The reason I don't like Peragus is because there is little variety in quest types and conversations. The most interesting thing to talk to is the fucking HK droid. As for quests, they are literally all of "escape the mine" variety. It gets old after just one playthrough, when the atmosphere (which is good, I agree) wears off.

At least Telos and Taris have people to talk to, different sides to support, and Sith parties to attend. There is an air of variety about them; they feel much less on-rails.

Not really. With some credit management you can get two Mandalorian Rippers as soon as you get off Telos. Merchant in Dantooine sells one, and the mandalorian merchant on Dxun sells one.

That's the second most powerful blaster in the game, before you even defeat any of the jedi masters.

Well, I kind of did a Boba Fett build in that I wore heavy armor. I used Kreia in my party to buff me up with Battle meditation, Speed, etc. Turned me into a god of war pretty much. I also used Insanity as it can be cast with heavy armor. Gives me the sneak attack bonus from being a Sith assassin 100% of the time. I played on difficult and killed everything in the game in max 2 attacks.

Just finished KOTOR today. I liked the game to an extent, but a lot of it felt shallow. The final boss fight was such bullshit. I don't know if I was just under levelled but I couldn't take Malak in a one on one, so I had to run about, heal up and attack when I had a chance which just felt lame.

I feel like Bastilla becoming Malak's apprentice was too rushed and could have benefited from seeing some extra cutscenes. How does a character that so far in the story has had no tendency to the dark side become completely devoted to it after a few days of torture. I could understand if she was just faking being Malak's apprentice, but she was full blown Sith by the time you see her again.

Mass effect seemed to take a lot from KOTOR, but it was so much better. I'm excited to play KOTOR 2 though.

Nothing is a more guarenteed death flag than being a Jedi Master with an apprentice.

Actually, now that I think about it, being a Force Sensitive is pretty much a guarenteed death sentence for everyone but the main character. Every Jedi/Sith from the first 6 movies dies, save Luke, who I'll eat my own midichlorians if he survives the next 2 movies. If you're a Jedi/Sith, and not the main character, you're basically stepping into your own funeral pyre.
