No. There is no reason for it not to be more powerful, but this is Nintendo. They are bigger Jews when it comes to hardware than ACTUAL Jews. Expect something barely more powerful than the Wii U. The bonus will be that it hopefully won't rely on a horrible tablet with a battery life of only a couple of hours.

Don't get me wrong. If it is barely more powerful than the Wii U, has no mandatory gimmick hardware, has improved online that actually allows you to interact with others in something other than a police state, and get some god damn decent games, then I'm all aboard buying it. The Wii U is powerful enough for decent vidya.

Also, I'm hoping the NX leads to a new handheld with at least a 720p screen or close to it. 720p is cheap as mother fucking shit right now so there is no reason for them to keep fucking gimping their handheld by that much...

That said, I worry for the NX. I imagine it will be "ok" at best. Probably have a library similar to the Wii u. Which is fine by me. But it won't sell huge numbers and it won't let Nintendo live to its fullest potential. No third party will want to develop for two systems, and knowing Nintendo, they're going to implement the whole thing poorly.

There'll be three good games that don't rely on gimmicks at all, just like the Wii u and Wii before it.

Did the same. I was really pissed at Nintendo for having so little WiiU news at almost every recent direct. It's always either amiibo shit or 3ds.
