Oculus Rift Yu-Gi-Oh game when?
>Have been playing this a lot recently after having gotten interested in the game again
>Aside from a few little things, I like it a lot
Why are Synchros so cool and why is
Yuseithe best protag?
Crow feels like a fucking self insert, the twins where good for both being signers, but someone apparently loved crow so fucking much he was pushed like Roman Reigns in show and out, Blackwings have a shit ton of support even though the deck is still shit.
>Only wins all the time because he uses magical cards from space
>Wins using a mishmash shitty deck thrown together with garbage cards smuggled in other prisoners' assholes
Yeah but it was the perfect way to introduce a bunch of new cards at the same time. Plus Elemental Hero Fusions are best Fusions.
I would enroll only cause I would live to see the girl uniforms more often.
And Zexal would have been better if Yuma and Kotori didn't exist, they dragged the show down with pointless bullshit, Shark would have been a better protagonist and Kaito would not have had to share the Kaiba rival spotlight.
Do you think Yugioh has a future fanbase for upcoming generations?
No kid watches the anime and anything competitive game kids play that isn't a sport are video games
Also why do niggers like Yugioh so much?
The game has gotten really complicated with xyz and pendulums. Plus the fact that there is no standard format means theres thousands of cards to choose from and some have very specific rulings that arent obvious.
Honestly I only recently got back into the game, but I've learned Synchros, and I believe I get the gist of XYZ and Pendulum, so it isn't exactly overly complex, it's just different.
>The dub didn't censor this at all
>But turned scissors into lasers
Pendulum was created to make shit cards like this from Gen 1 useful.
Sometimes I love to go back and just laugh at shitty cards like this. Honestly what were they thinking?
>It's just a card game
>Messing with other peoples property that they paid money for
That card is fusion material for this by the way
>I got this in my first ever pack
>Was king of the playground with this shit
>tfw I can't find it anymore
Confession, when I was young I thought when a card went to a graveyard it was going into a shredder
>Tfw can't find my old duel disk
>Kinda want to buy a new one
>They're fucking expensive for a new, unused one
That shit was the hypest back then.
The best they'll get is a tertiary character that may have a duel or two
>Seriously, who the fuck ever played the Pokemon TCG seriously, or even knew how to play to begin with?
The local league at my ToysRUs that congregated every saturday and awarded people real badges for winning set numbers of matches. You'd have like a specific stamp book and shit they you'd get stamped every time you won, and they'd give out promo cards and badges when you hit the right squares.
My friends and I couldn't care less of the rules.
We just made shit up. enjoyed the art, and bragged about collections
>TFW so isolated that I had no one to play card games with at my house
It's simple as shit.
Want a Rank 4 XYZ monster? Bang, stack it on top of 2 level 4 monsters you control.
Want a Synchro monster? Blamo, have two monsters equal its level, one being a tuner.
Basically fusion but instead of a poly you use a tuner monster and one or more non-tuner monsters that have levels that add up to the monster you want to summon
Two monsters of the same level make an Xyz monster of the same rank, the materials used to make it are basically ammo for its effect
Set a pendulum monster on each end of the board that are your pendulum scale. Once per turn you can special summon monsters from your hand with a level in between your pendulum scale
Also watch 5Ds, it's really pretty damn good
It says Tuner.
People who say Synchro's, XYZ, and Pendulum's just look at it and say "That's confusing." and don't bother to understand or learn it.
Before I help you with that, I need to know if you actually want to know about everything or if you are going to end up being one of the anons that complain about adding numbers and matching pairs being too complicated. I'll give you a basic rundown of the summoning mechanics at least first.
>Fusion (Probably already know)
Match two required cards listed to summon
Requires what is known as a "tuner" monster (it is labeled on the card) and usually one or more non-tuner monsters to summon a monster whose total levels match that of the summoned monster
Lay two monsters with the same level over each other to summon an Xyz monster. The two monster cards used for this summon are now considered "materials" for that monster and are considered "no longer on the field"
Summon multiple monsters whose levels are within a set scale. These monsters can also be played as a spell card in a new zone called the pendulum zone. When pendulum monsters are destroyed, they go to the EXTRA deck face up
Do you want to know anything specific?
I did forget that. I did too quick of a summary.
No worries. I like helping as much as I can.
Xyz monsters don't have levels. They have what is known as "Rank." Their rank is usually the same level as the level of the two monsters used for the summon. Xyz monsters still rest in the extra deck, but they are black cards. You can consider them a type of fusion if you want. The catch is that most Xyz monsters "detach" their "materials" off of them to activate their effects.
Refer to this as the example Xyz card since I was about to post it.
Sort of. You don't need any specific "materials", just two or more cards if matching level to XYZ a monster of matching rank.
You can discard a "material" to activate an XYZ monster's effect.
Yeah, and if you're still really super confused about all the new mechanics you could watch a bit of Arc-V
It's pretty good and it covers how everything works pretty quickly
For the anon wanting to know about the game. Here's an example synchro monster. They are all white.
Here is an example pendulum card. They are half orange/tan at the top and transition into green at the bottom. The numbers next to the red and blue arrows are their scale. They may also have different effects depending if they are in the monster zone or the pendulum zone.
Thank you everybody for being so damn open to beginners, the new mechanics are great and add a new level of depth to everything, I'll most likely try it out soon.
But I will always have the GX era in my heart
Find what you think you'll enjoy first and then build from there. Stay strong and smile.
Have they fixed the new vanguard anime yet? I dropped it because it stopped showing the actual fights and just skips from the first vanguard to the last two or three turns so they can fit in characterization, even though it was fine before. Shit's annoying because those turns are crucial to the development of the fight.
He's worthy of his own collage
>the Yugi saga wasn't already full retard
People always wanna say that whatever happened after they left was full retard but every series has managed to get really out there.
I mean people started with all that "Card games on motorcycles shit" for 5D's after Jaden went to the fuckin moon to grab some cards he sent there as a kid to fight alien robots with.
This. At least 5DS has some fucking consistency, GX was fucking all over the place with duel spirits to space cards to DINO DNA to demonic tranny bent on destroying the universe to what else.
So in the anime, what happened to the duel monsters just being holograms? How come they're physical now?
I agree with your point, but I'm just going to say that he went to a moon called Dolphina that is near Jupiter.
Honestly, I like all of the ridiculous nonsense the show can bring. I wonder why it's not seen as a positive thing. Traveling to Jupiter to grab cards, distorting time and space to synchro summon, this thing showing up out of nowhere. It's pretty good.
don't get me wrong, I like it too
but people always want to pretend that YGO was a super serious TV show about people playing card games in life or death situations, which is ridiculous in of itself
In Arc-V, new technology called Real Solid Vision is introduced where duelists can physically interact with their monsters in different ways, flying through the air, jumping off cliffs and buildings, and the like. Through this, attacks from monsters can also be real.
If your initial thoughts are that all of this sounds incredibly dangerous, you would be absolutely right.
>In Arc-V, new technology called Real Solid Vision is introduced where duelists can physically interact with their monsters in different ways
So in other words it's a waifu simulator?
Which is covered in the anime. During the episodes showing the child duels in the tourney they said the monsters had less "physical presence" or whatever. So the virtual environment felt like foam to kids.
>dye hair blonde
>wear american flag bandana and studded leather vest
>buy specially made sunglasses to fit over the oculus rift
>make deck consisting of zombies and machines
I've been waiting my whole life for this.
It can be, but ENTERTAINMENT takes priority.
I forgot to mention that Arc-V also introduces a new show-specific feature called action dueling that is mean to bring ENTERTAINMENT to dueling. For those that don't know, "Action Fields" are created based on a theme and apply Real Solid Vision technology into it. Cards are spread all over the field that players can grab and use as technical quick-plays. A child variant was used so that the children wouldn't be critically injured from any attacks or during any tricks they may have performed. Outside of those fields, it's complete war, child or adult.
I know jaden and yugi, I "know" the black hard guy, but don't remeber his name.
As such , I'm going to order them from normal to most retarded hair.
Jaden>Black hair dude>yugi
though its ok cause its iconicthe green/red hair thing, is that seaweed?, and mr. two pink horns, Seriously that has got to be the most retarded hair design in all of anime.
>>Black hair dude
>Yusei, the best boy.
All beyond me, but seeing as that's the season where best girl comes from I'm fine with that, pic related.
>Yu-Gi-Oh's still called Yu-Gi-Oh
>Yugi isn't the main protag anymore
>Not changing it to Duel Monsters
