>Fusion (Probably already know)
Match two required cards listed to summon

Requires what is known as a "tuner" monster (it is labeled on the card) and usually one or more non-tuner monsters to summon a monster whose total levels match that of the summoned monster

>Xyz
Lay two monsters with the same level over each other to summon an Xyz monster. The two monster cards used for this summon are now considered "materials" for that monster and are considered "no longer on the field"

>Pendulum
Summon multiple monsters whose levels are within a set scale. These monsters can also be played as a spell card in a new zone called the pendulum zone. When pendulum monsters are destroyed, they go to the EXTRA deck face up

Xyz monsters don't have levels. They have what is known as "Rank." Their rank is usually the same level as the level of the two monsters used for the summon. Xyz monsters still rest in the extra deck, but they are black cards. You can consider them a type of fusion if you want. The catch is that most Xyz monsters "detach" their "materials" off of them to activate their effects.

Refer to this as the example Xyz card since I was about to post it.

Here is an example pendulum card. They are half orange/tan at the top and transition into green at the bottom. The numbers next to the red and blue arrows are their scale. They may also have different effects depending if they are in the monster zone or the pendulum zone.

I dropped it because it stopped showing the actual fights and just skips from the first vanguard to the last two or three turns so they can fit in characterization, even though it was fine before.
