Between the Genesis and the SNES, which
sound chipdid you prefer?
Depends. Most times it's the SNES chip, hands down.
Although sometimes you've just gotta get that genesis twang.
Yeah pretty much this.
I think we can all agree that the SNES chip is objectively better.
But that didn't stop good composers from making great tunes.
Genesis was hit and miss. You could get some really cool grungy sounds out of that sound chip, but then you got cases like Doom that sounded like pic related.
SNES was more consistently good, but usually not amazing unless it was Mega Man X.
