>It is because you were
what did she mean by this?
I figure she expected the Exile to stand up against the masters herself. When she didn't, Kreia fell to the dark side, and when the Exile bested her at Malachor she had proof that her teaching had made the Exile strong, stronger than her. And that is what Kreia means at the end, when she says the Exile has saved her.
Exile didn't cut himself off from the Force because he thought it was better to live without it or because he didn't agree with the Jedi anymore, he was just afraid to be connected to the Force after being exposed to so much death at Malachor.
>no option NOT to fight Kreia
>you will never EVER live in a reality in which both VTM:B and KOTOR2 were utterly, fully completed
Well Kreia did tell you that if she dies you die
Sure she was lying and it would have been cool if you could do it anyways, but it makes a bit more sense that the Exile would rather lug her around for a while than drop dead
>Just spent the past two days trying to install every mod I need/want for KOTOR 2
>tried installing a Revan Robes mod along with a cape fix to take away the retarded clipping
>one thing led to another and now every thing is fucked up and keeps crashing, and I am so confused as to how to actually get this robe mod working that I was forced to reinstall the entire game and start from scratch.
She thought that the Exile was strong enough to turn away from the Force, but it was really the fear and pain of a thousand dead comrades that created the wound in the Force that the Exile was
Can one genuinely turn away from the Force
>talking with her on the Ebon Hawk for the first time
>no matter what I say it's "hurr YOU ARE NOT LISTENING!" or "Pathetic Jedi teaching derp"
This bitch needs to stfu
It only really matters if it means a bunch of stories will now override and take a shit all over the direction the old series took but since it's set 4000 years before the OT, there's literally no reason to be aggravated by it since nothing will bother overwriting it
>Revan robes mod with a cape fix
Please, provide links.
I am fucking tired with having prequel Jedi robes.
>it will be 9 years before another good Star Wars game has even a chance of being made
>given that the sequels/spin offs will be finished in 5 years, the main hype will have died down
>an extra 4 years of EA being EA, piled on top of 6 years of EA being EA, will kill any residual hype
>mfw the new movies could have lead to a new golden age, but EA getting the rights means we will almost certainly never see a good Star Wars game ever again
Kreia is literally being contrarian in order to make you think about your actions logically instead of just picking them because they're lightside/darkside
That's exactly her character. All you need to do to make her like you is take her advice into account. You don't even need to agree with her, just always end your conversations with "I will consider what you have told me" or whatever
I could listen to Jolee
>the best SW characters of all time are now non-canon
Fuck this gay earth.
If the Exile don't fight her she would stab herself so both them die. You don't have a "no fight" option because the exile never had that option to begin with (unless you wanted a "game over" choice)
Wanna replay KOTOR1 being a good guy and turning into Dark Side after the Revan reveal. Can I do that withouth killing my crew? I don't exactly remember why you had to kill mission and Jolee on Rakata Prime.
I'm pretty sure any games released after a certain date are canon? Thereby, SWTOR's new faggy expansion is canon and canonises the "meat bag"?
You will always have to kill Jolee and mission. You can ignore Juhani completely on Dantooine iirc. Carth runs away. You'll have to kill Zaalbar too if you bring him to the Star Forge.
playing the game with light side powers then going dark side will make the endgame pretty hard though
Yeah. The exile was able to form force bonds with his peers more readily than other jedi, and as a result he shared the pain of all the soldiers who died on Malachor V, the trauma of which was so great that he forcibly deafened himself to the force in order to escape it.
In battle, your mind blocks the worst of the bond. If you don't face her, she'll scan your thoughts until she reached the point where you are banging her daughter then stab herself to prove how miserable a failure you were
I heard that EA discussed this with JJ so we'll find out in the future probably. Hopefully not, it's a pile of utter shit from a story standpoint and a gameplay one, even for SWTOR it's dire.
The one good thing about the MMO is the cinematics. Everything else ruined Knights of the Old Republic destroyed chances of a KOTOR 3
Well, at this moment Rakata Prime and Malachor, two planets that were KOTOR canon exclusive are now canon in the Disney universe.
Darth Bane is canon too and the teachings he followed were the teachings of Revan. There is still hope.
>The reason Revan and Malak turned to the dark side is because they couldn't beat some shitty gary stu LE SITH EMPEROR WHO HAS LIVED 1000000 YEARS
Nah, fuck that
I like the idea that Revan grew so disenfranchised with the Jedi and the Republic that he just turned Sith because it aligned with his way of doing things better.
I have a thing for bad-non edgy-manipulative characters. I love how he tries to force you to use his power and after using them twice, even when you refuse his help the 3rd time he cancels your "no" choice and forces you to use them. I think I'm just tired of "WOOO WOOO I'M BAD!! I'M POWERFULL!! BOW BEFORE ME!!!" characters.
Outside of him starting the rule of two, the Canon Masketta Sith is quite clearly different from the old one, m8.
>Why can't Atton, Mira and Visas feel that pain?
>The exile was able to form force bonds with his peers more readily than other jedi,
>And why Bao-Dur says "I died on Malachor V"?
because he saw first hand precisely what he'd wrought. He feels horrified at what he did, but can't let go of the hatred that drove him to do it.
i found this one also
don't worry about my previous posts because i got them
no, she has quite a lot of quotes to choose from really so I wouldn't put my hopes up. You could always you know, scroll past this one thread of about 150 on this fucking board though, it wouldn't kill you
>decide to do a sith run
>get on "fuck all nice things" mode
>start being a dick to everyone and everything just for the dark side points
>all of my companions are worried and give me "better be careful" talks
>all of them blame Kreia for my fall from the light
>while Kreia herself keeps bitching at me because I'm being too much of a cunt
I don't even
While I can't speak about whatever novels he may have been in, Vidya Kyle Katarn is how a competent writer compiles traits without making a character a Sue.
The only people who think he is one are the dumbasses who worship tvtropes like it's gospel
I remember that part. After the "YOU ARE NOT LISTENING" or the "Pathetic Jedi teachings" you get an option to say "you are right". You even get influence with her if you tell her you don't trust her.
>other anons like Atton
For the longest time, I thought I was the only one.
>the dumbasses who worship tvtropes like it's gospel
So about 99% of the internet.
I thought it wasn't about HOW the exile lost connection with the force, but the fact that the exile just carried on trucking and even thrived without it, proving that no one NEEDS the force to survive, defying the conventional Jedi (and Sith for that matter) wisdom that everything is force related somehow and that there's some kind of grand plan.
I want to Pure Pazaak inside Atton's ass!
He's Elder bro tier
>sees you in pain, and promptly stops to try and help, despite being chased by a legion of assassins lead by a Sith Lord
>his reaction to an assassin coming for you is immediately to piss him off to take his attention from you
>warns you about the Jek Jek Tar/bounty hunters
>is the one to come up with a plan when it all goes to shit
>makes sure Handmaiden is on the level
>always has your back in conversations
>takes on Sion 1v1 for you
>Is there at the end, asking where to next
