The big problem with N3DS is there are few games that take advantage of the hardware. Unless you want to play a crappy port of Xenoblade, or must have a second stick for Monster Hunter, there is little point in owning it.

Well, first off the 2DS was a response to the segment of the market that didn't want the 3D of the 3DS or didn't care enough about it to pay for it. So it was pretty much reactionary to how the 3D was received. It's not like the 2DS was always out.

I actually prefer the 2DS. I hated 3D for anything other than cutscenes, and I like how the 2DS's general construction is made for human hands and not weird Japanese omnidirectional spindles attached to wrists.

Well, I am. I just don't commonly spend it on consoles. The only reason I got the 2DS is to play 3DS games because my DSi was boring and none of the new games were compatible. I make about 50k a year and I spend it on stuff like good food, a nice place to live, and on my computer and gaming shit. I also don't have debt because I didn't go to university. Only reason I have my 2DS is to play the new Pokémon games, as I played them on a friend's 3DS and I got addicted. And I honestly probably could drop the money on a 3DS, but why do that when I can take the frugle, cost-effective route? I'm the kind of guy that likes my stuff to do the stuff that its intended for, and I don't need the extra amenities. It's why I drive a 1991 Volvo hatchback ffs. It may not be fancy, but it runs well and it's cheap.

You gotta distance the portable from your face, the more farther it is, the more easy on the eyes the 3D is, you gotta distance it and slowly bring it back closer 'till you find your "sweet" point. You can unlock the N3DS second core with just a homebrew launcher which can really make a difference for games like Pokemon and MGS.

You don't need to buy a wieldy, expensive periphelial if you want to use a second stick.
