I don't know exactly where I'll be living come February, so I didn't bother putting down a reserve anywhere. I'm going to end up playing all three versions anyway, but I guess I'll just have to buy one physical and Digital for the other two.

Gonna go Birthright -> Conquest -> Revelations. I feel like if I play the easiest version any place other than first I'll get bored and drop it midway through, so saving Bestquest for later.

Awakening lunatic is trash

Conquest lunatic is completely fair yet pretty damn unforgiving up until chapter 25. Thats when the aforementioned skill comes around to fuck you raw. It shows up again in the endgame with another skill that makes everything a hellish nightmare.

Also you can lower the difficulty whenever you want but cant raise it back, so you should at least give it a try.

The first 4-6 chapters of Lunatic rely heavily on Fred and Chrom/Robin abuse unless you do some trickery. Lunatic+ is absolute bullshit in comparison and I refuse to touch it

They split the games because they're trying to pander to irrelevant grandpas who get off by difficulty (the same ones who almost killed the franchise, Westerners and Japs alike) and now all these grandpas came out of the woodwork hailing Conquest as some Fire Emblem savior even though only Sacred Stones and Awakening were pretty different games and both were received extremely well.

I'm sure the split games has a backlash in Nipland as well so they might not do it again anytime soon.

You probably will need to burn one use of Elise's freeze staff to stop the soldier. That should be your main focus, once he's gone,take out everything at your own pace for some sexy xp.

If Owain gets a good level up, try him out, if not, breed him with Elise asap and drop him. He's supposed to be shit but if he keeps the good levels train running he can be godly.

It's also superficial difficulty, a very lazy way to make the game hard. I prefer the old-style Fire Emblem games, like 7 because they don't let you grind unless you want to take your chances at the coliseum, which can also lead to the AI shamelessly cheating.
