Tiny talks and sounds like Mike Tyson parody, Crunch is Mr.T parody and does nothing the entire first game except says stupid shit. None of the classic Crash baddies return like Ripper-roo or Dingodile and if they did they'd probably be ruined as well.
Besides CTR which will always reign king, Crash 2 is definitely my favorite.
As you all have been saying though, Twinsanity was a fabulous gem that just needed some more shine to it. If it had another 6 months in it's development time I'm sure it would be the best game in the series.

And, once again, the game is unbeatable. You won't be able to progress past the Dingodile fight unless you can find a save file online that has you placed right after the fight.
There actually is such a save file out there if you do the searching. I used it to beat the game, but whoever uploaded the file was a lazy fuck and didn't collect all the gems making it literally impossible to 100% the game in an emulator.

I've never thought of it as being on the same level a sequel as Wipeout2097, THPS2, Destruction Derby 2, Tekken 2, or Twisted Metal 2 for example. Games that were clearly perfect, same-gen follow ups, for how much they improved on their predecessors.
>>323142091 Crash 2 took Crash 1 and made it better in every way while adding a lot of cool stuff. The controls are tighter, sliding added a lot to the way you moved Crash around. The visuals got an upgrade. The music got an upgrade (Crash 2 still remains the best Crash OST). Bosses were more fun. Secrets were also handled much better in Crash 2. Bonus stages actually mattered.
Plus, it didn't have that stupid bullshit save system that Crash 1 had.

>>323142379 I enjoyed the humour in twin sanity but that's about it. The references to previous games were pretty well done and there's a small gag in a specific setpiece where you crash through what is basically a whorehouse and Cortex shouts "MOTHER?!?!?" which was pretty funny.
>>323142379 I've had the same reaction when first tried it back in 2007. Mediocre platforming and unconventional level design were a big turn off. The music too seemed too different from the original three games. But then I've tried it again using emulator and had a blast. Yeah, the gameplay is meh but the voice acting is hilarious and the music is actually very fun to listen to. Bosses were not bad either. It's not as good as Ctash 2 or even 3 but still a nice little title for someone who wants a bit more Crash.
And yeah, somehow I had no problems on the Dingodile fight. Perhaps my settings were different? I rememeber the game had no shadows (which made jumps with certain camera angles quite a challenge)
