Except for the fact that said shield user JUST realized he was there and telling someone something doesn't register instantly, pings are also silent to anyone but the person doing it.
He caught them both by surprise with his positioning, and even if Ash figured it out she would have had to line up a shot that wasn't going to hit Mountain in the back of his head.
Mountain was useful for long enough to tell a guy was there, and then it was gone that fast, a drone would have done better in that situation.

How do I play mute properly?
Ive tried putting the jammer against the wall of 2 reinforced walls but the enemy seem to still be able to use their charges.

Some maps have super big rooms that make it perfectly fine to pick Fuze since half the room is normally full of dudes.

Fuck Hostage anyways its the least fun mode and i've seen people use the tactic of being the last alive sneaking in the room grabbing the hostage and running into fire spinning in place and winning from hostage dying.

Would an operator that has a flying drone on offense and a wooden barricade, but blocks off the bottom section (the area where drones can normally slip through) on defense work? I thought it was kind of a neat idea

There are a few changes I think this game needs to be more interesting.

Not knowing if you downed or killed a guy. If you shoot someone through a window and he goes down you should not be sure he's dead until you check if he's still there.

Not knowing if your teammates or enemies are downed without actually telling eachother that yes you are indeed alive and yes that gunfire was a confirmed kill.
