"Shenmue 3 PayPal backers denied Kickstarter-exclusive reward options "as originally promised"
Despite community voting in favour of them."
I didn't back Shenmue 3 because I thought that something like this would happen. Now, I'm glad I didn't.
Any of you back this game on kickstarter or paypal?
No, Shenmue was trash and I didn't bother with 2. Why would I hand over my shekels to some greedy fuck who can't even make his own game with his own money?
Also, isn't Sony funding this now?
I paid 100 bucks on Kikestarter. Either way I won't regret it. Or should I say, I don't care.
Who cares? You can still buy the game, does purchasing all the extra nonsense really matter in the end?
If it was that important to you, wouldn't it have made sense to have purchased while the kickstarter was live?

All existing PayPal Slacker Backer rewards remain unaffected by the recent poll.
The poll was only to decide whether rewards that had been omitted (but previously available through Kickstarter) should be added to the line-up.
You really need to read into the situation, friend.
You seem to be uninformed.
NOTHING has been taken away, simply nothing has been added.
so they held a poll just because they thought they weren't getting enough bad press, and their fanbase wasn't scared/confused/angry enough?
If you're an actual backer you'd see the absolute majority met it with apathy.
Only about a sixth of backers bothered to vote and the vast majority of those who did voted for " Either is fine with me" with about 45% of the vote.
The difference between voters who wanted it to be available to paypal plebs or not was just over 600. There simply wasn't that much of an outcry, despite what you seem to believe.
Please don't waste my time.
>"Considering the strong response from those of you who felt that the Exclusive Rewards should remain exclusive for the Kickstarter, those Exclusive Rewards will not be made available on the PayPal page as originally promised,"
>as originally promised
Sure sounds like something was taken away to me...
Then taking the poll was pointless to begin with. If it was met with apathy and not that many people even voted, why even mention the results in connection with the decision that was made?
I think this is a case of really poor wording.
Do they mean that the "original promise" is for the paypal backers to not receive the kickstarter exclusive rewards?
>Japs can't into English.
It wasn't ignored, it was simply assessed to be irrelevant. The vast majority didn't care enough to vote, followed by people who didn't care either way AND THEN people who voted for it. No one is having ANYTHING taken away from them, it's simply not available to those who did not get in on the kick starter.
It was never there in the first place to be taken away. There wasn't enough interest so they scrapped the idea.
It wasn't pointless. If the community had decided to actually care about the poll and not voted in considerable numbers or with an actual majority towards providing the kickstarter rewards to paypal peeps then it would have gone ahead. It didn't and they saw it was a waste of time and effort.
If you truely think that not offering a select few kickstarter rewards to people who wish to buy into the project late means that Shenmue 3 magically isn't going happen you're delusional to say the least
Yeah me too. But it's really weird. Almost like they have no "eye" to operate in the today's "marketplace".
First Nintendo does their whole "nintendo-channel" bs or whatever it is, and then Konami shows the middlefinger to people liking their former real games and says it's gonna focus on fuckin' pachinkos!
Maybe it's tradition? Hell if i know.
