healed. Due to this miracle, the Ma-non join the cult and the human chick gets more money/power etc.
There are several quests involving it culminating in her running away to Cauldros, revealing her "god" is just a disguised Definian and you kill everyone. The whole time, there is a Doctor Ma-non who is extremely skeptical of this "god" and flaunts that and his "logic" in everyone's faces while pretending it's just because he cares about his patients. He never lets go of trying to prove he's right and won't let anyone forget, either.
I can understand that I guess. I suppose my dislike stems from how many Nopon expect a free ride in NLA, while thinking they can con everyone out of money. This could possibly change after they stick around for a while. Tatsu suffers from being a joke character done in a way that I've noticed a lot in Japanese games.
What I mean is that there's just one joke tied to him (In this case Lin joking to eat him) while he also speaks and makes a joke at the worst possible time. My dislike for Tatsu was cemented in chapter 6, when they made him do the dumbest shit ever, all for the sake of giving us enemies to fight.
Oh yeah I definitely remember that one. I didn't mind it, because it was something I expected to happen the second that it was revealed there was a cathedral in NLA. Now the one mission that REALLY hit me hard was Hope's second affinity mission I think it was.
You only recruit Ma'non, but you see 3 or 4 Nopon at the meeting place who travel with Alex and the Ma'non after you finish gathering them. You see a couple of them at the cliff section too laying down by the Ma'non who are about to be shot at.
What makes it worse is that after you get away NO ONE chews Tatsu out. It's really strange why we have to take Tatsu everywhere when he literally adds nothing of value to the party. He'd be better as a NPC who just hangs around the barracks.
It's only for the picture, and the guy said it covers the least back space.
Even Rikki had redeeming cutscenes on the fallen arm and in the aorta, Tatsu has nothing.
Can anybody remember the shit you need for the sparking a smile mission in Cauldros.
There's one item left I need to collect, but can't remember what it is, so can't search where to find it
oh ok, so it literally is the same messages being recycled, glad I decided to hide them
the only reason I connect to online anymore is so I don't get the stupid watermark at the top left
Does anyone know if you can get a scarf in this game?
now get to those achiements autist. Also don't forget all the drops.
Also I hope you never fast traveled anon, because there is a secret unlockable the japanese know about. It's the whole reason why we have a follow ball.
Anyone know how the fuck to do Elma's second heart-to-heart? I know where it is, she's not in my active party, etc. etc. but she never shows up. Something to do with that "Pet: Cat" requirement?
Already on it, but for that thing about fast travel I don't know how true it is, maybe I will try it after I look at every corner of Mira. I'm totally not done with this game yet
>you have to have a cat in your barracks so that she can be petting a cat in the city
out of 500,000 owners of XCX, surely, there is atleast 1 person who has never used fast travel to verify if there really is a secret unlockable or not.
I remember in an interview with Iwata that Monolth actually discouraged people to use fast travel as it defeats the whole point of the game being open world.
>defeats the whole point of the game being open world.
having missions that ask you to talk to shit literally from the noctilum to oblivia defeats the "walking is good guys" argument.
Because being able to explore open areas and find hidden stuff is still fun without drudging through the same familiar open fields every single time you need to turn a quest in
Doubly so in a game where you are limited to only having one "story" quest active at a time and which frequently involve going back and forth to places across continents
I did it almost a month ago on the 14th with a meme ares 90 and a meme ares 70
There are some missions where you can get a pet for customizing your barracks. For the cat, just finish an affinity mission named Nine Lives, you can get it on the commercial district.
i am quite far in the game, but i feel my overdrive game lacks technique. i mean i can do moderate damage with it (around 80-100k per overdrive) but based on what i saw before this number is quite low.
while i am not interested on how to create a meme build i would like to know better how can i improve my overdrive game.
i read somewhere that using a green and purple art helps increasing the counter, but there are ways to increase the time? its because of the failed soul voices?
any help would be appreciated, even if its directing me to a specific part in the manual to check, i have read it before, buy maybe i went over that part.
I mean...maybe? But you don't get them till level 30 and wouldn't that possibly be quite the waste of fuel? Lets assume you're going straight from NLA all the way up to the edge of Cauldros.
I think the combat is actually pretty great and a genuine step up from the previous game, but I agree that without an interesting story or characters to contextualize that I just have trouble finding the will to play on.
Strangely despite Mira feels way less alien and interesting to explore than the Bionis despite being a literal alien planet with a focus on exploration
So how the fuck do you set up your storage probes to be able to hold 100k Miranium to buy the Ares 90? I set mine up in a long combo from Primordia to Oblivia with duplicator and booster probe combos all the way and still can't manage to get over 85k storage.
I haven't tried this myself, I have 8 storage probes currently but I dont think I have enough duplicators and boosters to pull this off
>need to get 20 million G in Xenosaga II to get rid of Captain Matthews' debt and clear one of the Global Samaritan quests
>enemies don't drop money so you're required to farm a crazy amount of endgame drops and sell them
>the reward is shit
>everyone's ultimate weapon in Xenosaga III is reasonable enough
>except for Ziggy's which requires to farm 99 units of the drop from the final overworld enemy in the game, encountered literally one screen before the final boss
>it takes half an hour to backtrack to the Elsa and turn them in afterwards
Flight module fuel cost is very minor. I could go back and forth easy multiple times from NLA to Cauldros. It's not impossible. I'm surprised no one data mined XCX yet. The guides we have are based on trail and error.
jokes on you I don't even have one.
or a Wii U. Did you read my post? I said calling " the best armor and weapons *in a game* " a meme is fucking retarded.
Like how people have been saying Ultimeme weapon, or Ludwig's holymeme. It's cancer, and these kids are cancer.
Point still stands, if you refer to weapons, armor, skills, anything in any game, as a " memeweapon lelzorz " you need to fuck off.
But Ares 90 isn't the best anything.
A proper Zennith cannon shits all over the Ares' superweapon.
Use multihitting arts to increase the counter. Craft Arts:Gain TP augments to build tp, when you get 3000 tp in overdrive and your running out of time just activate again to keep it going
was playing really late at night and didn't want to wake up my buddy, but I encountered this guy thinking the volume was pretty low.
Suddenly loud Claps and Honks, I fucking lost it!
It happens randomly (with your potency increased the chance) whenever you use an art, and resets all your cooldowns when it happens
It's the basis of most lategame strategies of just strapping a bunch of low cooldowns arts and a superweapon on your skell and using overdrive + cockpit mode to spam arts forever
Cockpit view is a random trigger that's linked to your Skell's Potential stat (the higher your Potential, the more chance you have to trigger cockpit view)
Entering cockpit view instantly fills all your cooldowns AND you're entirely invulnerable for the duration of the cockpit view. Cockpit view is especially useful for instantly reusing your long-cooldown, powerful attacks.
I love this game.
270 hours in, have already gotten 100% of the map, and I still want to keep playing.
>All you hear is german
the vocalist is legitimately really bad on that song
I remember the very first time in NLA when you go on the test run really quick to that floating island right outside the city and all you hear pretty much is the DnB part I was fucking crying from how awesome it was, but then I got to actually fly around more and it just sounds terrible. the vocalist is clearly trying to sing below her comfortable range and it sounds really bad
Literally WHERE THE FUCK is the entrance to the G'nahan Villa?
I have to do the Fortun quest and I assume I have to get in that building somewhere but I can't get in?
Homs are the race Humanity created to replicate them after Human extinction
>X is a prequel to Chronicles
>sequel years later
>humans finally won
>re population is in progress
>before the last mimeosomes go offline they take a tour on the new planet
lead scientists Zanza and Meyneth
Why are rayguns shit?
worst tp gain
aggro's practically everything
strongest arts need to be used in aura +1000TP
strongest arts are TP based + another 1000TP
Not even the strongest ranged art.
Dual Guns for cheesing
Sniper for damage
Gattling Gun for overdrive count and TP
Assault for support
Psycho launcher for sponging via astral projection
What the fuck is raygun useful for?
Going from how the rest of the quests work, I was expecting the Prone to retaliate by killing everyone in the Nopon Caravan if I did that. This >>323594261 made it ridiculously easy anyway.
I just beat the game
So uh, what was the point of the main character?
You have literally no plot significance what-so-ever.
>worst tp gain
That's a job suited towards the arts coming from melee weapons. Knife totally sucks at TP gaining though.
>aggro's practically everything
You mean destroys practically everything
>strongest arts need to be used in aura +1000TP
Like I gift a shit with essence exchange
>Not even the strongest ranged art
Can't comment on this. I haven't tried investing in to ranged arts from other ranged weapons. I'm content with the damage I get from master gunner + Beam Barrage + Beam bomber + Ether blast combos.
Also I'm not sure about the utility about of other guns but ray guns seems to have more topple consistency than the rest of them.
Kiweggs are easy. Now those horrible quests asking for yellow shit in cave in Primordia, that's the sweet pleasure of hell.
Also looting those giant elk horns in Noctilum. they ask for only 2, you think it's easy, but by the time to notice it's too late.
that's the fucking point
this game is about you being some nobody. Every jrpg sinc ethe dawn of time was about special boy is chosen one and kills god. This game is designed to go against that ideal.
the story was gutted halfway through the dev cycle and the main character was removed in favor of a created avatar so that they could shoehorn in the utterly pointless online shit
Shit I forgot that Gravity topple art.
Afterburner is the strongest TP ranged art. 900% hit scaling, 5 hits. Only thing better is the one that gets stronger with more debuffs like Say Sorry.
Skell combat a shit.
I wish the game focused entirely on ground combat and balanced Overdrive and Decoy a bit, that shit is fun as hell. Tried Photon Sabers, Longswords and Dual Swords, they're all fun.
Game literally forces you into a Skell for stuff like Telethia, though. And fighting anything that can hover or move a lot with a melee weapon is a headache, but I don't mind, that's a fine drawback for melee.
>being some nobody
Except for, y'know, being the top BLADE operative, the only one in history to achieve BLADE rank 10, the one who stops Luxaar, the one who is responsible for surveying the entirety of Mira, etc
Not to mention how you're such an anomaly and no one remembers you, even though they should from the White Whale.
You're still "the chosen one" you retard
You're only one of the three people on the TOP BLADE team that Nagi even complains he can't get anything done with other teams.
Not to mention most non-story missions are "The Wacky Adventures of Cross"
That's literally what they said. You can try and be in denial as much as you want, but that's what happened.
They even showed the old MC and explained that 50% through development the story went through massive rework. That's also why Celica and Rock are insignificant as fuck even though they don't look like pointless characters at all, they had a much bigger focus before the story got gutted.
Yeah that's what people think at first, but that's the opposite of the truth.
You go light skell and push up evasion, hit 500+ evasion and you're in another fucking reality that nothing can touch.
If you're going to stick party members in Skells the ONLY thing that matters is if they have the Synchrony skill. That's Doug, Yelv and Alexa. Skell ground gear and soul voices also matter, but that's it, nothing else transfers. Everyone is the exact same (minus the 3 mentioned).
No, that's how you decided to read it. The original pitch is horrible and they told to stop making that shit by higher ups but needed an excuse to save face. I mean, the vilain was a fucking black katana user. Just that sound bad and worthy of being "gutted"
>Game literally forces you into a Skell for stuff like Telethia
Extremely tough to do so on foot, but not impossible.
Lin is fine when she's away from Tatsu.
Elma is fine.
Doug is fucking great, shut your whore mouth.
Irina and Gwin are shit, yeah.
L is wasted potential, it's obvious he was supposed to be more important but this game was rushed.
You forgot Lao.
Except for every previous Xeno game since Fei had a superpowered split personality due to the circumstances of his birth, everyone in Xenosaga was a special snowflake including literally having Jesus and Mary Magdalene in the party and in Xenoblade where Shulk had god inside of him.
None of those, not even sniper, can outburst a raygun at max potential. Hell I could argue I could do more damage than skell superweapons and at an obviously much faster interval(or nonstop really).
They have shit tp gain though which is their crux. But once you can get into overdrive and crank that shit up one myoptic screen shits out tp like you wouldn't believe.
Their biggest crux however is needing that fucking art from mia to be at full potential.
It's certainly something you have to MAKE work though, so you don't just tard into it being OP.
And all the previous xeno games had much better stories than XCX.
Looks like being a literal nobody isn't such a great thing after all.
Thank God they're ditching that shit in the sequel.
Luxaar motives were good for a villain.Their whole existence had literally no meaning aside from being dolls of some higher beings. It was literally the plot of the first Xenoblade but told from a different perspective
Everything about the story was a hot mess. It's Xenogears Disc 2 all over again. The game was rushed and changed directions during development multiple times.
Gameplay is still fun. Soundtrack is hit or miss, definitely lower overall quality than Xenoblade but Sawano can strike gold once in a while.
L and Celica are completely wasted potential.
What annoys me the most is that both of L's affinity missions don't deal at all with him or his story, just dealing with customers and gathering items.
The whole Telethia part was cool as fuck though.
>have to do Gwin's last affinity mission for chapter 11
>Get to the end of chapter 11
>Turns out the whole affinity mission was for a single line that's used to defend
They fucking serious?
I'd forgotten about that one, probably because it was so awful.
Whose idea was it to have an affinity mission for a character that doesn't involve that character in a meaningful way? I don't remember ANY character development for Irina in that one.
Theres a similar thing in Murderess' last affinity mission. "A False Hope" is a prerequisite to it.
Its because Murderess is a suspect in some murders that have been happening in NLA, and one of the dialogue choices is to suggest that a Delfinian must be impersonating her like they did with Hope. Turns that the murderer is actually the same guy who killed Murderess' parents so if you don't pick that dialgoue option it has no effect at all on the quest
Can humans even go back to their real bodies after the ending? The machine which kept the memories of all NLA residents was destroyed in the crash, so even though they might create new human bodies, how can they transplant their personalities back?
There was literally ZERO.
The entire mission was about these two NPCs that it introduced and that was it. It feels like it was intended that Irina wouldn't be playable from the start and would have an introduction quest (you know, that's only there to introduce you to the character and that's it) but they scrapped the idea but left in the quest.
I feel like they should have aimed for all affinity missions to have at least as much development as "A Girls Wings".
The saddest thing is I have one heart of affinity with Gwin.
I am completely done with his storyline.
>muh ares 90 is easy mode
No it is not
try fighting any of the superbosses like vortice there with an ares 90, you'll get your shit kicked in.
To do well with an ares 90 you need to farm good augments. Level 60 skells with high end superweapons are almost more retardedly OP than the Ares.
So to get any decent Skells and augments, I have to farm super tough enemies for hundreds of rare drops? Am I missing something? Am I the only one who sees this as incredibly masochistic? Even if I used reward tickets, materials go for 200+ a piece, when I need like 40 of several types.
you fight the telethia global threat and break all its body parts. You then go into the battle spoils menu to trade them for tickets which you in turn spend on parts. You need medals of course which you can farm by recruiting a few lvl 60 scouts and killing joker + freinds twice I think. That'll raise their "scout level". Once the scout level is at star rank you ditch 'em and get 3 medals to use to fight telethia. It's pretty much the quickest way to get rare shit.
yeah it's legit. Besides this and her last heart to heart there is not much mention of her gay dads.
Now is it Progressive pandering or... hear me out; is it saying by the year 2057 (or whenever) gays are still an unusual occurrence and progressives should just give up. There will never be enough gays in the world for it not to be unusual.
You consider that 'progressive pandering' in a game that's about a bunch of alien species coming together and some even falling in love with each other? It was used for comedy anyway, just like Lara Nara.
Anyone seen that tyrant named Cerulean Walker or something? He's on a little island to the west of the far south coast of Sylvalum. He's a miniature version of those big purple guys at gel lake. That fucker hits like a god damn truck. He trashed all 3 of my teammates and their skells in seconds and then ended up destroying my Ares 90 as well.
Also that shadowwalker guy that summons his skell is equally ridiculous because he has massive evasion.
I haven't beaten the game yet. is the only way to get more Telethia Stem Cells by buying them?
They should have combined the the two things. The motives and the Katana user. The story we got is really below standards. It's kind of lame how we just have no bearing on anything at all.
I for one, gain 100k per tick and have 100k of storage, since i need to fuel my mechs after farming bosses for drops with superweapons, and since I put lots of aug slots on things
>say I prefer "going commando" when talking to Ma-non about underwear
>hearts appear above Elma and Lyn's heads
Developing gear and augments, plus refueling.
Ares 90 needs 100k miranium to craft, for example.
Most augments need 2k~5k miranium to craft.
Bunnysuit needs like 8k miranium per piece.
HOW IN THE FUCK DO I GET MORE AURORAN BONES FOR THAT BLADE MISSION
WHERE THE FUCK ARE THESE THINGS IN PRIMORDIA
You can use a ton of fuel when farming some monsters.
My previous setup has 75k miranium by tick and 150k storage and I often ended up without miraniun. 230k is a lot easier to manage.
>You can set up a special soul voice that triggers when a female gives you a buff
I'd work on her rear exhaust port if you know what I mean
I haven't played around with the face tatoos or gender or anything yet, but I decided to make a female version of that Adam Jensen artwork, you know the one
and I've noticed that for an actual male Adam Jensen clone, the Sakuraba heavy armwear looks closest in the Combat series instead of Reginal, but it's kind of too big
Anyone tried to do a Melia avatar build?
Is it possible?
Even more shit that needs a goddamn explanation. Takahashi better work on the damn story next time
>Tatsu blurts this out in the middle of the dramatic last scene in the game and is called out on it, has no fucking idea why he said it
>implying that's just a cute nod
I have this happen to me almost every goddamn time I play, someone help me.
After I've been playing for about an hour or so, the camera just flies up my character's ass and won't leave, even if I change areas. How do I stop this? The only way to fix it that I've found is to just save and restart. I don't wanna do this forever, man. It seems to happen when I do a total 180 and reset the camera.
Anyone know what I mean?
>mfw Nagi busted out Vergil-ass shit in his affinity mission
nigga earned a spot on my squad that day
So what are the good choices to make in certain questlines again? All I can remember is blue wires and something about lesbians.
Speaking of affinity missions, am I the only one who really liked Phog and Frye's affinity missions and implementation in general?
>recruit them in separate missions, connection to each other isn't immediately explained
>trying to use them together has them make excuses
>find out they had a falling out over family issues
>do a joint AM for both of them where you fight alongside one and come to the rescue of the other
>they patch things up
>final AM is them doing a job together and bantering together
i beat him without using a mech
you can kill him from the tiny pole platform high up, some of your skill animations might make you fall off thats the hardest part
Phog and Frye are two of the best characters in the game. They had top tier affinity missions. Their banter with other characters is great too
>Murderess: Looks like you're not completely useless after all.
>Phog: Thanks...I think
>Hope: Phog, are you okay? You look sad
>Phog: Oh that's just how I look.
>Frye: Hey Alexa, you ever gonna talk about something besides Skells?
>Alexa: Well the only things you talk about are booze and your brother.
>remember when we went to the grand canyon and mom made one of her famous pies
>yeah, good times.
>why'd you mention it
>oh i'm just hungry
>this is right after frye relates a story showing what kind of person he's always been
fucking phog, man
I liked the dynamic between them. Despite Phog being younger, he's the one who's able to accept that his dad's reasoning was logical while Frye has to deal with it through drinking
>Despite the recruitment quest Murderess and Irina have no lines together
>In Murderess's first affinity quest Irina and Gwin gain affinity if you say you'll do whatever the Murderess commands and more
How on earth does that work?
Elma will constantly comment about not believing her partner was such a little bitch.
Nagi will refuse to come to your team since you brought disgrace to BLADE.
Vandham suggests Elma and Lin look for a new member for their team.
Frye won't invite you to drinking nights anymore.
Alexa will think you are boring
Murderess wont even talk to you
Irina will downgrade you to be even worthless than Gwin
Gwin will start to boss you
Boze will suggest you Harakiri
Hope will says she is too busy to help you
Yelv will stop calling you pard
Celica'd rather spent time with Rock
Mia will be sad her chief is such a little bitch
L will say he would rather not learn from your coward ways
Go and fight Go-rha at Noctilium and get your revenge, anon.
So, do you guys really believe X and XC aren't connected in some way? The devs are saying one thing but the game likes to say the opposite.
>fighting telethia for the orphe quest
>it's at night, raining
>go to the wrong landing spot for phase 2 since I'm blind as a bat, get killed from far away as I try to reach it
I've already beaten it before, for the holofig, so this is extra embarassing
so consider this soundtrack, or more accurately, it's title.
z23s20a12m0a9-1r4u. Remove the z## prefix and what is commonly speculated to be the recording date, and you get "sama-ru". This is basically "samaar" rendered in katakana and then transliterated back, so it can reasonably be interpreted as "samaar". but if instead we construe the hyphen to simply be a hyphen and reverse the terms, it becomes "ru-sama". -sama is of course the reverent honorific in japanese, and ru is the name of L in japanese.
Enter the first of my various crack theories regarding XenoX's numerous unanswered plot details: I've long held the suspicion L
and Elma by extensionhave something to do with the samaarians, or perhaps are even samaarians themselves (by race. part of the federation? ass knows.) Would this lend credence that that suspicion?
But more interestingly, if my memory serves corectly the song plays in the earlier cutscenes introducing us to The Great One and Luxaar's reverence thereof. taking the "samaar" reading of the title, it makes me wonder if The Great One and the Vita aren't somehow connected to Samaarian technology. But if instead we take the "ru-sama" reading of the title, (shoutout to the use of the -sama honorific in a piece dealing with The Great One), we arrive at the second of my crack theories: That L is connected with The Great One, or even is The Great One himself (or perhaps TGO's true vessel, considering that Vita never showed any signs of housing any entity)
Aplologies if any/all of this has already been said before.
Just ordered this game and Mario Maker off of Amazaon a few minutes ago.
I hope it doesn't suck.
I think XC is just a legend told by the Nopon and passed down throughout their generations
>Sword of Legend-ar is the Monado
>Tatsu outright says "Nasty machine bigger than legendary Frontier Village big"in the cutscene before the Zu Pharg fight
Weather it actually happened and something happened in between may or may not be open for interpretation, but the game goes out of its way to say it's just a legend even though planet Mira could very well be the new world that Shulk created.
It will be fun if the character conversation to you change if you drop a boss difficulty till you get good again
Elma will say that maybe you are not fit for the team
Lin will say she will rather be on the kitchen with Tatsu (insert eat tatsu joke)
Alexa will say you are boring
Murderess wont even talk to you
Irina will say you are below Gwin
Gwin will start to boss you around
Bozze will say you are a shame (and suggest Harakiri)
Yelv will regret even thinking you were on par to his friend
Hope will make up an excuse that is Busy with other people
L will say he dont see any value he could learn from you
Frey will says he is busy drinking and you cant join him
H.B will brush you off as some impure trash
build an all RANGE arts set up. you basically only need meme walk to survive (or other variants) and then pull out infinite Over Drive
Whats up with the droprates for some of these affinity quests?
Its bad enough that they dont even give you a hint for the target location.
>Yelv will stop calling you pard
also you forgot HB
>the invisible walls in the ocean are canon and are the way the planet uses to lock you into that specific area of its surface
>the terrain constructed from the remains of Bionis and Mechonis at the end of Xenoblade is just on the other side of the planet
So how the fuck do you beat the lvl 81 gleaming sphinxes, I tried when I was 59, with three 50 skells, is it possible to do it if I go in with all overdrives, or do I need to get lvl 60 skells
It's a lot easier than it sounds. Just fly to all the spaces where you complete segment recon by opening treasure, you build percentage really fast and you get some money and probes for your trouble.
They look fairly similar to me, only difference being one's much much (almost painfully) paler skin tone and the weird hex-y hair texture. So I've just assumed
Ayylmais just a female of whatever species L is, since difference in skin tone is not such a huge separation (consider the coexistence of brown and green Ma-non; not even variation of pigment concentration can achieve that as brown and green are different hues).
There's also L rather brashly describing
Ayylmato be more beautiful, which could be chalked up to people only being wired (naturally) to lust after members of their own species (looked less weird to him?) But that's a lot of muddy speculation so take the "compliment argument" as I'll dub it with a boulder of salt.
I actually thinking more along the lines of this
Nah I'm just an autist so I can't see jack shit between the lines (and often hallucinate shit in there as a result)
RIP sequel, I've heard that takahashi's talking as though he's moving on to something different
>Running around in NLA
It does have a decent post-quest dialogue though.
If you speak to that manon later, he says that he tried to read the emotions of a Nopon, and the only thing he could see on his machine was "Pay 150 credits to gain access to my emotions!"
