So, its pretty much inevitable that Splatoon will get a sequel on the NX. What would you like to see in Spla2n?
Better map rotation system. Maybe a longer singleplayer. More modes that aren't just slight permutations. Remember all the brainstorming we'd do pre-release of fun game mode ideas? Other than that and the obligatory new maps I think they're pretty set. I don't think we need more weapon classes or anything.
separation between fashion and stats
the game hub being filled with actual players
a guild system with guild objective and stuff
a better single player mode
Callie being killed so only Marie reign supreme
Regional matchmaking options
Also, maybe some Nintendo-themed gear, kinda surprised they haven't done anything like that yet
>the game hub being filled with actual players
While this might be kind of cool, it would also result in a metric shitload of autism. People RPing and having squid parties where they sit in circles and press the squid button over and over. And over.
>Expanded customization (pants, hairstyles, etc.)
>All maps in rotation, perhaps a voting system with measures to prevent repeating the same map over and over.
>Lots more music, customizable playlist.
>Multiple load-out slots.
>Hating Nintendo so much you become retarded.
Longer single player, no content arbitrarily locked on the disk for the first couple of months and no retarded map rotation system that prevents players from playing on the maps they want. Unfortunately give how well Splatoon sold I expect to get none of these things.
this would hands down be the best name for a sequel
also im wondering how many titles will get an NX release, over from the wii u.
like i bet the new Zelda will also be for NX (if not exclusively for NX because why try to save the already dead console than boostin gthe NX with an exclusive Zelda)
or things like mairo maker, i mean that game depends on the livelihood of its community.
It's obnoxious when it doesn't read well, like Thi4f. When it doesn't alter the pronunciation of the word it's fun. But they probably will give it a subtitle or something for differentiation.
they're going to do something retarded that ruins the game like, oh now every inkling has a dog that follows you around and slurps up enemy ink and you can make him attack enemies or some stupid shit
Isn't Splatoon mostly made by the team that did Animal Crossing?
By their track record, the only thing that could ruin it is whatever retarded gimmick the next console ships with.
But they're fusions that are in the drawthread
Hold onto your hats guys
>fleshed out 4 player local multiplayer mode.
>cute 3d well polished minigames that might involve day in the life activities of inklings or/and target practice
(I just want to play splatoon with my friends irl and not just take turns.. please Nintendo think of anything
I'd love a real LAN mode but that still depends on having 8 people who all own the game together and doesn't offer that much benefit over doing a custom online game with them. I wish you could squad up for Turf Wars because I don't really like ranked mode but want to play with friends.
A more fleshed out world
Single player isn't just a bunch of floating platforms, have missions around squidopolis' different areas
Larger and more interactive hub world with day and night cycle. Different places open/close at night and day
Most of what >>323557317 said
Even more player customization, weapon/clothing colours, permanent hair colour outside of matches, not what the last teams hair colour was
Everyone has some sort of squid-phone with earbuds, let the player listen to their own music/or choose what songs to listen to when in matches
Anamanaguchi collaboration for some hip music
A more fleshed out world
Alter the re-roll/gear mechanics so you have a bit more control over things, adjust the map rotation system to be less restrictive, add voice chat for private lobbies, backing out of search lobbies and changing gear while waiting in a lobby, and a longer single player campaign.
-Two new playable species: Cuttlefish and Nautilus
-More customization options for tentacle style, skin color, eye color, freckles/no freckles, beak teeth size, etc
-Four-team versions of maps for matches between teams of every species
-All of the old stages back with the ones that need it getting revisions/fixes and four-team versions
-More dynamic stages with moving sections, hidden areas, and stage hazards
-More modes like Capture the Flag, Base Defense, Fill the Basin
-Guest appearances from other Nintendo cephalopods, like a race with Bubbler from Diddy Kong Racing, a boss battle with Squiddicus from Donkey Kong Country Returns, Octoman from F-Zero hanging around giving prizes and rewards for things
Since everyone has pretty much mentioned what I want in the sequel, riddle me this: Splatoon was without a doubt THE game that benefited the most from being on the Wii U. Gyroscopic aiming allowed for both wild spraying to cover territory and accurate shots to get kills. The Gamepad screen acting as a map and method for super jumping allowed you to easily see how the match was going at any given time. Will the NX be compatible with the Wii U Gamepad or will Spla2n just have to manage with a regular controller?
Honestly there isn't a ton I would change about the game, just improve what is already there if that makes any sense, better online obviously, harder campaign I guess. I just really hope the next game pays attention to small details.
Splatoon really feels like a FIRST entry nintendo game, where everything as far as the theme and small little details are spot on and make you appreciate the game. I just hope that the pressure stays on for them and they don't fuck it up and lose the atmosphere this game has.
I disagree, I get burned out and I'll quit for a few weeks or a month but no other game is like splatoon. Aft er 200 hours you will feel exhausted by it but you WILL come back and be happy it's there, and reminded of how good it is.
More playable species like an Anglarfish species and the Octolings.
All maps playable at anytime.
Being able to change your weapons in the matchmaking menu instead of having to back out
A gamemode with a limited amount of lives.
And a single player that doesn't feel like a tutorial for the multiplayer.
you silly, inklings can't swim in water
up to you to decide dude, are there several wiiu games you want to play? as a wiiu owner obviously i will think that it is worth it because i made the determination that it was for me but we don't have the same preferences in games now do we
Oh, GREAT, I was affraid splatfest were gone too. I don't mind not having updates if I can play online
Yes, mostly Splatoon, Smash, Mario Kart and Maker, maybe the new Fatal Frame. Also, maybe some other games that I've never tried before, like Bayonetta or Xenoblade Chronicles.
I want the ability to back out of a lobby.
I'm tired of being forced to play ranked against japs. Getting to A-rank was a nightmare when connection loss means automatic deduction in rank points
