Is Squad good? Or should I just keep playing PR for now.
Keep playing PR until it's at least in Beta. Once Squad is released I'm sure a lot of people that play PR will move on to something that isn't so clunky and outdated even if it is nostalgic for BF2.
>It will be great when they add vehicles.
I'm having flashbacks.
Since guys that play PR are ITT...what the fuck can I do to get a good framerate? I put most things on low or medium but it's still struggling on a lot of maps.
It's not like I have a toaster either.
Shiiet, dude. I have a R9 290 and FX-6350. Will Squad not run well for me?
I'd honestly wait. From what I've read so far AMD CPUs are hovering around 20 to 30 fps right now. Not sure if that's worth it for you though.
I have to say though, I streamed some games over Steam to friends and no FPS issues at all. That was really impressive for such a cheap CPU.
>From what I've read so far AMD CPUs are hovering around 20 to 30 fps right now
>tfw if I want to get an i5 I also have to get a whole new mobo
Anon, no game released as "Early access" on steam will ever come out of Alpha.
It's a meme by the industry to be able to say "don't worry our game might be shit now, but it's not even halfway finished XD"
Honestly I prefer Insurgency
Insurgency is aight. The maps are way too small for me though, it feels like a tactical realistic counterstrike.
Also having Source as the game engine wasn't the best choice.
I still like it though. There are some pretty great mods for it too.
>want to play squad
>40 fucking dollars for early access
Like holy shit I would have just bought it if it was $20, that's way to fucking much to spend on a game in progress
How bad is the cancer? I hear the game has an issue with elitist squad leaders acting like cunts and team killers.
Sure, but I was hoping Squad might do something to combat that.
I don't think there IS a way to combat it. Sure, maybe more admin vigilance but that'd just end up in a bunch of ass-sore pansies spamming the report key each time they get cursed at by their squad leader.
some weapons, vehicles, stats, randomly generated cities within maps, working ping count, hooks but right now its pretty playable but nowhere near its peak yet. I made the jump from PR to Squad anyways and I dont regret it desu
>randomly generated cities within maps
Clever. We need more shooters taking advantage of procedural generation, without going fully procedural. There's definitely a perfect balance between hand made and procedural, but nobody has found it yet.
Nah, it's not just that. Sure I mean, you get squad leaders that freak out over anybody who is new and learning. But the real cancer is squad leaders who suck ass and freak out over anyone who doesn't follow their orders to the letter, even if they have a much better plan.
Elitist cancer are usually shitters who can't actually play the game properly, and try to hide that by screaming and acting like they're really soldiers.
