>Stare at main menu for a couple minutes
>Turn off game, and go back to whatever the hell was happening before starting the game.
Intrest has slowly went to complete shit, but playing Witcher 3 recently on PC has slightly been keeping me on longer than an hour. Won't be long before I get bored of if thought and continue browsing internet all day bored.

Video games have just been too uninteresting this year for me.
By having other hobbies I give time to when I don't want to play vidya. Sometimes I go 1-2 months without playing anything. I just read comics/books, watch tv and movies, and stuff like that
have you ever been playing some grindy game with some music playing in the background, and realize that you're listening to the music more than you're playing

This. It also helps to be selective about what you play and only choose good games, settling for no less than excellent.
Get a job.
Seriously, it worked for me. Makes you appreciate your vidya time in a whole new way and makes your escapes from normies all the more important.
Not that /v/ is particularly effective in that regard anymore, but still.
Alternatively, you could pick up a more time-consuming hobby. Gunpla's fun, but it's patient, delicate work mostly and it makes you wanna do something focus free like shooting aliens or carving up orcs.
