Bait them into double jumping by dashing and then stopping (guard) before the dash animation ends. Or dashing and countering after you dash if you can tell the opponent will air dash at you.

Counter-dashing has been removed (tested in Demo), but if you dash and can tell your opponent will mash the attack button after you bounce off his guard then just counter him.

Depends on the character.

If you want to get good - learn unblockable attacks and what I call 'awkward' combos.

The 2 main unblockables are 1) After someone jumps, there is a frame just above the middle of their jump (just before they land) where they can't sub or block any attack, once you know it is easy, but you have to try it a few times - it is harder than 2) as if you miss the frame they can sub.

2) If you use an attack that sends someone flying, the same frame as 1) works, but it is COMPLETELY UNBLOCKABLE - allowing you to land free ultimates.

It's why if you use anyone with knockups or air combos, they are good in this game - people don't know this as far as I've found.

You can also land free ultimates if you use support knockbacks - but more people have been aware of this since 2-Gen so it is harder to do against better players, works on scrubs though.

There's other cute shit as well with specific characters but we won't know fully until the game comes out - I'll find it by testing every character, hopefully I can find some more infinites as well.

Now 'awkward combos' - whenever you use a combo, don't mash your buttons - press them slowly/awkwardly - this may seem basic, but it makes it a bit harder to sub and I don't see anyone average doing it.

TL;DR abuse unblockable frames + ez combos, enjoy being at the top.

tl,dr last game i played was narutimate hero 2/accel and i don't know which game for PC to get now

long version:
many years ago i autistically modded my PS2 and i played the japanese (custom modded) version of narutiamte hero 2 every single fucking day
i 100%'d the game, and then spent all my time fighting to hardest CPU for fun
all alone of course because no friends, but the game was super fun
later accel got released and i played that too, was amazing

then i kinda stopped

now many years later i really feel like playing that sort of naruto fighter again, this time on PC

True, Base Gaara is clearly superior to Base Naruto, but the thing is that their base forms don't matter. It'll never NOT escalate to higher forms. Neither would allow the other to be defeated without growing more powerful, and at the end, Naruto's hidden tricks outscale Gaara's in power.

I'd say pick up STORM 4 and if that fails there's STORM 3, Generations, STORM 2, and STORM 1.
You probably have different tastes than I do and I'd rather not lead you the wrong way, but Revolution was the worst out of all of them, I can tell you that.
The others I haven't played in years so I can't tell how the "felt" right now.
STORM 3 and 4 were very fast
STORM 2 was a little more "strategic" instead of just rushing down the enemy
STORM 1 is probably a mix between the two but with no multiplayer.

True, but the exception comes with tailed beast hosts. They come back from fatal injuries and power up, most of the time. And Gaara vs Naruto is a fight between two hosts. Things are not going to end with a Sand Coffin or kunai stab. Sasuke tore a huge hole in Naruto's chest at the first battle at the Valley of the End and that was only the beginning of the hell he had to overcome to barely win.
