I think my body is ready. There is definitely at least one or two things in here that can kill me in one shot, though...
The music actually feels a lot like something out of Final Fantasy VIII. I think the music here was definitely one of the songs that the VIII soundtrack was derived from.
What did he mean by this?
Cid has Long Range and Cover.
I've done it while being a lot weaker than this, actually. Big Guard and Peerless status from Aeris' limit breaks is a big help.
Because ignorant fucks like you don't realize that Aeris is a legitimate translation, and the original creators did not decide that Aerith was the "correct" spelling until well after the release of the English version of the game. They didn't decide on such a minuscule detail until after the fact so they lost their chance.
Also, Aeris is closer to her Japanese name Earisu Geinzubūru.
Aerith Gainsborough (Japanese: エアリス・ゲインズブール Hepburn: Earisu Geinzubūru?) — transliterated Aeris Gainsborough in the English releases of Final Fantasy VII.
enjoy your wrong translation.
>both Aerith and Aeris are REAL translations of the same word
>anon is idiotic enough to think Aeris is a "wrong" translation
Hahahaha... Thanks for the entertainment gaijin.
>I don't know jack shit about the translation of Aeris name, so since I like Aerith better I will pretend that is the only correct translation
Good to know. Anything else you feel like sharing?
Takes no time to grind limits, actually. Matra Magic in the Mithril Cave works nicely for getting characters' kill counts up, and then you can use Manipulate to make enemies with gravity based attacks fill your limits up quickly to use them and learn the second ones for each level.
As for getting Omnislash early, it's actually pretty easy if you steal a bunch of Right Arms from Bombs on that big bridge in the Corel Mountains.
I think that "Lance Gramps" would actually be a pretty awesome nickname for Cid...
Also, oh shit a dragon!
>hahaha anon, I like the name Aerith better thus that makes actual translations from Japanese to English obsolete
>come up with a better argument than muh opinion
Umm... How about I just accept the fact that anyone using Aerith is either an idiot, or never played the game before. Life is much easier this way than trying to argue with "muh opinion is better than facts".
You should stream if you like informing people on your playthrough. I'd watch it.
I am unable to stream, currently, as the internet I'm on is absolute dogshit, otherwise I would happily stream a 100% playthrough from start to finish for you guys. This is the best I can do right now.
I killed it without using limit breaks, and took no casualties during the fight, though. Big Guard is love. Big Guard is life.
Ye, imagine naming someone with a dumb noun like Cloud or Lightning.
Time for my MLG pro strats for what is considered by most to be the first "hard" boss in the game.
First let's go ahead and put everyone in Peerless status so this dude can't even damage me.
Well fuck. Big Brawl actually turned out to be a mistake. For some reason, it didn't hit the boss at all. Should have used Dragon Dive.
The original name translates into Aeris or Aerith. Are you retarded? The game is Japanese, not English. Aeris is a translation of her Japanese name, and it was the first one used. Since the creators didn't actually choose the English name for her until well after the English release of the game, Aeris was the correct translation thus, it is her English name. I don't care what a creator decides to name a character years after they release their work of fiction. If Rowling decided she likes Henry Potter better as a name right now, I would tell her to go fuck herself.
It didn't even matter. I didn't even have to put everyone in Peerless status, or use a limit break with Cid, anyway. A single Omnislash killed it. I feel dumb now.
Aeris, is now really the time to be doing this shit?
Whatever. It's Cait Sith feels time!
The music at this part gets me every fucking time.
I think that perhaps Reeve can feel what's happening to the Cait Sith dolls, or they really do have some sort of consciousness, because there was a part where Cait Sith tripped and said "Ow!"
