I've pretty much finished installing everything that I need on my N3DS and have been enjoying some monhun but I still have two things nagging me.

1. After backing up, formatting and unlinking my nands all of my old ambassador/eshop stuff has vanished, not a huge deal but fbi still lists it in installed things

2. Can't launch GBA VC games even after applying the patch to my nand

Is it safe to play online? Especially with smash?

Go to SD card

SD:\Nintendo 3DS\25436f04129e561 folder

There should be two random number folders those two folders are sysnand and emunand

for both of those folders open them up and you will see a folder extdata add a folder 'dbs' along side it, so it should be like

J:\Nintendo 3DS\25436f046d49461\f6a6002544d\dbs

and in that dbs folder make two text file docs and rename them to 'import.db' and 'title.db'

do that for both of those random name files that are sysnand and emunand.

Next pop in that sd, launch into home menu and go to system settings, data management, nintendo 3ds, software

a error message pops up and it will automatically fix it and it should do it.

It's an installer that will with 3 clicks get you all the files you need for:

This, in turn means that developers will see slightly less value in the 3DS, as more and more people, the people we are educating here, also get CFW and free games.

This will make the 3DS a less appealing device to develop for.

Meaning that a pirate converting a non-pirate to pirating is really just reducing the odd that he will get more game to pirate in the future, right?

By helping you guys out ITT, I am actively reducing the odds that developers (and even Nintendo) will continue supporting the device I myself have for pirating.

How many people besides me do you think have reached this conclusion and are actively giving BAD advice? Face it, if you can't pirate, you're gonna' have to buy to play whatever game you want.

Meaning the non-pirate is supporting more games for the pirate.

I have 9.2, with an emunand and rxtools installed. browserhax and menuhax working more or less. FBI isn't loading up anymore. However my real concern is that I'm working from a 2gb card. I want to buy and use a 32gb soon. Will that be a difficult transfer in light of 10.4?

Ironhax is not for 9.3 I believe. Menuhax breaks when changing the theme and probably after downgrading. Use browserhax to get it back.

O3DS in 6.1 here, worth upgrading to 10.3 for the easy peasy installer? I used to have rxTools on it but I needed the memory card for something else and now It looks like a vanilla 6.1. Awakening sales went through the roof cause there was no "hacked" 3DS, also they censored the game.

Say what you will about everyone else, but I plan on purchasing another 3DS anyway. I want a New 3DS but not xl and NOA decided that we can't have any without importing a region locked console. I 'hacked' my 3DS so I could consolidate all of my games onto internal memory and not have to worry about carrying around a cartridge. I otherwise would not even be playing my 3DS without this and I probably would have sold it. When I hacked it, I downloaded a shit ton of games at least a year ago that I have yet to play anyway. There are some games that are impossible to get otherwise without pirating.

Also, the amount of people pirating versus the amount of people buying the games is still pretty minor. By the time most people hear of this hack they will have already updated to 10.4.

And one more thing: it may surprise you, but most people doing this are not that bright. There are a (well there were) a decent amount of bricks because people couldn't be assed to read the instructions at least once or download the proper files for their version of 3DS. I decided to update my N3DS, but I get an error message saying it was unable to update.

I was out on a trip during the entire weekend and I come back to this.

I have a 16GB SD Card and a 3DS XL that's upgraded to the latest firmware available, can I do this?

Okay guys this isn't a dumb question like usual.

Planning on buying a n3ds this Tuesday or Wednesday. It probably will be on something lower than 10.3. If I immediately block Nintendo's update servers, can I use an exploit to downgrade to 9.2 from say, 9.6? Also, if it's already on 10.3, could we use smealum's dns so I could open the browser without the update alert?

This is all assuming Nintendo patches it soon.

Does anyone have a link to theatrhythm curtain call as a .cia? USA/EUR are both fine. I just checked a ton of different 3dsiso threads and google links but was only able to download a .cia for the DLC and not the game itself. Any mega link for the game itself was taken down or .3ds.
