I didn't think it was bad, I didn't think it was good either. It didn't have good enough multiplayer for me to fall back on though so that's why I never liked it.

Halo 5, while the story is criminally short has an interesting plot. The multiplayer is very good.

The thing with Halo though, I don't think Bungie really intended for the characters to have very much depth, and used the campaign to reel you in for the multiplayer. However they did make fun campaigns and did come up with some good story as Halo 2 (even cut) and 3 came out. 343i began an uphill battle when they tried to add depth to the halo universe through the campaign, and they're not really winning anybody over. Multiplayer and multiplayer only is whats saving Halo right now.

a lot of the people i have talked to said halo 4 singleplayer was supposed to be good.

ive never played a halo singleplayer, but i can easily say that halo 4 multiplayer was the worst out of all of them. that was the only game out of the like 30 i bought for my 360 that i had buyers remorse

While I thought it was interesting I didn't think it was executed very well, interesting none the less.

So much potential but they didn't do it very well, I still found the story interesting.
