Should I overlevel the fuck out of my hunter for the final chalice? I'm just missing the Yharnam trophy and I'm getting my shit pushed in real hard in the cursed chalice. Should I start to grind levels like a madman? Chalices are so boring. Currently BL140 or so

A +10 weapon is really nice if you're on NG--I can't imagine fighting the first DLC boss blind without it. I recommend starting the DLC before killing Mergo's Wet Nurse, but after getting the Blood Rock; otherwise you'll miss some extra dialogue with the Doll and Gehrman.

I'd say somewhere around BL25-30 for most people. I kill BSB first so I can get the memeblade, but it really doesn't matter. Axe is more than capable of taking you through the entire game if you wanted, though I find it a bit slow.

How does armor work in BB? Do I have to look like an asshole and wear that hat all the time or can I put something else on? Is there actual, like, metal armor in the game or is it a leather-fest-only thing? Are there greatswords?

I find 15 stam is plenty for the entire game. I tend to level either str or dex first depending on the weapon I'm using or plan to use. Doing more damage is more important since it's easy to regain health with rally and health with vials. Then I raise health after about 25 points in my damage stat.

Well that's gone in this game. Basically any armor you wear will either either be for looks or because it has certain stats. Some armor is good against pure physical others are good against arcane.

Theres one great-sword but you're pretty much limited to dex in terms of playstyle so you're better off using the Halberd (Hunters Axe)

Cainhurst set is metal armor, thoughvery thin. Yes to being a leatherfest. Armor is almost irrelevant so just wear whatever you like, there are plenty of hats and I'm sure you'll findone you like. There are two greatswords, Ludwig's holy blade and Holy Sword of Moonlight in the dlc, the latter being much less boring and also being the only one-handed greatsword. But have an open mind, try something cool you can't do in dark souls as well. If you want to build for holy moonlight for example, you can also make use of the parasite and become a tentacle endowed exploding monstrosity.

Memesword is quality, so str and dex give you about the same. BB scales with dex and arc to an extent. The beast cutter is str.

It really doesn't matter what armor you use. It's fashionsouls. Some sets like Henryk will have high lightning, which is useful for fights like Paarl. Djura set has high frenzy resistance, which is nice for winter lanterns.

Thanks for the tip anon. I just got really lucky with the twin bloodstones so upgrading my weapon was easy. Plus the two bloodgems. One that gives me 12.6% attack against beasts and a one that gives 7% attack with extra health.
