I haven't played the first 2 fallouts so I don't know about them but I would think that the courier would have the securitrons (and maybe the families) as help while the lone wanderer would have the lyon's pride as backup and the sole survivor would have his power armor and the minutemen
>has to find the asshole who shot him in the head twice >either have to take down two (or three) armies or convince them to get the fuck off Hoover Dam >gets his caravan ambushed by a bunch of Great War survivor descendants, and is thrown in the middle of two tribes conflicting >had to punch ghost people with bear traps, endure toxic clouds, and fight security holograms for a former scribe of BoS >gets his heart, spine, and brain ripped out of him and turns into a cyborg in OWB >fight an army of Deathclaws, Tunnelers, and Marked Men in The Divide
I'd say Courier, but Sole Survivor has like weapons and armor that don't degrade
>>323488607 You're really underestimating the Securitrons, IIRC the Courier has enough of them to cover the entirety of Outer Vegas and then some. So yeah, the BoS would have some trouble getting through them, and that's not even counting the amount of firepower the Boomers lend him.
A pretty good toss up between the Sole Survivor and the Courier.
One was trained in Pre War Special Forces, and fought the Chinese, as well as already knowing how to use power armor and most guns, and presumably hand to hand combat, not to mention his probably tip top physical shape.
Not much is known about the Courier, but if we're going off the beginning of both games, he doesn't have access to Power Armor, but at the same time to be a fucking mailman in the wasteland, especially one who pretty much brings destruction wherever they go, you have to be pretty able to take care of yourself. And he's immune to headshots. Probably.
After that we have 2 coddled Vault Dwellers and a stupid Tribal. (I don't care how good your drug trip rituals are, they can't beat Power Armor and Plot Armor.)
Alright lads, just started playing FO4. Any way to increase the brightness without having to go into windows' settings and altering gamma globally? Because I can't see jack fucking shit and I keep having to awkwardly go into VATS and then out of it just so that it highlights the enemies for me
>>323489772 at what? Securitrons are vastly better at their job: namely security and frontline infantry Sure Coursers are better at stealth but Securitrons weren't build for stealth Courier wants that he can get nightkin to help
>>323489543 >they didn't take the Knights into consideration Wouldn't a Securitron be at least one or two tiers below a Sentry Bot? I don't see a properly mobilized BoS having problems with House's Army even with Boomers behind them.
>>323489543 >he trusted a mailman for no logical reason House probably had guessed a favorable percentage indicating that The Courier wouldn't betray him. Too bad Mr. House didn't factor in the fact that The Courier was actually being controlled by an otherworldly force.
>>323489993 Yes-Man has full control over House's systems, and the ability to jump into any RobCo robot There is absolutely no way the brotherhood's jury rigging is going to stand up against a full scale hack by the RobCo mainframe
Bringing liberty prime to vegas is about the worst tactical move the BoS could possibly do
>>323490280 >House probably had guessed a favorable percentage indicating that The Courier wouldn't betray him. House guessed wrong with Benny and he didn't even let him in close, but he lets in the courier after knowing him for like a week.
Honestly the plot in NV is pretty damn silly at times.
>>323489803 House could probably hack coursers and liberty prime from a distance senpai Not to mention that no amount of power armored terrorists can last more than an hour exposed to the Cloud and holograms
>>323490204 nope, they're above Sentry Bot level due to their dual rocket launchers combined with a grenade launcher also its not lone sentry bot vs BoS ambush, its BoS being outnumbered 20 to 1 by things equipped with rocket launchers
and boomers have long range weapons that are canonically capable of oneshotting fully armored BoS knights
Fallout 1 and 3 - sheltered cry-babies who grew up in a vault Fallout 4 - 1950s-like husband who's completely out of place Fallout: NV - a retard with amnesia Fallout 2 - a violent savage who's been killing radscorpions with his bare hands since he was a child
>>323490389 >House guessed wrong with Benny Even a 10% chance can happen. Not saying the that was the percentage exactly, but I think of House as a robot - like P.A.M. He calculates likelihoods into neat numbers. Sometimes, data is wrong.
>>323490162 >can improve special stats at will >low stats mean nothing, high stats also mean nothing >companions go past 10 into ridiculous territory Why do they even have SPECIAL if they're going to shit all over it?
>>323490980 Courier has been traveling the most dangerous areas of the wasteland for a living at least a decade or two sure husband may have combat experience but courier's experience has vastly more practical application
>>323495240 >vault dweller>chosen one What? The only thing Vault Dweller has over Chosen One are Stealth Boys and the ability to access inventory with just 1AP if you get all three ranks of the perk. And maybe Mental Block perk or that mental attack blocking stuff you put on your head.
Also: >shit survivor Just because you dislike Bethesda doesn't mean the character is weak. In fact, he is pretty much McGuyver of the Fallout universe.
Gotta say he is a pretty strong contender. Not only has 5 other guys to help, but also in his/her game you can literally get a Gauss minigun. Or M2HB with depleted uranium ammo.
Oh, and let's not forget the vehicles. Scout car/Hummer/APC/Sherman tank, basically all you need for attack/scouting/troop transport. Oh, and if someone hides in a Vault, then he/she can blow up the door with a nuke carrier.
>>323478693 From a gameplay perspective it's either the Sole Survivor or Lone Wanderer.
Bethesda just flat out doesn't care about character balance. Hence the bobble-heads, books, and perks every level. The PC's in 3 & 4 become gods incarnate of the wasteland capable of any feat.
Meanwhile the other games limit your growth more, requiring nuanced builds allowing your character to be good at only a handful of skills. The PC's of those titles are still very capable but they have to play to their strengths.
haven't played any Fallout, about to start the first one, now what should i expect ? i know nothing about the series and don't plan on learning nothing more than the game teaches me will i have a fulfillling experience or more background is needed in order to properly play the game ?
Vault dweller and Choosen one are completely fucked since one crit is enough to kill them even if they have the best armor avaiable to them. FO3 guy is just inferior to the endless money of Courier or the non existing level cap with the sole survivor.
Sole survivor has by far the strongest power armor, in every other game they are just a tad stronger than normal armor, except for new vegas where the power armor is worse than the best avaiable normal armor.
Sole survivor would be basically invincible. Nothing could kill him fast enough for him to not be able to just heal himself and go on. Only way I can see Courier winning is by his huge advantage in having almost unlimited resources and the sole survivor running out way faster. But by the time resources would be a problem the courier would be probably long dead.
