/V/ told me this game was better than this.
The biggest challenge is finding all of the hidden objectives, which is nearly impossible without using the trophy guide.
>Talk to NPC 1 before accepting a mission
>Turn in that mission
>Suddenly they are selling a different item and give a quest, yet do not have a green exclamation over their head
It's slightly enraging just how well hidden some quests are.
>that destroyed video games in the first place
With Leveling DLC, and costume sets which will run at least $15 for all the characters, I doubt waifu pandering is the problem with this game.
It does feel nice to have a traditional JRPG on the PS3 again, since most of them were VITA exclusives.
If anyone has the Japanese version of Sen 1, they could probably clear this up simply by analyzing an enemy and seeing if we can angle the enemy to see beneath them.
Stop being fucking retarded. Games can be fun without all that shit waifu pandering crap going around. Look at actual good JRPGs like Xenoblade, Ni No Kuni, even fucking Final Fantasy.
Not a single pandering moment, and these are the top of the JRPG genre today.
Not this Nep shit that actually fucking infected the good franchises. FFXIII-3 had fucking dress up mini games and even fucking XCX had bikini shit.
I can't believeyou fags have the nerve to tell me they're not fucking up video games.

refine your bait
In a lot of cases, yes. You can fill the listed optional quests before taking on the required quest which advances time. In the case of the festival, there are rare quests and objectives left and right.
I really like it, however I cannot stand that the other games aren't at least on PSN. What's the harm? If they're on steam it can't be hard to just port them to PSN.
I digress. The game is pretty good, I like the Persona feel of it, but it's not really rewarding to max out bonds. Like, why the tease? Battle system isn't bad, not super challenging though the chapter 4 schoolhouse boss can suck a fuck.
Other than that, I mean, Emma is a titty monster and that is pretty fuckin kosher.
Rean and Fie with high evasion is best.
I'm not sure what it is about Fie, but when an enemy lands a hit on her, she becomes easily afflicted to status ailments. Crow seems to be the complete opposite. He can still be hit, but it's rare that you see anything actually take him down.
>absolutely wreck a boss in less than 6 turns: 1.5X EXP = 6,700 EXp
>take forever, get obliterated, 2 party member left: 2.3X EXP = +9999 EXP
Why? Why the hell am I being punished for not sucking at a boss? It makes no sense.
I riked it.
Sky was better story-wise but this is okay, too.
I wish they had waited until both games were translated and released them at the same time, though because fuck cliffhanger endings.
Alisa's is just generic Tsundere in it's purest form.
Rean's VA is bro-tier, though, even though he isn't the best at it.
>mfw he did a vocaroo of Coldsteel the Hedgeheg
Mfw im at chapter 6 bracing myself for the horrible concert part.
How bad is it?
Will we ever see a full compilation, for a single console, with carry overs from existing saves? It's the same thing that largely hurt the Metal Gear franchise, even with The Legacy Collection in existance.
>Game has a bunch of Master Quartz to customize your character's stats and arts
>There's no real reason to ever switch from your default ones
Mathematics. Total number of double teams and rushes, total counter attacks, and other battle events stack, yet cap at 9,999.
>Where you can find the other master quartzes besides buying them?
>i'm on chapter 3 so far
This game is focused on shorting you as much as possible early on. Around the end of the game, there are master quartzes left and right. Laura's is still the best though, unless attack damage caps.
You get some from quests and chests later in the game, some from shops and another from the principal if you get all 3 Lionheart Medals.
To get the medals you need to:
>Fill out most of the monster book
>Get all least half of the info in the character book
>Do most of the quests
After that, speak to the instructors in chapter 5 or later and they'll give you the medals.
My one complaint is that I wish there were notebook entries for people not from the school, there are plenty of NPCs you see over the course of your field studies like the tourists from crossbell.
This is exactly why she's perfect.
You've angered Mr. Tiddles, what do you do now?
Just started the last chapter, kind of wish it was longer but I get they're trying to build it up for the next three games. I enjoyed the game and am looking forward to the others but it does feel like a whole lot of nothing is happening right now and I made the mistake of playing it on normal so it's been a cake walk so far.
It's ok, not amazing. Pretty easy except for certain bosses but that's due to status effects more than anything else and even then you're rolling in status effect removal items so it doesn't matter.
I despise the the final boss for being 50% luck based on nightmare because it doesn't take into account any character progression you've made during the game.
The first time I seen that I wondered if there was some sort of glitch.
>What's Machias good for?
He has an ability which casts haste on the party, which places them ahead of the enemies. Also his normal attack is good for hitting multiple targets. If you stack any leftover strength on him (or purchase Attack gems at the engineering shop on the final chapter) he can take out trash mobs.
>in principal's office
>read a book that says some shit about medals
>neat hopefully you can actually get those and there's some huge ass event at the end of the game where rean gets all of them and has every girl in school begging for his shwarzer
>walk outside and see that one scruffy ass teacher
>"oh hey rean. I gotta give this to someone, might as well be you"
>get medal of valor
Are they? Yes. Can you do it in the game? No.
It's not that bad, but it's not that good either. I think it was cool of the voice actor to take that request, and if other voice actors joined in, they would get more respect from the gaming community.
She's pretty high in the rankings.
I wonder how mad they will get at the sequel.
I really liked her and Machias's backstories. They both made me feel a bit sad :(.
The guy the jaeger king defeated was the brother of Red constellation's leader that appears in Crossbell, right? (Forgot his name...)
That's why you use her to find out which girls have been tainted, and prevent it from happening again.
>tfw can't stop imaging rean being coldsteel while playing the game
