Let's wallow in anguish for a bit.
>this game sells more in a week several months after release in Japan than SMT x FE has in it's debut and 2nd week
>last game in the franchise
>not getting localized
Also, not localising an Ace Attorney game with Sherlock Holmes when half the girls in the western world are schlicking to the character in some shape or form seems like a missed opportunity.
Any comfy Japanese games to be honest
I'm still surprised that Katamari was ever translated
HAHAHA why would you play localized games? Especially when they are getting content cut and being censored to hell and back nowadays? How about you stop expecting people to spoonfeed you and just learn the fucking language to play the games the way they were meant to
Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times. Originally started on the DS. Think Animal Crossing mixing with Harry Potter. 3DS version was released about 2012-2013, with no sign of localization.
Looks like the sequel to their version of Animal Crossing, except it was 10times better because there was more to do, more events happening over the course of the year and the ability to date your classmates.
>still no fan translation
Why must we suffer.
>people will actually post mother 3
You guys realize the fan translation is better then what nintendo would give us, right?
The games have always had some delay between Japanese release and localization announcement. Doesn't mean that this couldn't be an exception, but the games take a lot more localization work than just about anything that isn't an RPG.
>Still significantly Japanese and doesn't stop being that after the first case
>Has things that are a pain to localize believably
Also, apparently Pepsiman on Tumblr is looking into an EX Troopers fan translation. He looked into it a while ago and said it didn't seem like a technical headache to start editing, but that he wouldn't be announcing anything else until he knew he could commit and had made some decent headway.
I've heard that it's very good until the last case, and that's less because it's bad but because it doesn't really conclude. The basic mystery that starts the case wraps up, the the greater mystery that ties back into the other cases basically leads cliffhanger for a direct sequel.
Here's another category for you:
>games that were cancelled to work on SMT x FE
I was hoping with the release of the gba versions it'd gather enough interest to warrant a localization for 8, since it seems like it's close to that formula, and sounded like a revival of sorts for the franchise.
Dropped. And this is coming from someone who is willing to buy all the Katamari games if I could afford them all. The only reason worth playing this mobile trash is for the OST.
I actually outright imported this one (since I've been learning moonrunes) and it's literally miles better than the DS game.
Now with CFW you guys really ought to pirate it. It's fucking fantastic. I don't regret spending $30 plus shipping on it when I did.
>the optional story mode ruined the series
>Sega's going to make EO a mobile phone series
>Untold 1 took up 5's development time
>EMD took up 5's development time SOMEHOW
>Untold 2 took up 5's development time
>SMTxFE took up 5's development time
>Persona 5 took up 5's development time
Depending on the translation you look at, it seems like he also says that there's news planned "once the weather starts getting warmer."
All of those points are stupid, I agree.
>Literally a NX release game.
>nothing in the article stating that
Stop messing with me.
Well, it's good to know that they're still tinkering with it.
Also I was just being silly and shitposting. I know they're not going to suddenly drop EOV now that the series is starting to gain more popularity.
I've been play RH plus since I broke my 3DS and man is it way to wordy. The excessive text and the dumb gatekeepers slow the game down way more than I'd like.
Game still owns though. Is there a perfect ost floating around?
>tfw Boku no Natsuyasumi NEVER EVER
>nobody will even hack it because vertical text and obscurity
How is this game? I thought it was mostly just minigames from the previous Rhythm Heavens.
I highly doubt it'll be a NX launch title. It's not a big enough name to move consoles and JRPGs are notorious for continuing to come out on older consoles even a few years into the following generation.
If it is a launch title then I guess they just earned an easy NX purchase from me.
They'll go back to it after Cyber Sleuth sells well, r-right?
>How is this game? I thought it was mostly just minigames from the previous Rhythm Heavens.
It is mostly a compilation game. Though the new minigames are great and playing the DS ones with button input is a godsend. They also added a challenge mode which gets hard as hell.
>and that guy will never finish the PSX fan translation either
BRING IT OVER YOU FUCKS
I don't want to hack my N3DS just to play a game in English.
Fuck region locking, i don't even need to know japanese for this one.
Nope. The most you'll have was some guy on youtube who put some effort in doing nice subs for his playthrough before he stopped doing it. It's not too difficult to understand if you're weeb enough but it's definitely one of those games where it's not worth playing if you don't understand 100% of everything being said.
Top fucking kek.
Go hit up /djt/ on /a/ and don't come back for at least a year.
I doubt it, though there is hope with the PSP translation crew since they were messing around with it last I checked. I recall them saying importing all the completed PSP stuff was only something like 30% of the game for Decode.
There's a HANS patch for it if I remember correctly so if you just buy the game you can run it in English via that.
I feel I'm out of /a/'s league by now. Those threads have been going on for 2 years now. It will probably just be filled with jaded people who don't want to hear the same new person questions again.
You don't have to ask questions. Just check out the info in the OP and that'll get you going.
Just don't use Rosetta Stone for learning a language. That's like installing Norton for virus protection.
