Honestly, handhelds should have a video out function so that I can just hook them to the TV and use the handheld itself as a controller.

Sure, it's great that some people actually play their handhelds literally on the go. But there are tons and tons of the rest of us who basically only play them at home and wish they might as well have just been console games. The popularity of things like the gameboy player attests to this. Just put a mini-HDMI jack on the side somewhere. That's all I ask for.

Why the fuck do companies do this? Same with phones, for that matter. Sure, the GBA's screen wasn't lit at all and you needed to use a fucking glow worm or whatever, but at least when it was light out, I could see the screen.

Yeah I was just playing it on the skytrain.

I usually play mine in the library between classes where I have a good amount of free time.

Anywhere else and I'm usually going somewhere or waiting for a small amount of time so I don't want to bust out my 3DS just to open a game, do one thing, and then close it. I usually just watch Netflix on my phone when waiting elsewhere.
