Mystic knight is fucking amazing but I'd say they're the most advanced class in the game, once you get it though you'll rain magical death from all corners while you simultaneously beat your enemies to a pulp. Ranger is literally a one-man waterfall of arrows, probably my 2nd favorite class.

MA isn't gimped, they're just weaker than the other classes because of their HOMING SHOT. That being said, there's a lot of bonuses to being MA because you always have the right element for the right job. So you just match your styles to weaknesses.

MA is shit in the main game, best class in the DLC. The reasons are:

Shit skills for bow in outdoors but god tier indoors because of Ricochet Shot
Shit dagger and staff skills in general

Sorcerer is good if you know how to play. How Sorcerer works is, if there is Sorcerer A casting a spell that is 80% done, Sorcerer B starts casting the same spell and it starts at 80%. It's a pretty opportunistic class because spells can take upwards of 40 seconds to cast and you are very vulnerable during that time. Enemies generally don't let you cast for that long, so spell-syncing is very important.

Magick Archer is my favorite class, though. It's fun to blast through the game with one but it can be kinda boring because it's pretty easy.

I played this game on 360, but I seem to be having more trouble with the PC version. I feel so under leveled, no matter what I do. I'm level 13 and the quests I have are all too hard for me. All of my pawns are the same level as me, and I have the best equipment that could be bought at Grand Soran. This is my first play through as a mage, and now I've gone into sorcerer, but for some reason everything kicks my ass. What area/ quest am I supposed to be right after grand Soran? If I go back and try to save the girl in Witchwood the wolves there are too strong. If I try and find the grimoire, the bandits are too strong and if I try and go below the pawn place the skele's are too strong. What am I doing wrong?

Basic ammo is infinite but there are special arrows (explosive, oil, some others) that are finite.

Tips for Mystic Knights

Prescience aug from fighter class make perfect block/counters much more easier to do.

Articulacy aug from sorcerer and the wyrmking ring reduce the casting time of every spell by around 30%.

Dark/Abyssal anguish increase range and damage for physical weapon/attacks for a short while.

Magick/Great cannon shoots homing projectiles everytime anyone, ally or enemy, attack it. Together with Ruineous Sirgil, you can just stand back and watch the enemy hurt/kill himself.

For elemental counters and enchantements, i recommand fire and holy for main game and Everfall. Ice and lightning for Bitterblack isle.

Stone grove/forest is a powerful AoE, but too long casting time to use it safely without an opening.

Demonwrath is a very powerful counter if you can perfect block often and manage to land it.

Holy furor is a very large AoE holy spell thats give infinite stamina for the full duration of the spell.You can chain several Holy furor together if you cast fast enough. Downside is low damage, rarely stagger foes and you and your pawn lose all stamina when the spell ends.

Pawn composition is just as important as your class skills. Skeletons are weak to holy, so bring either something with a holy weapon or holy spell. The grimoire quest is tough, and so is the Witch one. I'd say to do the quest in the Pawn's Guild and then go fuck around to the west of Gran Soren.

Sorceror is brokenly overpowered.

It's not the spells, it's holy ficused bolts default attack. You can kill Daimon in about 6-8 hits with the right sorc gear.

What is your party right now? If you're a mage, you're probably best just fielding a combination of 3 striders and fighters. If you wanna do the wolves, just spam High/Ingle on them and it should fuck their shit up. If you're on about the wolf pack outside of a cave, before the huge boulder, that's the easiest part of the quest. The bandits shortly after are retardedly OP.

You could just grind your vocation level so you can unlock more OP spells. You could also go to some of the higher level places, run the fuck through looting chests and hope to get some OP gear. A place called "Soulflayer Canyon" has pretty high level gear and is simple enough to run through. If you don't wanna do that, try the bounty boards inside the Inn in GS.
