I thought this day would never come
I thought I would never see an image like this
I'm having conflicting feelings about this.
Having only one save slot is actually fucking retarded, the pawn shit is no excuse.
>b-but the NG+ is amazing, just use that!
How long till we have a mod that'll let me have multiple saves? I'll buy it that very day.
enjoy your game, a lot of you seem excited to play it.
>steady 60 fps is now called "port issues"
>the game's already been leaked.
yep playing it myself. it couldn't have killed them to actually update the textures a bit to make a proper HD remaster out of it but you can't have everything.
What happened to the "leaked" threads though, deleted ?
It works well, at least from what I've tried so far. Only issue is lack of mouse use in one or two menus or it requiring a button like enter rather than one closer to where your left hand should sit.
>piratefags get to play it a week early
>tfw you have to wait for it to release on Steam
>tfw moralfag principles are preventing me from downloading the leak despite already buying the game twice
People are already playing it flawlessly, retard
>it's year of our lord 2k16 and he doesn't use a private tracker
>some malicious shit on my PC.
my pirated norton IS takes care of everything. you fuckers should stop being Gabe's bitches and pretend that the bargain bin that is steam is doing anything for gaming. just download the leak.
it's still a ps3 game. I honestly don't know why some of you OCD-ridden fagets do this to yourselves, is it a mustard thing trying to play everything with m/kb ? It's retarded. Sometimes I hope Vanquish gets ported on the PC just to laugh at you.
I have a 21:9 monitor.
piratedthe game to test it out. My fears were confirmed when the game started up 2160x1080 and when I go ahead to change it in the menu, I can't see a "Confirm Changes" button and I fear it's at the bottom of the screen which I can't reach. What do I do?
Dragon's Dogma is heavily based on quick movements and precision though, something you can't do with keyboard and mouse, I mean you technically can but you'll be at disadvantage, it's like trying to play DMC with a keyboard.
It's monster hunter crossed with shadow of the collosus in a medieval fantasy world starring greek mythology running on an engine smoother than melted butter on the sun with unrivaled combat.
Can't wait for the Flying into Free mod so that I can enjoy the true experience.
Also I bought it, but there is literally nothing wrong with pirating a game and anyone who thinks otherwise is retarded.
Because they're still professionals, just because the game leaked doesn't mean they can disregard the rules and released it as it is. If there's a release date then there must be a reason for one.
For the port to be worse than the console versions, it'd have to be made shit on purpose.
Ok, guess I'll just pirate it then
>Dragon's Dogma is heavily based on quick movements and precision though, something you can't do with keyboard and mouse
Playing Quake competitively requires quicker, more precise movements than anything played with a controller. KB+M is the best for that sort of thing.
They already did, and you can already replace textures because the mod tools for other MT frameworks games works on it
No model support yet though, once there is though I plan on porting over some MonHun equipment
>download torrent to play a week early
>oh boy, this is fun!
>realize I won't be able to transfer my save to my steam bought copy
>lose all will to keep playing
So, pre-PC DD fans: how are you handling the very last week of remotely civil DD discussion before PKeks shit up the fanbase like what happened to Dark Souls, MGS, etc.? Because it's going to be impossible to talk about this game after the 15th without PKek secondaries shitting up every thread just by being in it.
That...Is actually the only time pirating is legal.
>it's like trying to play DMC with a keyboard.
is this guy for real?
My 750ti is running 1080p 60fps on medium settings 95% of the time, but it has the occasional drop to 55fps in the most random places which is notable with vsync on, the camera starts stuttering.
While I agree it should be an option and shouldn't control like complete ass, I can't really see how a game like this can be better on kb+m. Most games like this are literally, and I mean that in it's proper usage, built around using a controller.
Just an opinion I guess though, I love kb+m for most things, just not these sorts of games.
Anyone know how to swap out the title screen music? I think I found it but it's in some ".sngw" format or something like that, not sure if it'll work.
Runs great on my GTX460 and Phenom II X4. It rarely dips below 45 FPS on maximum settings.
>Its like the japanese don't get PC gaming, its re4 port all over again.
You mean shit menu controls but infinitely better aiming outside of that? I agree, yellow classes are actually playable now.
>Meanwhile cucks pay for the game twice
Pirates are literally killing sales.
How do we fix this bros?
Everyone is good in this game.
They didn't say that at all, though. Unless you somehow count "we don't have anything that will help you mod the game but we can't stop you" as "support".
>No skills ?
there are lots of skills m8
but yeah everything about the game besides the combat is shit. the game gets better the more you play as you unlock more abilities and the combat encounters gets crazier. it's still not a 10/10 game or anything close so hopefully you didn't fall for the shill hype
>there are still people that think if you pirate a game you simultaneously charge the developer/publisher for the game's full price
If they were not going to buy it in the first place then there's no difference if the pirated version exists or not
It doesn't lose them money but it also doesn't make them any either. Sure its not like having a physical copy stolen where they actually do lose money (or I guess the retailer does), but if everybody pirates, they don't get jack shit.
Then the company ends up in the red on the project and we don't get any chance at a sequel.
Not saying they will end up in the red on this since it was a port not a whole new game, but still.
>If you wants to fuck with your own textures: http://residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/481/arc-unpacker-repacker-v0-26 - this guy's unpacker works, use the PC-RE6 batch file, just edit in -tex flag on the batch file, drag and drop the relevant .arc file on the batch file, find your texture you want to fuck with (adding -tex makes the unpacker create a .dds file as well as the game's format: .tex), edit the .dds, and here's the important part: read the .txt file the unpacker generated for the texture file, make sure you're saving your .dds as the correct format : either DXT1 or DXT5, with alpha channel. Then when you've mucked around with all the textures, drag the folder onto that same batch file - this will create a new .arc that you can drop in your game files (back up your original).
>added a simple script which allows you to use the Secret of Metamorphosis without finishing the game first.
great for sharing sliders
FLYING INFO FREE
>Open file location for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
>Create backup of Tittle_DDN.sngw (make sure to move it to another folder there seems to be a strange glitch with the audio when it is in the folder)
>Import downloaded Tittle_DDN.sngw
home ley or McFX.cfg to turn off AO. for performance: disable the depthbuffercalc in Common.cfg for a few FPS if you don't want depth effects(AO/DOF).
(way too blue)
I don't care much about Capcom
Yes but most people buying this are people who are doing so for the second or third time
Most pirates are people who don't have money or just don't want to spend money on it, they wouldn't be buying it regardless
There's only a small portion that actually download it because it's "free", and then gloat about others paying for it
Personally, I don't think that the sales will even affect if they make a sequel or not, since it'll be up to the publisher
I myself bought 3 copies already, and have the Standard game and Dark Arisen version for consoles, so I technically bought it about five times
All these elves, amazons, and children.
Have something different: a mythical creature.
The eyes look amazing, though i wish they glowed at night.
>Seems like a trend today
It is a pretty old game, though
But yes, it can be empty.
Though some locations are justified by having a huge monster in them, to give you room to fight it as you want or run away
Back then the "open world" concept was still being worked on
Having an open world in 2015 with literally zero content was shameful due to how much developers should have already learned over the years
>play through tutorial
>"wow sword and board actually is fun in this game and feels powerful enough to stand on its own "
>it's a ruse because fighter vocation is actually worse and less viable in high level than going in naked
What a damn shame
Except TW3 played way better with KB&M.
I played it through once with gamepad and second time with KB&M and it was a way smoother experience and if I would have just used gamepad I would have been one of those who complain that the combat was clunky.
>MFW can make this guy.
Warrior, Fighter and Mage are flat out worse than the other classes, Warrior in particular is gimped because >lol 3 skills. Don't even mention Arc of Deliverance since it doesn't remotely make up for tWarrior's shortcomings.
*disclaimer: All classes are perfectly viable and can beat all the content in the game without much trouble
You forgot Demon girls were a thing too.
> It's probably closer to TES
you are saying that like it's a good thing. DD is it's own thing, a good one. Stop comparing it to anything.
also ds2 is better than anything in the awful tes franchise
>if everybody pirates, they don't get jack shit
If you logic was true, we would never have aaa bullshit like cod every fucking year. 99% of gamers don't know shit about pirating and torrents. Most of people don't even know about digital distribution. Piracy is a buzzword that marketers use to justify bad sales. "Our game is not shit, it's just pirates who ruined our sales xD"
How the hell is there already a cracked torrent of this game when it is isn't out yet ?
Well, usually you just mix mustard seeds and powder with some vinegar.
That's because backspace is also used as a enter/accept key (so you remove one character and accept the change at the same time and have to reenter name editing after). Maybe rebinding backspace would help if it's possible.
I think it does, mainly for the character models, everything else is fine but those character faces are near Oblivion tier, I fired it up and didn't realize how hideous Quina looked.
I know there isn't any official support but I'm kinda excited to see if there could be mods that add new stuff to the game, like random spawns or more lively NPC stuff. Dunno if that would even be possible tho.
That makes sense, but is a fucking terrible decision. I can't believe whoever was in charge of control mapping didn't notice this, or none of the testers noticed it. Hopefully it's fixed on release.
Download finished, started the game but exited. The lights are too low-ow-ow...
99% of pirates never were going to buy the game, or still will.
Pirating doesn't kill sales, bad marketing and bad games do.
Lolis are shit tier pawns, don't make them
>can't carry anything without getting overencumbered
>can't tank hits
>can't throw things
>poor weapon reach
>get staggered easily
>never get hired
Don't make them
So I've been playing the game for a while, and here are my special snowflake opinions.
+Combat is consistently fun; attacks have a good sense of weight and impact and almost all of the combat skills are useful in different ways
+Every class is well-rounded and they all actually function slightly differently; you get a completely different experience fighting will-o-wisps as a warrior and as a magic archer
+Boss fights are cool and feel appropriately grand in scale; the scaling feature is neat and something I wish more action games would implement
+The whole pawn system is weirdly engaging; I didn't expect building up your own sidekick to be that much fun
-The setting is really really generic. I get they were going for a standard D&D sort of feel but I still couldn't help feeling like I would be more invested if the game world was something I hadn't seen a thousand times before
-The game world itself is also pretty limited in size and complexity. There's pretty much no point to exploring if you're not doing a quest, and you spend most of the early game just running back and forth through the pass near Gran Soren just because it's the only path
-The game could use some variety in character builds. Aside from "Always pick up the Assassin perks" there doesn't seem to be any thought involved in stat allocation; you just level up your class and get better gear to become better.
Overall I like it. I know you guys don't care but I wanted to put down my thoughts coherently anyway.
>tfw like my pawn more than my arisen
>attacks have a good sense of weight and impact
No they don't
I like the game but only some attack, mostly killing blows have a sense of impact. Most of the times enemies barely move until their energy is depleted.
Start a petition. No really.
Chances are they could add the feature, or possibly thought of it and it was messing with something they rather not try fixing. If you really want it in get enough signatures, you're not asking for a port, just a feature, one that could be added in an update.
I'de sign it.
Source? I'm sure you will be able to.
Unlikely it will have workshop, though it will have a modding community. However don't expect anything more than some value edits for harder enemies, skin changes and things like that. I would love there to be a more than one save mod though. That would be fucking godly but I doubt we'll see it.
I'm almost certainly going to be going Stider, Ranger or Assassin. What classes should I level up? I hear you need to level certain classes to gain attribute boosts and to get "augments" which I presume are perks you unlock by leveling classes.
well, i haven't gone that far but it's not exactly weighty, it even feels less weighty when comboing than DMC. i've seen those greatsword webms but in general it's perhaps asking too much for such advanced physics, creatures seem impressive so far. i have no idea what class to take.
i think ps3 anons should really spam charts every thread like anons do in STALKER threads
I'm kinda torn because I want to play as Guts but archery in this game is outstanding.
They're third-person action-rpgs with character customization made by Japanese developers, set in a western-style fantasy setting with elements heavily inspired by Berserk, with non-standard online multiplayer elements that are intrinsic to core gameplay. Perhaps you could see where people would draw a comparison.
There are roughly two Japanese action RPGs set in fantasy medieval Europe and they were released around the same time. Both are challenging on top of that and have depth in equipment options.
Failing to see how they're compared is kind of ignorant.
I can't believe this game actually plays better on kbm than on a gamepad.
Welcome to Dragon's Dogma.
Don't be needlessly obtuse. They're both third-person action games with both melee and ranged combat. Yes, they're different in how they implement these, but they're still far more similar than they are to Doom, or Age of Empires, or Neopets.
im going to buy the game. im just using the torrent as an opportunity to play it early. ive also never played this game before so its a nice way to test it out in terms of gameplay and early perfomance
Slow motion script for those cinematic moments.
I'm playing the Steam version and it works fine. Menu navigation with KB+M is a pain though.
I actually switch between the two. On my ranger, when I have to do a lot of shooting, I just use the mouse and keyboard to aim and move around. For melee and platforming, the controller is superior.
The button prompts change too, as soon as you press a button on the keyboard/controller.
Wait wait, the discussion derailed in the wrong direction. So if you recommend strider so much should I make my pawn it?
Or go with ranger since strider is better used in the hands of the player?
>tfw your Arisen ends up looking like shit when you start playing
At least my pawn is a qt.
>Tfw no more Eternal Ferrystone
This is suffering. NG+ was so easy for me since I already had all my Port Crystals up and just used my Eternal Ferrystone to get everywhere. Being limited to nothing again is hell.
>wander around doing early quests
>find a dragon
>get my shit pushed in so hard I question if I should not play the game again
I thought I was hot shit for killing a chimera. This dragon I found was way too fucking much, man.
Holy hell, what'd you do? No-life it through BBI?
I did a bit of suicide BBI runs for the discipline ring, but otherwise been dicking around in Gransys on hard. Just hit 30, more interested in quest/monster knowledge and pawn training to be honest.
Figure I'm more prepping for release and a save swap than racing to the finish, save swapping is easy peasy and I'd like to have a reasonably leveled pawn who can kick ass for others. Probably gonna turn off the Hard mode to slow down leveling and focus on some gear and skills now.
Dunno yet if I'm gonna mine BBI for some cursed loot, got about 4K riftbux to spend.
doesn't look like it :^)
did i fuck up? i bought it after pirating it to see if it ran well
In your stash, just have to reach Gran Soren.
I was wondering too, but a bunch of crap showed up in my stash once I hit up Gran Soren. Might have to do the Pawn Guild quest too, not sure.
>Q) Is the Eternal Ferrystone and bonus items/gears available in the PC version?
A) Yes! Bonus Items immediately accessible are: Swordman’s Ring, Daggerist’s Ring, Staff-Bearer’s Ring, The Lion’s Spine, Robe of Enlightenment, Wavering Cloth, Vagabond Armor, Tiara of Enlightenment, Ruminator’s Monocle, Jester’s Cap, and Fiend-luring Incense. Completing the first escort quest and reaching Gran Soren will unlock the following: Eternal Ferrystone, Set of Fop’s Trek Wear, Voldoan Armor, Priest Vestments, Lady’s Trek Wear, Queen’s Clothing, and Nun Vestments.
Not sure since I haven't pirated it, but it might be at the inn.
>have the money to get it
>but i have to spend that on birthdays this month
You don't know true suffering.
FYI, Hard Mode doesn't do jack for BBI. Same as Normal.
Still, BBI would do the trick. Guess that's where a lot of oldfags are gonna rush. Kinda want to get those early Ur-Dragon kills, might rush BBI myself after release.
After arriving at Gran Soren I found a bunch of exquisite items in my stash that I don't remember acquiring anywhere. Fancy armor, robes, rings. Are those the included DLC? Is there a way to disable them? I understand it's just few slots, but seeing this expensive stuff among my hard earned trash makes me feel bad.
No, it's not.
Check the wiki or search for an archived /ddg/ thread with the mechanics sticky. It got sorted out a long time ago that BBI is unaffected by Hard Mode (mostly). I think you still get the bags of gold but that was pretty well it.
here's the criteria you should be checking off when considering hiring a mage pawn
1. Do they have Legions Might equipped?
Any mage pawn that fails to meet this list of criteria is instantly ignored.
You're stupid then, cause BBI is on hard mode no matter what. If you turn your game down to normal BBI is still in hard mode. No matter what your setting is on, BBI is set to scale on hard.
For new players, put the port crystals you find at key main quest locations. The fastest way to upgrade armour is by beating the game. If you have the port crystals set up right you can beat NG+ in half an hour.
What happened guys?
I still remember when this game wasn't even released for console and watching videos on it. Apparently this was released four years ago. I went to college to fix my NEETdom and time has passed so quickly. Is the rest of my life going to go by this quickly?
I'm playing this right now and the only way you play play this game without getting a massive fucking headache from all the jaggies even with the AA setting turned all the way to the max is to play in 4k using DSR, VSR or whatever dynamic scaling software you use. Current 4k performance is a bit dodgy though. it'll probably be fixed with a day one update however.
I'm running on a 980 OC'd to match a stock 980ti so I know its not my GPU causing the issues.
>The fastest way to upgrade armour is by beating the game. If you have the port crystals set up right you can beat NG+ in half an hour.
>One half hour and 20 Wakestones to DF some stuff
>Buy a Bait from the guy in BBI and kill a Cursed Dragon in 30 seconds up to four times in a row
It's like you guys give bad advice on purpose or something.
IF that's true, setting the game to Hard mode changes them (i.e. is affected by Hard mode).
Oh, and just to follow up on that.
I've just done the BBI entryway both Normal and Hard, the wolves give something like 1.3k xp regardless. I did my ring run on Normal and restarted on Hard, BBI is all the same when I went back to dick around.
Yes, we're all just rushing for the finish line now.
>BBI is locked at Very Hard throughout.
I don't think you're reading me: I set the game to Hard not a half hour ago, and am now taking way more damage from shit and getting way more XP from shit.
>played on ps3
>pre ordered on pc
>playing the pirate copy as we speak
Literally my most hype release of the year. I don't even mind starting from scratch come Friday. That's a lie though, I'm just running around between cassardis and the bandit camp because I don't want to have to replay everything on Friday.
>tfw from a technical point it's almost 99.5 percent confirmed that we can't use our pirate save games with the legit copy
Pretty good. I actually ended up deleting and re-unzipping the game for reasons, backing up and inserting my old save went smooth. Hardly any reason to think it couldn't be done on retail.
I mean, maybe it won't work... I've seen crazier shit in my life, but chances are awful good it'll work fine.
>Can you respec?
No, attribute changes happen automatically on level up and can't be undone.
I think it's more likely that "BBI isn't affected by Hard Mode" is just a meme.
>never even heard of this game
>it looks like shadow of mordor with worse graphics and animation.
General tips for people:
>Sit your pawn down at an inn's chair, this will allow you to answer questions that changes their tactics and how often they talk (tell them to be quiet, please)
>You can switch between classes easily but when you level up your stats change based on your class, so if you want to be a magic user end-game don't spend 90% of the game as a fighter
>You can bring skills over from classes and mix and match, so getting a skill that reduces the fatigue from climbing an enemy then using it as an assassin is a good idea
>All classes are viable, but assassin is great in main game, magic archer in Dark Arisen
>Quests can be missed when certain story events happen. The game will typically make it clear when it will happen, but look up a guide if you're obsessive about that shit
>Night is more dangerous and is difficult to see during
>There is a ring you can get from a quest that will increase your casting speed but the quest asks you to give it to an npc. Instead, go get a copy forged. You'll miss out on a cloak or some shit though by doing this.
>Some items will rot, like eggs, so combine them with casks to preserve them.
Wolves hunt in packs
>There are a few figures/statues you can pick up in the game, don't sell them. There's also a quest to escort a little girl as she goes around the town. You can get the best statue, but only if you do it perfectly.
People swore that up and down on console too, until the game was data-mined to show conclusively that wasn't the case.
Hate to put it so bluntly, but I'd just happened to do Normal to Hard myself and it was the same as far as I could tell. Plus there's the absolute fact on console that BBI was unaffected.
>i want to go in blind, no pawn
why no pawn?
The game is built and balanced around a party. Of course you can do it solo but the pawns are a major feature of the game.
It's like if your first run through a Souls game was a soul level 1 build. Sure you can do it but shouldn't you save that type of thing for later?
>everybody but you
Like three people, one of whom has probably never played DD and two others who've probably never set their game to Hard.
>until the game was data-mined
I'm gonna need some citation on that.
Read the FAQ on Steam. A Capcom rep straight up says save swapping is possible, and that basically if you overwrite and lose your old pawn in the process that ain't their problem.
No the leak files are from the press preview copy, which might not be up to date to the real thing. Preload files are encrypted and stay encrypted until friday when valve turns on the decrypt switch.
I'm also more talking about the online part, usually when you create a character it registers your arisen and pawn with the main server, bound to your steam id. the pirate game does not have any information of your steam account in its save files but all the same info from the Crack group. I really doubt you can just simply copy and paste the save file. Think of console savegames, you can't just go to your buddys ps4 and copy his bloodborne save file and use it with your ps4, some internal information in the save file will be mismatched
>Quests can be missed when certain story events happen. The game will typically make it clear when it will happen, but look up a guide if you're obsessive about that shit
You can always just go to NG+. Nothing is really missable.
Why is Assassin the go to 'wow what a great class' when Strider and Ranger are stronger?
I don't have anything against Assassin and I understand that what classes people enjoy is subjective but almost every post in response to 'whats a good class' leads with Assassin and I don't get it. It's like 5th in terms of strength.
I purchased it for PS3, I then purchased Dark Arisen for PS3, which required re-buying the game. I have also pre-ordered the PC version and pirated the leak to play now while I wait, if I can transfer this save that'll be nice, otherwise I'll just start again.
I am 100% certain I am not alone in this exact situation and ones like it.
Best attack power growth I believe as well as Dire Gouge which does insane damage, especially when it hits a weak point. If you go daggers you can get the move that basically does haste then use the multi-hit attack which decimates enemies incredibly fast.
Strider and Ranger are great too, but in different ways. Assassin can do insane amounts of damage with very little effort as well as having a large variety of shit (Sword, Bow, Daggers, Shield).
Sure, just annoying to find out a quest with an important item was missed because you wanted to further the story.
>tell them to be quiet, please
You fucking monster. Always tell your pawn to be more talkative.
>Having three pawns all telling you about what goblins are weak to or how wolves hunt
>For the entire game
It's free supposing you already have online service which most people buy into regardless of the games. Do you consider the electric bill part of the cost of gaming or do you just fold it in as something you need to do?
Well Vanquish is a 3rd person shooter, of course it's gonna play better with mkb, if for nothing else then for the better acuracy and the fact that it would run at 60fps.
Dragon's Dogma is fine on a controller, pretty much any game where your dude turns and runs into the camera instead of backpeddaling when trying to move backwards and doesn't involve precision is better on a controller.
Brain Splitter does ludicrous dps, it destroys Dire Gouge which is the best Assassins got.
Ranger can tenfold + blast arrows which beats anything either Assassin or Strider can do, but it's not that fun.
Strider can also Hailstorm Volley + blast arrows for an aoe attack that uses
24blast arrows per shot
Strider can also use Thousand Kisses.
>I'm gonna need some citation on that.
Look under Hard Mode.
It confirms that damage is unaffected. Can't find a source for the other aspects of Hard Mode, but I am absolutely certain from experience on console and the lil' bit I've played PC that BBI is generally unaffected by Hard Mode.
It all depends on what you like. As a mage, you can cast tornados and stuff like that. Melee lets you wield a giant sword. And then there is mystic knight, which is basically Rave party: the class. I recommend that you try out all of them to find out which suits you best.
I play magic archer which is basically a mage with a magic bow. It was fun.
Can't say I know for sure which class does more damage, but Assassin does get the most attack power growth. Never built a character to be a strider, so maybe it is better.
Still, Assassins have a variety of weapons and moves which is fantastic to have.
>release is in 109 hours
>it's Friday 21:00 in my country
>only come back home on Thursday and have to leave on Sunday again for two weeks
>will have a day at the most to play
Fuck this, I'm pirating this as soon as I can.
Fucking hell, ever heard of compression?
What do you think of my Arisen and Pawn, /v/?
I'm always partial to making normal ones, making loli's and whatnot, while cute, kinda wrecks the feel of the game for me personally.
I always on hard from the beginning.
The doubled exp/gold gain more than makes up for the early game damage boost.
Once you slap on Warriors defense augment (you get it at rank 1 warrior i believe) you're good to go.
Honest to god if this is not one of the best Jap Game console ports ever, almost as if someone in Capcom actually have PC and play it actively.
I have installed the game and was ready to press uninstall because I believed game will be unplayable on key+m, that menus will be fucked up and general UI will suck or that they will do some other really dumb, small yet crucial bullshit.
I know its a last gen game but I have everything at max and graphics(i dont have toaster but it needs a little refreshment in GPU area (have GTX660 2Gb and i5 [email protected],8gb ddr3) are actually really decent for what they are, also, constant 60fps(and I believe it would go much higher if I didnt turn on v-sync).
Funny thing is, when I installed the game, it didnt want to run, it asked me for Windows Media Player, i was this close to just uninstall the game because I have Win10N(removed Cortana,Onecloud, all spyware bullshit), i have
downloaded WMP in half a minute, restarted PC and game run silky smooth [email protected]@ultra.
This is maybe only "beef" i have with this port.
By far one of the best Japanese ports in a long time and if you turn one eye blind on the whole dragon ate your heart thing, it is actually a nice little/big RPG.
Graphics make me wonder how good would games look on last gen hardware only if it was strong enough to run shit at [email protected], PS3 and X360 are probably most optimized machines in history, every trick, optimization, last ounce of strength has been squeezed from them.
Couple more tips:
>Fall damage WILL kill you if you're not careful. Yes, even if you do a double jump at the last moment. You'll just faceplant. Wanna see if a height will kill you? Throw your pawn!
>Deep water is death. If you're in shallow water and you start to see red around you you're going too far. Lanterns will also go out when you get soaked.
>Normal ogres will get excited when they see female characters, elder ogres will do the same when seeing men.
>In DA the gore left behind after killing enemies can attract bigger enemies. If the screen flashes and there's a music cue be careful.
>Eliminators don't fuck around. If you see a minotaur walking around be careful. If they knock you down then plant their foot on you and your pawns aren't on them instantly, you're basically dead.
>When you're in DA bring some kind of magic user or something. Enemies like Living Armor will be a problem otherwise.
>If you beat DA, go back through it again. You didn't actually beat it.
>If you fight and kill a dragonkin there's a chance for your equipment to get dragon-forged. Make sure to wear your best shit when fighting the final boss because it's guaranteed to upgrade everything you have. Consider putting a pawn's armor/weapons on temporarily when fighting dragonkin to upgrade their shit.
We don't know that yet, if you don't give a shit about playing with or other people tenderly throwing your pawn off a cliff it seems like a no brainer. If Capcom had the wisdom to regulate the review copy pawns to their own pawn server partition great if not it doesn't matter since it's still a singleplayer game with online features.
I finished it before the Hard Mode patch came out. It's tempting but the effectively reduced stamina is a pretty huge millstone.
I don't mind the increased damage and enemy health, though. I guess I'll give it a shot. You can always revert to normal, right?
>you can revert to normal right?
not that i'm aware of
I feel like i had plenty of stamina when i played on console on hard mode after leveling up. I can't imagine how much you must have on normal.
