It happens in Nethack.

You can get some silly weapons, including ones that petrify or kill with a touch. Nymphs can steal them from you and use them to 1 shot kill you. You can use the corpse of a cockatrice as a weapon, which petrified anything with a touch, including yourself if you don't wear gloves. When the Nymph steals it she'll instantly turn to stone.
