Not OP, but archers are most certainly overpowered. The primary mod used for competitive play nerfed them into the ground for a good reason. They're utterly braindead to use and they're incredibly effective if the player is at all competent.

Unless i'm misinterpreting this, that IS how they currently are. You get hit with it, you take damage, outside of being a retard and walking back into it.

Reverse overheads are shit, I agree, but you can't remove spinning. Mordhau is removing them with a pretty smart system however, so props to them. Reverses aren't some unblockable kill move, however. They just take a long time to get used to.

Yeah, that's the main issue with archers. Whether or not you die to an archer has nothing to do with what you did. Sure, you can dodge and shit, but if you get hit, what could you have possibly done? It's all (influenced) luck, and considering that, they do FAR too much damage. No one wants to be hit across the map with maul damage.

SoW is one of the few standouts, and even then it's not objectively better. Longsword is longer (duh) and the Messer has better drags + more damage. In duels, yeah, most knights who aren't afraid of feinting are gonna use a SoW, but in TO and shit? You'll see a wider variance.

Not that anon, but I feel like the core gameplay mechanics of block/strike/stab/overhead/feint/dodge are deep enough to carry the game and make it enjoyable by itself. Maybe I need to "git gud", but unlike Melee or something, I feel like the base game is good enough to be carried without advanced exploits, and would genuinely be a better game if it wasn't for all the stuff you see high tier players doing.

Nah, I feel you and I certainly don't like reverses either. However, basic dragging I think is a fundamental part of the game and shouldn't be taken out in any circumstance (not that it could without changing the actual gameplay).

Mordhau is going to be removing reverses, so there's that.

My biggest issue with Chivalry is the recovery time between blocking an enemy hit between classes. A Knight should be slow in it's speed and attack, but does heavy amounts of damage, but if a Man-At-Arms blocks a Knight's attack, Man-At-Arms should have enough time to hit the Knight, instead the Knight has enough time to block again.

Another one is there is no communication or team play at all, I've seen more teamwork in Battlefield games, and that's saying something.

What do you think this is, parrying in Dark Souls? Blocking strikes is a fundamental part of the game and VERY easy to do. If you could just get free hits off of every parry, the game would be fucking retarded.

Sensitivity plays no part in how fast you turn while swinging. There's a cap on how fast you can turn. What your opponent is doing is a mixture of dragging and reverses. Look it up.
