Not really. Just get minmaxed/strong Pawns they will do the most damage for you. Have fun on your first playthrough and dont worry about minmaxing. All of the content except Dark Arisen content is not extremely hard.

But if you are looking to be Ranger, just do Strider and then Ranger. Do Fighter or Warrior for their augments if you want since they help in close combat and defense.

I don't know what they are but they are not RPGs. Same with Diablo, Borderlands, TitanQuest and many more. They may have RPG elements, like loot and level mechanics and abilities, but almost every game released in the past 7 years has those too.

No. For climbing, he's slower than a strider, deals less damage than an assassin and is actually MORE gear dependent (since you don't really find any magick bows until late)

And definitely less fun, since you don't even have to use skills, you just self-immolate and grab the monster, and that's it.

Again, the novelty of the class is fun at first, but wears off rather fast. Then in BBI he is the objectively most powerful, but again pretty boring (lel, spam ricochet shots all day erry day.) Don't get me wrong, I like MA, I just think it's a bit sad that people discard all the other classes because MA is so strong. If you only play MA, it's gonna get real boring after a while, and you're spoling yourself so it will be hard to go another class.

Depends entirely. Sword does more damage when climbing, but daggers have instant reset and dodging. (And the dagger counter is better.) I prefer sword for the style points, but it's probably best to just swap for whatever is the best weapon you currently have.

Exactly, and damage isn't necessarily always the best stat. Not to mention, at level 200 you'll have so much of every stat anyway that it won't matter. You can level as an assassin from 10-200 and still kill the last boss as a MA or sorc, even though that's like the direct OPPOSITE of minmaxing for magic classes.
