What kind of game would you make with face recognition?
It's really disturbing that face recognition will actually be a thing. Imagine this, every time you post on 4chan, your soon to be preinstalled on your monitor webcam will take a picture of you and attach it to your post.
>Face++ = new face recognition ();
This shit just doesn't compile.
any game with a character customizer
takes in your face, analyzes it, and sets the sliders to look like you. that way you don't have to waste time making oblivion tier characters trying to make it look like you.
Sounds like a really shitty gimmick. Why would I want games to face track me? What is the benefit here? With motion control the benefit is immediately apparent, you hold some stick and swing it like a sword = you swing the sword in the game.
What's face tracking offering to a game? Absolutely zero.
what if you could recognise persons emotion based on facial expression, and then it would be a bigger pleasure to kill them (in multi player) or reacting to npcs in adventure games so that they can react back apropriatley
