Why hasent Akiyama put a ring on her edition
Haruka's chapter took a surprisingly long time to get dark.
I think the two are a married couple in Ishin so there's that atleast
has anyone watched this movie?
trailer says it's about Jackie Chen vs Yakuza in Kabukicho.
looks so fun
So I just bought 4 yesterday, any tips? Also should I also get five, how is it?
Watch the Reminisce Mode summaries of the previous games from the title menu so that you're not entirely lost on the setting and shit
5 follows on from what 4 establishes, so if you enjoy 4 then yeah give 5 a look
>Shinada's head + wall slam heat move does fuck-all damage compared to all his other heat moves that look nowhere near as brutal
Is it something you can equip? if so then it sounds like it's supposed to be something that impresses hostesses
though that's bugged in 5 and they never notice anything you have equipped in the game
hope she still looks cute in 6
I saw it a long time ago and remember liking it. I'm sure what type of movie you think it is but it's not "whacky martial arts movie against Yakuza", it's a drama movie about the big influx of illegal Chinese immigrants to Japan in the 90's and their life in Japan.
And can anyone recommend some good Yakuza movies? I've pretty much seen all the Beat Takeshi ones and I already have the Yakuza Papers movies, which are supposed to be classics, on my HDD.
>mfw got Yakuza 2 in japanese by mistake
>can't find a english copy of either Yakuza 1 or 2
>went Xbox360 last generation so missed out on the yakuza games
>not going to get a ps4 because there's only 2 or 3 exclusives that i want to play on it
>Will never enjoy these amazing games
Tell me that these games are going to get a pc release pls.
uh I think they forgot to translate opponent names in the Colosseum..
it's worded weirdly but I'm going to assume that it just makes the item drops better from battles, like the Lucky Binding item that you can get later on but probably not as effective
>And can anyone recommend some good Yakuza movies?
Sympathy for the Underdog
Cops vs Thugs
Man I should watch the Yakuza Papers films at some point. Apparantly the Yakuza games take a massive influence from them, moreso than any other films.
How do we fight online together with Virtua Fighter ? The online DLC is included in the wester version of Yakuza 5 and listed in the main menu, but I can't find the option ingame...
I played sleeping puppers and loved every second of it and a friend told me it was like a spiritual secuel to Yakuza, so i got yakuza 2 played some of it despite the laguage barrier and loved it but i feel like i'm missing out big time because its in japanese.
it's inconvenient but you could just try looking for Yakuza 2 again, and actually make sure you're getting an english version this time
I'm looking on ebay right now and there's one copy going for $20
That game was more GTA than Yakuza but I see what your friend meant
Sleeping Dogs is a spiritual successor (should have been direct sequel to) the True Crime games.
Yakuza is a spiritual successor to Shenmue
Man, Shinada's chapter...
>that part with the hooker
>time to get to reality now
>use the change to buy something for your kids
...I'm not even married
Man i complain about the plot of these games all the time, but they can still make great characters and moments
He's also the 18th most popular character in the series according to that poll taken for Ishin
yeah the characters in Shinada's chapter were fun, Takasugi was a total bro. Wish Milky showed up more often though.
Saejima above Akiyama
>Daigo and Baba that high
>Date that low
>No Kaoru or Takasugi
>Baba and Arai even being on there
>daughterwaifu being that low
>It is said Koi was determined to reach the top of the waterfall so it persevered and succeeded.
>The koi swam against the current of the yellow river to reach the Dragon gate and when they reached the Dragon gate they turned into a dragon.
>The Red Koi Tattoo. Red is taken as an energetic color so the tattoo is typically an expression of masculine love. It can be used to represent love for a woman by a man or a woman can have one as a reminder of the strong love she has for someone or commitment to something.
Personally i find Nishiki more relatable than Ryuji.
>time to get to reality now
I don't know about the rest of you but after that I went and got blackout drunk at the bar.
at least I finally remembered where the baseball coach was hanging out because of that.
Nips further confirmed for having shit taste. Jesus this is bad.
Hopefully Kiwami fixes that to some degree, the potential for being a good antagonist is there but he was just too underdeveloped as a character in 1. Seems like Zero fleshes him out somewhat as well.
I can't even imagine doing Akiyama's battle against the two without cheesing them with weapons
I agree with like 70-80% of that list and would personally only bump up/drop down some characters by one or two places.
Baba was shit though and Arai barely even had a comprehendable character. Ayanokoji was fun but there are loads of characters I'd have over him as well.
The first game had a solid plot but the characters motivation wasn't very well explained. Hopefully Kiwami fixes this up.
Yeah I didn't have a problem with Kiryu or Saejima, and I just used counter grabs with Shinada until they died, had to use a few healing items but it was okay. I just can't land a single hit with Akiyama, he's just too weak, he has no counters or anything useful outside of his heat moves. I'm at my wits end.
Nishiki's back story literally take half of Kiwami trailer length
It represents the average Japanese's perception of being perpetually incarcerated by their own faults, and chained to their pasts.
Also their inability to differentiate between gunshot wounds and rubber bullet wounds.
The question is how will Kiwami handle his backstory since it is the selling point of the game and the trailer implied that could be quiet lengthy.
>put controller down and grab a drink
I'm so fucking sick of fucking QTEs, and now they're pointlessly shoved into cutscenes for NO reason?
What the fuck man..
Doubt it since it close to the release date and there is no information on it.
Even if they did made him a playable character how are they going to give him a sizable movelist for the players to work with?
Lets face it, Kiwami is just a side-project and 6 is the big fish here. I just hope they do his boss fight justice since he was such a push over
unless you don't abuse recoveries
>want to 100% the game
>remember that even Haruka's side shit needs to be done
I liked the one punch Yahata scene but I'm glad that's the only 'fight' like that in the game, it'd get annoying fast.
I wonder why the localization team 'translated' that into something completely different in the subtitles
according to the series producer or something, every game is canon somehow
>that DEBORAH subquest where you have to get from Kamurocho square to Millennium Tower then to some obscure place in the east for the secret club.
Invisibile timer Timer doesn't stop during dialogue and encounters are inevitable
Why are fail-able subquests acceptable? Its the only reason keeping me from enjoying 2.
>play yakuza 5
>get to final save before the endgame (change characters freely, change time of day)
>Work on 100% completion
>go to bed
>move to another city
>can't bring the ps3
And this is how i blueballed myself into a vegetative state.
Because, and i can't stress this enough, the car was jam fucking packed. Small car, I could only bring clothes and my pc. No tv, no ps3, nothing else.
All i got is steam and fresh t shirts man
>played all the games in order
>not a fan of leveling up blind
>4 fixes this - I'm happy - it is perfect
Zero's system looks like some fucking stupid FFX rip-off too, what the fuck are they doing?
>according to the series producer or something, every game is canon somehow
I highly doubt he means Dead Souls when he said that because you cannot just bring dead characters from 1 and 2 back to life to fight zombies and other bullshit.
And you're grasping at straws hard when you try to argue Dead Souls is somehow canon.
That's the thing. My car was in the shop, so i figured i'd ask if someone would take the trip. Parents were willing.
But there the problems started.
my step-dad needed to be the one to drive, 'cause it's his car. And he's the type that has a particular seat in the couch and shit like that.
My dear mother also had to come along because she got an excuse to go shopping as well. And you better believe she ain't taking my luggage anywhere near her seat.
So that leaves the backseats, one which i'll have to occupy, and the trunk, which can hold lolnotenough.
Trust me, i tried everything i could.
In the end i had to pack the cables to my pc in a really small bag (headset and keyboard included) and have that in my lap instead.
i'm mad about it.
I should be grateful, but the fact that they'd say no if it wasn't for the fact that they got something out of it too makes me just mad.
I wanna finish my backlog. And yakuza
Ishin and 0 still aren't quite good as 4's level up system (which was literally perfect), but you can actually see some way ahead of the future skills you're investing in, and there's cross interaction between the skill trees at higher levels. 5's still a frustrating step backwards for the system, but at least it isn't as bad as 1 through 3.
>winning fights in the street and arena with just tiger drops and not getting hit once
I'M ON A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL NOW
>fight Saejima on the roof
>dies in 4 consecutive Tiger Drops
I understand Watase had more HP, but come one now..
