How do I access the pre-order art book stuff on Steam? It says not installed, but it gives me no option to install it. Is it not available until the 16th?
Also, Dragon's Dogma General.
Higher resolution, higher framerate, better graphical settings. Definitive version of the game. Bigger, longer term community.
FOV matters in third person too. See: Gears of War having a shit FOV.
Middle way is best but I use the lowest setting.
Back off, freaks. It's not a loli.
Average height of females if I'm not mistaken.
Holy shit, the Steam forum of DD is on full on rustled and assblasted
>Game gets leaked
>People post in-game screenshots
>"W-whatever, the game is full of malware which is going to kill your PC!"
>People post screenshots of scanning game files and shit
>"W-w-who cares. You only got the press release game. It's not the full game! There's no Bitterblack Isle"
It's nothing new that a game gets pirated. Why do you guys get so buttblasted that others are playing it for free?
>We’d love to hear the opinions and feedback from players of the upcoming PC port of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, as that will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series.
It'll only increase the chance, not make it happen 100%. Even if there was no PC port, a sequel could still happen.
>mfw already downloaded and installing the cracked version
Jesus fuck I finally found it thanks man
For others if they need it too
>want to buy it so more great games are ported to PC
>don't want to buy it because I'll be giving Capcom money
>they'll miss out on pawns which are the best part of the game
ayy le mayo
>Definitive version of the game
It's already missing the bonus hair options released with the original Dark Arisen and there's a new glitch where you can climb insode of Grigori on the first encounter.
Aren't pawns free if you get them from a Steam friend?
Is there a DD /v/ group for us to add each other?
It's just tweening senpai
I would if I wasn't a broke neet
but I can play Witcher 3 on ultra just fine and it also happened on dark souls 1
Tried everything to no avail, googled a bit and it seems that the windows installation could be fucked so I will try to format my pc later.
It got a bit better after cranking it up to max settings and fucking around on nvidia control panel but it's still pretty bad
Bought the pc before I lost my job
I don't know what class I want to be yet, should I just go with Strider for a while until I decide?
I'm leaning towards Assassin or Magick Archer
Do console pawns and PC pawns mix? Or are they on entirely separate servers?
I really don't care. I enjoy the game so much and have been dying to play it at a decent framerate since the original launch.
If they don't, then it gives me time to relearn the game.
If they do, awesome.
Any Piratefags here? I adjusted some graphics settings now I have a black screen? I just wanted to test it before it comes out since I preordered for the book/soundtrack. Any help so I can test this?
So what class do I fucking roll with?
ranger: pinpoint fucking sniping and minigun turret mode? sign me the fuck up
sorceror: fuck me up with spells senpai. you just fucking wait til i get this spell off. its gonna hurt so bad, you just fucking wait.
warrior: im gonna hit you so hard you wish i hadnt hit you so hard
magick archer: i'm literally cheating
mystic knight: I still have no idea what's going on with this class.
Which do I pick? They all sound cool and I dont wanna gimp my stat growth or whatever.
Words that kill.
What the fuck do you even do. Is it like entirely counter-based? And this great cannon thing is finicky as shit. like what the hell
Eh, still not super keen on the whole assassin aesthetic either, but i see what you're talking about. jack of all trades and whatnot.
So /v/, who do you plan on being your beloved?
Though, you'll probably end up with Fournival somehow
What? It's a valid question. Do they have one pool of pawns that are shared between all versions, or do they store PC and PS pawns separately? They could have done it either way.
I suck at character creation. I always spend hours making a character and then delete it and make another almost immediately afterwards in games like these.
Not exactly anon, assassin has the best offensive stat growth in the game. They are actually a master of one thing and that's murder. Sounds like you're not that into it though so try warrior or mystic knight maybe.
Mystic knights all about getting a mage to imbue your shit with elements and then fucking shit up. You have a better counter as mystic knight that fucks shit up, and that cannon barrage is devastating. Its a weird class to play, but when you get it you feel like a badass.
You can just use the values shared by other people.
That anon is a bit wrong, IIRC the barber is just hairstyles. Now, there are items you can buy for Rift Crystals from a vendor in the Encampment. One item allows you do remake your pawn and yourself, once. The other allows you to do it infinitely.
Yeah it looks neat but I'm not a big fan. That being said, I don't know what I'm a fan of exactly. They all look cool in their own ways and shit.
So you're basically MAGIC+FIST=WRECK EM. Hm. Might be neat though. It's a strong contender if ever i get a fucking chance to figure it out..
Sorceror seems neat but I'm a pirate and likely to die more than necessary. Bows in this game look fucking splendid, so I'm liking ranger a ton since I play bow characters a lot in rpgs.
Warrior seems neat but I'm hearing it's all bang and no buck. So I guess...
Top dog is Mystic Knight and Ranger? Those are completely different.
Mystic knight is fucking amazing but I'd say they're the most advanced class in the game, once you get it though you'll rain magical death from all corners while you simultaneously beat your enemies to a pulp. Ranger is literally a one-man waterfall of arrows, probably my 2nd favorite class.
MA isn't gimped, they're just weaker than the other classes because of their HOMING SHOT. That being said, there's a lot of bonuses to being MA because you always have the right element for the right job. So you just match your styles to weaknesses.
>Holy shit, the Steam forum of DD is on full on rustled and assblasted
I guess it *takes* a person that can obtain it early or easily to not give a fuck. I have it preordered, but I could play it right now if I wanted. Then again, I'm not an impatient man baby. I'm a man baby, just not an impatient one.
Was the game leaked?
I am too busy anyway with Underrail so Ill just wait for friday.
The class itself and its skills are baller as fuck, the problem is the stat growth. They are truly jack-of-all-trades masters of none. Consider leveling sorcerer for a while and then switching to MA.
MA is shit in the main game, best class in the DLC. The reasons are:
Shit skills for bow in outdoors but god tier indoors because of Ricochet Shot
Shit dagger and staff skills in general
Sorcerer is good if you know how to play. How Sorcerer works is, if there is Sorcerer A casting a spell that is 80% done, Sorcerer B starts casting the same spell and it starts at 80%. It's a pretty opportunistic class because spells can take upwards of 40 seconds to cast and you are very vulnerable during that time. Enemies generally don't let you cast for that long, so spell-syncing is very important.
Magick Archer is my favorite class, though. It's fun to blast through the game with one but it can be kinda boring because it's pretty easy.
Yeah, I played MA for my first character back on the PS3 and I had fun up until the point where i realized how easy I had it. The homing bullshit and the elemental weakness shit makes you a god of death.
Yeah, same here. Once I killed Daimon and then Death with fucking dogshit gear, I realized it was a bit much. Haven't played the game since. Very excited to play Mystic Knight with >8 FPS.
Most of the game is open world, but there are several dungeon type places. But nowhere near as cookie cutter as TES. It's basically 'what if we made Dark Souls combat actually fun instead of bullshit trial and error?' and then slapped you in a high fantasy world to play around in sandbox style (almost)
Nigga no shit they stated that.
It's fucking capcom, they'd probably sell children and mothers to slavery if they could get away with it.
Until now every system has been separate.
That is how it should be so people are hiring each other's pawns as everyone levels up instead of the wasteland of abandoned pawns that the consoles have.
If pre-purchace this (or any game on steam) the 14 day timer for returning it doesn't kick in until it has actually been released right?
Its sad people dont realize 3d person fantasy games where a thing before Souls.
Then again to start the storm, DD is more like Devil may cry and with that solid capcom gameplay has learned over the years to do.
Its nothing like Dark Souls
Dark Souls' combat is slower and more methodical, which fits into the level design. Dragon's Dogma's combat is more free form and action driven. They're really not that similar.
>Capcom isn't that bad of a developer
>Capcom aren't THAT shit.
I'll be able to see how well it runs on my old computer in less than 2 hours.
Not yet. Preload's done, I'm just waiting for the official release.
Did I make the sky too blue?
You probably have to use the skill yourself first so that they'll catch onto the idea. I don't know. I once hired a pawn that did that, she would launch me into enemies even when I didn't want to. It wasn't very useful but pretty funny
It's literally color correction in this case.
>Dragon's Dogma has perfect colors!!
You'll be fine. I'm pretty sure shadows has the largest performance hit so drop that if you don't get 60fps.
I launched the game with steam overlay and just used that.
Of course you only do that if you like to live dangerously.
Should I get this? Or Warhammer: Vermintide? I have played all the Souls games minus BB, but not Monster Hunter, Skyrim, and other games people compare Dogma to. But I'm also a huge fan of co-op games (I have every achievement in Payday 2) and it's technically my favorite genre. (Co-op, that is)
I can only buy one.
I just downloaded Fraps instead.
Yeah, I know about the photo mode but I don't like the stuff they add on top of the image once you take one.
Besides, I can't find where the game saves the images.
C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\CAPCOM\DRAGONS DOGMA DARK ARISEN
and the DDDA\Profile\<Profile name>\Screenshots folder
No screenshots saved in either of those folders, so I just got Fraps in the end.
The game had a HD texture pack for consoles. But it came separate from the game.
It might be included in the PC game by default, but if not it'll probably require a separate download like it did on consoles.
You'll probably get more out of DD, it has one of the best combat systems in RPG's that I've ever seen.
But Vermintide is fun as long as you have friends to play with, the playerbase is minimal.
the top one in the pasta here, byt I'm still updating it. That one looks okay but there's too much red so I'm removing that right now.
>Dragon's Dogma has perfect colors!!
how the fuck do i roll
is it a skill? how do i get it? i'm playing a strider
sorry for being retarded
using a gamepad
>Q) How many hairstyles are available in the PC version? [*NEW* Jan.8]
>A) There are 62 total. PC version includes all previously released hairstyles, including the DLC add-on that was released on the console. There are also 42 facial hair styles to choose from.
Inafune left the month after MML3 was announced and started development, he barely had anything to do with it.
What it is was Capcom's regular practices of killing a creator's IP after they leave the company and thats why there hasn't been Megaman for so many years now despite the resurgence just before inafune left. The Tsujimoto brothers are giant cocksuckers who have done this repeatedly over the years.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that most of my friends have terrible taste and play garbage like CS:GO and LoL, so I'd be playing Vermintide mostly by myself.
Can someone post the best webms you have that showcase the game?
I want to prove my redditor friend that this game is good.
dagger core skill
You can kill birds, rabbits, and other rodents by throwing stones at them.
Gib link to leaked version please. I need to check if my toaster can handle it before purchasing it. Torrenting from kat takes forever.
Cool, just needed to hear if it was possible. Guess I'll drill her some more. She was quick to catch onto everything else though.
Can you teach them to throw monsters down cliffs? Because so far I haven't seen it happen and I've been doing it every chance I get.
because port stones
>just pirated it
>playing for the first time
>explore like a motherfucker
>already been there once, without port crystals on me, before the griffin quest
>already met that dragonforged guy and been through the watergod's before Max's quests
at least I could skip those last 2
they are both pieces of equipment
I played this game on 360, but I seem to be having more trouble with the PC version. I feel so under leveled, no matter what I do. I'm level 13 and the quests I have are all too hard for me. All of my pawns are the same level as me, and I have the best equipment that could be bought at Grand Soran. This is my first play through as a mage, and now I've gone into sorcerer, but for some reason everything kicks my ass. What area/ quest am I supposed to be right after grand Soran? If I go back and try to save the girl in Witchwood the wolves there are too strong. If I try and find the grimoire, the bandits are too strong and if I try and go below the pawn place the skele's are too strong. What am I doing wrong?
Tips for Mystic Knights
Prescience aug from fighter class make perfect block/counters much more easier to do.
Articulacy aug from sorcerer and the wyrmking ring reduce the casting time of every spell by around 30%.
Dark/Abyssal anguish increase range and damage for physical weapon/attacks for a short while.
Magick/Great cannon shoots homing projectiles everytime anyone, ally or enemy, attack it. Together with Ruineous Sirgil, you can just stand back and watch the enemy hurt/kill himself.
For elemental counters and enchantements, i recommand fire and holy for main game and Everfall. Ice and lightning for Bitterblack isle.
Stone grove/forest is a powerful AoE, but too long casting time to use it safely without an opening.
Demonwrath is a very powerful counter if you can perfect block often and manage to land it.
Holy furor is a very large AoE holy spell thats give infinite stamina for the full duration of the spell. You can chain several Holy furor together if you cast fast enough. Downside is low damage, rarely stagger foes and you and your pawn lose all stamina when the spell ends.
Pawn composition is just as important as your class skills. Skeletons are weak to holy, so bring either something with a holy weapon or holy spell. The grimoire quest is tough, and so is the Witch one. I'd say to do the quest in the Pawn's Guild and then go fuck around to the west of Gran Soren.
So just explore around and grind? Is this version any different from the 360? Maybe I'm just playing the sorcerer wrong, but as an Assassin I never had any trouble with the game.
And just grind things out? I don't remember this game being something I had to actively grind in, but maybe I'm wrong.
It looks objectively better.
They also give the most AP or whatever so there's good incentive to kill wildlife.
What is your party right now? If you're a mage, you're probably best just fielding a combination of 3 striders and fighters. If you wanna do the wolves, just spam High/Ingle on them and it should fuck their shit up. If you're on about the wolf pack outside of a cave, before the huge boulder, that's the easiest part of the quest. The bandits shortly after are retardedly OP.
You could just grind your vocation level so you can unlock more OP spells. You could also go to some of the higher level places, run the fuck through looting chests and hope to get some OP gear. A place called "Soulflayer Canyon" has pretty high level gear and is simple enough to run through. If you don't wanna do that, try the bounty boards inside the Inn in GS.
Will I ever need to use staves as MK? I always miss the range when I play as a non bow class. I always see MK with maces but I prefer swords, are they better? Is it worth wasting a slot for the party-wide elemental boon if I know most of the enemies around have that weakness? Thanks in advance.

Its still quite amazing what Capcom pulled off with the last gen, and what they could pull off with a good pc game.
Fuck what a great game. Would love for a proper sequel more Conan Sword and Sorceryish this time.
>lost 4 level ups and an hour fight that I won with a forest chimera because I slid off a cliff and didn't trigger an auto save since I stepped foot in that forest 3 hours ago.
I think I remember why I never finished the game on ps3. Just wana curl up and cry.
Fuck, I forgot about the bounty board. My party is currently 1 tank, 1 fighter and a strider. I don't really want to cheese the game and run through gathering gear. I'll give the bounty board a go. Thanks.
>It looks objectively better.
Are you autistic? I think you're autistic.
Post processing does shit all besides adding a fucking instagram filter smeared all over your screen. You should probably kill yourself if you think that looks good.
But dat fight doe
It was a good fight. Fucking wolves kept running up out of nowhere and pin someone down for the chimera to pounce. It was awesome but fucking hell I don't really want to do it again.
>You should do some colour grading.
Don't know how to do it well for games since they change so often.
Why are you this mad that my game looks better than yours? It doesn't even make sense for you to be acting out like this.
>mount an ogre
>sorcerer casts fulmination
>ogre getting stabbed to death while getting electrified
You have to make lolis from the heart, anon. Don't follow a guide.
There are like 2 face types that even work for lolis, 27 and 28 if I'm not mistaken.
Lower the eyes all the way and make them big.
Viola, you have a loli face.
I've only experienced events like that in modded games.
>I'm very mad
>that you're subtly adjusting 1's and 0's
So you are the autistic one...
Anyone figure out what the control is to cast boons on yourself with keyboard?
Been mashing buttons for 10 minutes trying to figure it out, no luck.
I have worse specs and it's running between 35 and 60 fps on I think maxed out settings.
Core 2 duo E8400 3.2 ghz
gtx 750 ti
And it's a small form factor case so it has a custom psu with 240w.
I wish developers had good color in their games, I truly do. This gen is terrible with all the shit filters and horrible color palettes. Demons Souls looks better than Dark Souls 3 because of nonsensical gray and brown tonemaps.
will share a few images.
fuck it's so hard to force myself to wait a few days more...
i don't wanna progress too far. i hate re-doing shit.
I can give one story as to why Mystic Knight is going to be great fun for me again this playthrough. Mystic Knight's shield counter is fucking boss. I believe it's the same as fighter's counter (time it right and it negates damage) but Mystic Knight imbues their shields with magic. This can be things like Fire to deal with beasts, Ice to freeze lesser enemies, and even Torpor to slow shit down. I had my first encounter with a Drake about 15 levels underleveled and being a Mystic Knight saved me from fucking my shit up. I Torpor'ed my shield and went to town on this motherfucker for 2 in game days (that's how long the fucking fight lasted). Pawns were dying left and right and I would rescue them whenever they got knocked down. The fact that I could deflect any attack this Drake sent my way and watching him slow down was so fucking satisfying. Regardless, it was an intense battle and I died a lot (and was helped up by my pawn) but if I had been literally anything else but Mystic Knight I would have had my shit pushed in.
tl;dr Mystic Knight saved me from Drake cock when I was so and so levels underleveled.
I dont know. Severance I guess.
Icewind Dale. Old rpgs.
Classic Fantasy is kinda dying compared to the tons of over the top korean MMO bullshit and Game of Thrones dirtiness.
Japan always has to invoke some Divine Cybermancy, its consoles after all.
This game is the biggest load of fake fucking faggot difficulty I've ever seen.
>random quests given to player even though the player's level is nowhere near appropriate to have a chance of completion
>Dark Arisen quest is given right from the start without informing the player that the first pack of mobs one shots you. enjoy
>random merchant wants an escort to an encampment from the capitol
>sure, how bad could it be
>3+day in-game trek with 2 giant attacks and a manticore
>nearly 3/4 of the way to his destination
>quest just randomly fails and the dude vanishes
how can you be sure of that?
Schoolproject password is wolveshuntinpacks, right? If so, why the fuck does it keep telling me it's the wrong password? No caps, no spaces and it keeps saying a bunch of files then "wrong password?" after it.
how do i remove that stupid unnecessary piece of clothing?
>Dark Arisen quest is given right from the start without informing the player that the first pack of mobs one shots you. enjoy
it doesn't appear until level 25, at which point you will be fine, nice blog post though i guess
Using staves allow you the get some treasure chests you would not get otherwise, hover ability and the block of ice from Frigor you can use as a stepping stone.
Comestion spell is very powerful early game if you have a decent staff.
Sword deals slash damage while mace deals crush/bludgeon damage. Living enemies tend to resist crush more than slash, reversed for undeads.
The game has no level scaling of any kind. Due to this you can wander into high level areas and accept quests way too difficult for you to complete.
I know it's a strange sensation, but just come back and do that stuff later on when you're better prepared for it.
>I died a lot (and was helped up by my pawn)
Does this actually happen?
I've died at least five times and I always end up with the game asking me to retry after 2 seconds. Haven't been saved once, always running with a full squad.
Any video showcasing the Japanese voices? Just want to see what I'm missing out on
I wish Dogma had combat more similar to Dark Souls. In Dark Souls, if you just press buttons without thinking, the very first enemy destroys you; in Dragon's Dogma I've been handling fight by mashing buttons non-stop for first few hours without any repercussions. Dogma's combat is a lot like Witcher's.
A wide palette of accurate colors.
I might remember it wrong then. Last time I played was maybe 2 years ago. I remember having a few wakestones though and those revive you if you fall. I also made sure my pawn had a few in case I was downed.
Now the question is... do i make my guy a little shota or loli and my pawn a thick amazon or muscleman
>Using staves allow you the get some treasure chests you would not get otherwise
Maces and swords also have that skill where the guy leaps forward, but I don't think the character will grab onto ledges when you use it though. But it's pretty cool how many different ways there are to get air, like using double jump and sunflare which is basically a triple jump
Why do you think colors need to be accurate or even of a wide variety to be considered 'good'?
There is such a thing as art style and aesthetics intended by the developers and artists.
It's ok. Apparently people still get occasional framedrops at 1080p using a GTX770 and an i7 4770K so it's not exactly the "MT Framework magic runs at 85135825FPS on a toaster!!!!!" performance that people were shilling here but it's not bad.
You should change him into a pale ginger
I'm pretty sure that if you have wakestones on you, it'll ask you if you want to use a wakestone when you die or it might use it automatically. If you pawn has wakestones they'll 100% use it on you if you hit 0 hp. You'll start seeing a lot of shards later on and you only need 3 to make an actual wakestone.
I have a 21:9 monitor.
piratedthe game to test it out. My fears were confirmed when the game started up 2160x1080 and when I go ahead to change it in the menu, I can't see a "Confirm Changes" button and I fear it's at the bottom of the screen which I can't reach. What do?
This is what I've done on my ps3.
Make Amazon, make Loli pawn, make loli pawn exclusively for rent only for thirsty men, fill the group with shotas.
I don't regret it and my loli pawn always brought home nice gifts.
The map is pretty big, there's just not very much in it so you run through it pretty fast. Plus it kinda funnels you through certain paths. But if you stop somewhere to look around, places are actually quite far away
The atmosphere feels a lot alike.
Among all other games out lately, Dogma is much closer to Souls than almost all others.
In any case, it doesn't need to be even similar in atmosphere to just adopt the same combat system - where you fight by reacting to what your enemy does, instead of repeatedly pressing buttons.
You can change your main character and pawn after you buy the secret of metarmophosis with rift crystals.
unfortunately you'll have to farm a bit
>If you pawn has wakestones they'll 100% use it on you if you hit 0 hp
No, anon. You just get the same screen with "use a wakestone?" Though IIRC, when you use one from a pawn's inventory, it does play an animation of them using it, instead of you just standing up normally.
The game always asks you if you want to use a wakestone or retry, regardless of who has the stone. It's probably a good idea to have at least one on yourself too in case your pawn dies somehow
You can't really button mash in Dragon's Dogma. The fight system is way more decentralized, it feels like you're giving commands instead of actually playing your character. So I know that you pretty much haven't played this.
Aha, okay. That's what I get for trying to give information when I can't remember. Thanks.
Played for two hours. I'm comparing first two hours of Dogma to first two hours of Dark Souls. My impression so far is in DD you press buttons to win, in DS you have to react to what the enemy does to win.
I think it's pretty good.
How'd you switch the resolution? I've tried just changing my resolution on my actual computer and opening it up but it opens to the previous resolution so now it's just a huge fuckery.
>The atmosphere feels a lot alike.
Maybe BBI but come the fuck on, Anon.
>My impression so far is in DD you press buttons to win, in DS you have to react to what the enemy does to win.
Oh fuck right off.
God damn it, why is it always the Dark Souls faggots that feel the need to compare their shit to everything else?
>shit on other games
You are so absorbed in your hate that you can't even read posts properly. All I did was give my impressions of two combat systems. I didn't even say one is better than the other, I said I personally would prefer the other.
Go ahead and try smashing buttons against the first Drake you encounter.
In Souls literally all you have to do is memorize patterns, combat in DD is much more reactive and dynamic.
Depends on what you fight. Eventually, the combat becomes strongly dependent on using specific tactics against specific monsters. Like, climbing on and stabbing an eye, and stuff like that.
Because it happens all the time. You must not be from around here.
"Man Dark Souls sure is great. I wish this game unrelated to Dark Souls had the same combat though" is fucking everywhere and it's annoying as fuck.
I love dark souls, but the comparisons you're making are completely unfair and biased.
>all you do is hit buttons to win
I'm not a shill but it's clear what you're implying.
I have not encountered any drakes yet. I'm only talking about first few hours. I fought some huge ogre thing, Manticore at the start and Hydra. Defeated first two by just standing behind them and pressing attack.
It's interesting comparing some encounters in the games. Like the hydras, in Dark Souls you will wait for it to do the lunge, roll or block it and chop at the heads for a couple seconds. In DD you will probably climb the heads. Very different styles, DD is more freeform. There's so many ways to fight a cyclops too, whereas in DS you chip at the ankles. On the other hand common mobs are probably less interesting in DD
>all you do is hit buttons to win
That's how the game is for me so far. I did not imply it, I said it directly. It's an objective observation of the gameplay I had so far, so don't call it flinging shit.
>unfair and biased.
But there is no need to personally get upset about this. It is unfair and biased because DS combat is liked by many, but this is in no way your fault.
I found that hard mode was pretty shortlived too. At level 30 most enemies stopped doing any damage again, the system is odd. Large enemies like chimeras will still rape you but that has the potential to make the encounters less interesting because it's too risky to jump onto them if you don't have wakestones
>in DS you have to react to what the enemy does to win.
No you don't lol
If you actually liked Dark Souls you'd know there's 101 shortcuts to easy combat, magic being the most glaring one.
I thought it was well-known very old games had a limited color selection. Some games chose a good color scheme and used the limitations to create something memeorable, while some games looked like garbage.
So the fight with Hydra. I pressed F. Then held W for a while. Then mashed attack. Then the fight was over. You're using the word freeform, but the way I see it it was completely non-interactive.
You open a music player like foobar2000 and play music on it. You can even put INTO FREE on loop so you can listen to it outside the menu
>I did not imply it, I said it directly
The implication was that hitting buttons to win is bad.
I didn't say you were flinging shit, I said you were one of the many annoying people that always brings dark souls up.
You may not be from here so you don't get it.
>But there is no need to personally get upset about this
>but this is in no way your fault.
Are you high?
>Defeated first two by just standing behind them and pressing attack
Literally Dark Souls
But unlike Dark Souls, this game actually gets better after 2 hours instead of edging towards rushed content.
Give it more time, the combat does get more engaging as your skill roster and monster gallery diversifies.
>Give it more time
I've been waiting for the game for years, of course I will play it to the end. Even if the combat so far is less than what I expected, it's still a wonderful game.
I don't know what those buttons do. But what I mean is that in Souls every fight basically boils down to rolling and punishing. There's more things that can happen in DD with a cyclops for instance, you could disarm it, shoot its eye, cling onto a leg to make it fall over and so on. Both games are fun though
The thing is, to do damage in DS, you have to react what the enemy does, which makes it interactive and a very strong gameplay element. And to do damage in DD you just have to choose your way of doing it and activate it. It's visual eye-candy, but it's just pretty, not part of actual gameplay.
