I work at 9, so the only option I have is Target which opens at 8, and they're never very well stocked unless they have an exclusive. I don't know how early I want to go, while being able to sleep enough to get through work.

And from what I've heard of the stock, it's not going to be great anywhere, so I don't want to risk going to BB/TRU/GS at 6 PM and finding them all sold out.

in hyrule warriors you need a link amiibo (or toon link) to get the spinner but it kinda blows anyway

in splatoon they unlock some singleplayer missions, but they're just normal ones with different weapons so whether that's significant is up to you I suppose I think it is

Amiibo festival as far as I recall is the only bullshit one since you can't really even do anything with the game without amiibos. Kinda glad nobody gives a fuck about it and it's probably selling like shit.

I own every single one of the Smash line, because I got to collect them all.

The real reason is, I always thought the concept was amazing for Smash brothers, since the series has always been about toys / figures coming to life. So I decided I'd get my favorite characters that would never get "real" figures of their own, like Little Mac and Shulk. Then I got Link, for Hyrule Warriors. After that, I figured, hey, it'd be cool to get the original 12 characters from Smash 64, plus the select few I really like. Well, I got the original 12, and then my "select few" got too big, and I realized I might as well finish them up. And here I am.

Every other game that supports amiibo does it poorly, I'm only in it for Smash.
