Why does NOA insist on making this rare as fuck?
Why wouldn't they want more people to buy this?
How fast was it sold out? Was it a matter of hours or days?
>still no EU release date
1. Low physical stock = more people having to buy digital (they did this with Awakening and nobody had stock for weeks, some fans end up buying digital)
2. Low physical stock circulating the market months after it comes out means prices will not drop. There will be high demand and low stock. This ensures prices will never drop below what they set it at. If you look at AAA companies, they're games always drop in prices after a few months due to everyone overstocking it and they can't sell em all.
It does promote scalping, but nintendo doesn't give a fuck about poorfags anyway. Either pay nearly full price for each first party game regardless of how old it is... or don't go nintendo next time.
or just hack your 3ds like what everyone has been doing this past week.
Because they're jackasses, remember they originally advertise this new fire emblem entry as two separate games, then incorporated a dlc only final route and finally made a cart that contained all three in limited stock.
This means not only are they fully aware of their actions they are outright admitting the marketing scam by having physical proof all three routes can "fit" in a single physical cart.
Nintendo is fucking with us completely now. As someone who usually plays the straight and narrow when buying games I'm really tempted to follow suit and pirate this.
Since it's clear nintendo is doing everything possible to bleed it's fans dry.
I remember how butthurt everyone was when it sold out online within minutes. 2 days later, I realized that I lived in a shitty little SoCal town with nothing but Hispanics. I drove down to GameStop and pre-ordered it without an issue.
I found out that just a few hours after I did that, it was sold out in every GameStop for miles.
FE 6, 7 and 8 recycled 80% of the assets.
Apparently, people are too dumb to notice unless you release all 3 simultaneously.
I used to be the guy who buys both versions of Pokemon from R/B/Y to X - Y
Now I have a family of my own and rarely have time to even play games as it is
As much as I would love to have all versions in one convenient cartridge chances are I'm only gonna play only one of them and go own with this boring adult life
don't grow up /v/ it's a trap
>buying fire emblem "fates"
These fuckers are going to destroy this game. The name changes will the slightest concerns.
Not even censorship (although they WILL probably remove a whole bunch of skinship shit since they want to push it as a T game and the west is afraid of boobs)
They're completely change the story, characters and probably dumb it down for dumb retards
>FE 6, 7 and 8 recycled 80% of the assets.
But the difference is character art, maps and story is different.
Games like Pokemon and Fire Emblem Fates were created at the same time and they just split the story in half. It's basically making one game with two routes but then selling it as two different games.
>Games like Pokemon and Fire Emblem Fates were created at the same time and they just split the story in half. It's basically making one game with two routes but then selling it as two different games.
But Pokemon games are literally identical
Meanwhile they made the standards length of a Fire Emblem game in 3 routes
They might jew you out of a few shekels, but in the end you get a lot more of that region
If you don't see the difference between Fates and Pokemon version split, you are either uninformed or a complete retard.
Like when the pushed in 10.3, all previous version firmwares are not able to use the browser on the 3ds until they upgrade to latest firmware.
And since this hack needs browser to do....
everything in one cart + artbook and other shit - $80
birthright - $40
conquest - $40
dlc - $20
welp... time to hack my 3ds and pirate. I'm not paying for digital shit that has less items than a special physical edition. If nintendo wanted my money, they would of made more special editions avaliable, not fuck everyone over except for scalpers.
nintendo games seem to sell near full price long after release since the gamecube days
gamestop sells used copies of brawl for $30+ still. metroid prime trilogy still going for $40+ used
hell, mario 64 ds, a game over 10 years old at this point, sells for $30 used
>preorder from best buy
>tfw no chibi keychain I would never dare use in public
at least I got the special edition for 60bux
Are they random? I don't even want to play the awful localization version, but I might pre-order to get free keychains and just return the games for a refund.
>1. Low physical stock = more people having to buy digital (they did this with Awakening and nobody had stock for weeks, some fans end up buying digital)
bullshit only gamestop had that delayed for a week nonsense. any big box store had Awakening Day 1.
this is the better comparision
Might be careful with that. It happened with a few Collector's editions before (In amazon and best buy) where they put it up days or weeks later, only to have to cancel the orders on launch.
Happened with MGSV, Majora's Mask and one other thing last year, but I can't remember.
>lack of stock intended to make you pay for digital
May as well fucking pirate it. Literally no reason not to.
Nintendo is so fucking anti-consumer it hurts.
Don't forget Twilight Princess on Wii. That shit was $50 for several years until they they introduced the Nintendo Selects edition of their titles, and that and several other Wii games finally dropped in price.
>bullshit only gamestop had that delayed for a week nonsense. any big box store had Awakening Day 1.
They did have it Day 1, but it sold out in most stores during half of day 1 and then it was out of stock for like two weeks before anyone got more physical copies.
yeah that explains why this goes on ebay more than the Monado Secret Files.
See this was what everyone kept saying about xenoblade X, but then they didn't just censor the kid, they censored a ton of other stuff, like the banana hammock and swim suit bandages for guys, they turned them into huge white briefs. This game is going to be gutted out the ass.
> Boy, am I glad to live in Europe. Unless they completely skip physical release, there's never any shortage. Some CE can even be bought long after the initial release.
Except we're not getting a combined version at all
The funny part about this is that in Japan almost any Nintendo special or limited edition is way over produced, yet in the west they hardly make any. I don't think Nintendo has realized that they have way more people in the west that actually want to purchase those limited goods. The Japanese special edition of Fates can still be easy found whereas the US version sold out very quickly.
