My bro team was always Garrus and Tali. I also always romanced either of them, sooo... ME2's squad banter (in and out of combat) with these two gave me a massive boner.

Also in ME2 having Tali, Legion, and Engishep was fun with three combat drones flying everywhere.

I've been replaying KOTOR 2 and I just can't do it anymore. I enjoyed the game as a kid but fucking hell I don't like it nearly as much as KOTOR 1.

Not to mention one little, tiny thing that isn't in the new pc version that actually helped me go through the games back in the XBOX days... I can't walk around twirling my lightsabers anymore. It's sad, I used to eat up the tedium of running around by constantly mashing Y on the controller to twirl my lightsabers and that doesn't happen anymore on PC, makes me wish I had the original XBOX version again.

GOTO was fine for a droid since he could get level 2 range attacks up. Droids needed more feats. Also the game needed to be more difficult.

I really like hub based gameplay with a party and their interactions. They need to the supporting characters, and be well developed. By your first hub after the tutorial you should have all your party members so you can create situations involving all of them for all subsequent hubs. Also, mass effect had TOO much fighting in my opinion. There were areas where you would fight for upwards of 30 minutes or more with very little interactions other than mindlessly shooting toward the boss.

More combat encounters, but shorter durations would be the better I think.

Focus on 3 stats to level up for him. So canon repair, computer use and awareness. Bank some skill ups and get him to gaurdian asap. Tech him up into heavy armor, dumping points into treat injury then and get him some mandalorian heavy armor.

Mission actually has the best damage rates in the game with dual pistols (specifically give her the Sith Assassin Pistol you get off Saul Karath and the Cassus Fett Blaster) and her high level sneak attack. Her hp tends to suck so you should focus on boosting her constitution but her defense stat itself tends to be one of the highest outside of the droids. Just give her either the Light Exoskeleton (this one is more for a melee oriented Mission due to the strength boost or a Jedi) or the Baragwin Shadow Armor (this one is literally made for Mission and is the cheaper option) and pick the Master Two Weapon Fighting line of feats along with an improved or master Sniper Shot. Maybe first rank of toughness on the side or implants level 1 - don't go beyond either. As long as you keep her at a range she can be pretty damn good. Also set her ai to Jedi/Droid Support so she sticks to using Sniper Shot.

One last thing: don't forget to check all weapons for Keen status. This doubles the crit chance on any given weapon which improves Sniper Shot's chance of stunning the enemy. A couple good blaster rifles to use on her with Keen are Zaalbar's Bowcaster and the Baragwin Disruptor X and the Baragwin Ion X.

Agreed, he suffers the same problem as Tali - Combat Drone is fucking useless, and AI Hacking is only any good on Geth missions, which, if you're playing the game properly, there is only one of left after you recruit him, not counting 1 or 2 side missions. He COULD hack mechs, but YMIR mechs are the only ones worth hacking and that means getting through 2 layers of protection at which point it's just faster to shoot them

She has zero durability and runs into the fray with her shotgun all the time, and her powers only work on non-shielded/armoured enemies

All she has is niche uses on the Abandoned Mine and Reaper IFF missions, and that's on low difficulties when the swarms of husks aren't armoured.

Legion is actually pretty good. Join time sucks yeah but he is basically the most durable character from the moment he joins thanks to both shield upgrades, Geth Shield Boost, and power recharge passive bonus. Just make sure to buy the widow for him cause once he gets that his offense goes through the roof.

I really dislike how few geth enemies there were in 2. Both Tali and Legion would be way better if there were more of them like in one. At the very least if you do want to use Tali and Legion more often I would suggest you use the Sentinel class with the Assault Armor variation on the Tech Armor power. Every time you use Tech Armor the squad powers will instantly recharge allowing you to take proper advantage of both characters without having to worry about not being able to use their powers again for another 30 seconds.

The Combat Drone is also really useful on Engineer Shepard due to the 3 second recharge giving you the ability to always control at least 1 enemy in combat.

Engineer and Sentinel are both fun for different reasons. Engineer is my favorite class just cause of how oddly versatile it is in terms of both powers and crowd control. Sentinel should have had access to shotguns from the get go. I wish they had added DLC to ME2 that allowed you to pick a third gun earlier in the game. I do prefer Soldier for sniping actually. Didn't really like Infiltrator due to the slowdown going away after a moment and other things like your shields not recharging during cloak along with the longer recharge. I should take another shot at it again.

One thing I will say is that depending on what class and what extra power you take you will end up using very different squadmates in ME2 for each mission.

One thing I would say is if you are planning on doing a Sentinel run and want to have some extra fun consider using a save editor to give you Tali and Legion right at the start of the game. Both of them still have dialogue in parts where they aren't available so you can watch those scenes now and also take proper advantage of both of them in combat via the Tech Armor ability. Multiple combat drones can be pretty useful even against organic enemies when you know it's not gonna take 30 seconds for the squad members to recharge their powers.

I'm currently using Piper in FO4 instead of Danse.

The first planet you do will always be lightsaberless. Nar Shadaa is the worst planet to do first because its the longest and therefore the least fun without the lightsaber. But you should get one not long after finishing it, and then the plot will have you drowning in lightsabers.

I'm on my first run too but I went to Onderon instead. Shenanigans occur so you get side tracked. I ended up getting my lightsaber a bit before making it to Onderon proper. That was around level 11 or 12 I think.

Moreover, the KotOR games are so incredibly easy that it doesn't matter who your party members are, especially in 2. I ran around with KH-47 and G0-T0 but usually killed everything in sight before they even got a chance to do much.

Amazing single player experience and after you finish it, play the online mode while you're at it for more fun. I didn't even touch swtor because of that. When I first heard swtor was announced, I lost my shit and was erect. As soon as it I found out it was an MMO it became clear that games from now on will never be the same. Literally lost my interest in games, they just weren't fun anymore. Now I'm going back and playing the games I never got to play growing up. Kinda makes me sad that games from up to 2 decades ago has more details, content and features than most new releases. Now that I think about it, no game this year has been able to excite me(save for mgs V for nostalgia reasons) and get me to wanna spend countless nights indulging in it.

Do the quests that get you parts, like dancing for the Hutt, or a few others. The flophouse by the docks has a few quests that can help as well. Finding the one guys wife for example (or just killing him. Bring Atton along if you plan on killing him for an influence boast) or helping the Ithorian in the same area.
