Can there possibly exist a more beautiful and comfortable controller?
Why do people like these things? The casing feels like cheap chinese plastic, the candy buttons hurt your fingers, the D-Pad is still shit, the triggers are completely fucked and the left analogue is in the wrong place.
Not really. You're paying 60 bucks more for some paddles on the back and some custom settings. The newer Xbone controllers with the 3.5mm jack and refined bumpers are the best on the market currently. Possibly the best ever.
The positioning is awful, the d-pad itself is quite nice from a functional standpoint. Clicky and responsive. Having said that, I much prefer the positioning of the left stick, so obviously the d-pad has to go somewhere else. Sony got it the other way round, which to this day I still don't fully understand.
There should be a controller that is actually a pair of gloves and has the buttons or whatever on the inside so that you just let your hand hang/sit in a neutral position and slightly move your fingers to do stuff.
>Talking about something you like makes you a marketers
lol you fucking baka desu
Also if you're waiting for a dual stick one you might as well just buy an xbox controller since that defeats the purpose of the controller
Having owned a PS2, gamecube, n64, snes, xbox 360, xbone, and wii. I'd have to say the best controller had to be the xbox 360 one, it was perfect for my big american hands. You europoors probably think it's too bulky though since all of you are malnourished lol.
Not sure it's related but...
really buy "gaming" keyboards?
>Not really. You're paying 60 bucks more for some paddles on the back and some custom settings. The newer Xbone controllers with the 3.5mm jack and refined bumpers are the best on the market currently. Possibly the best ever.
No nigger, I have both and the elite is miles better. I almost want to throw the white one in the garbage since I only game on PC anyway. No need for another one. Even without the paddles it is a superior build and quality.
>wanting to grip two flaccid nigger dicks while you game.
Sony fans are such cucks
You'd be amazed just how virgin most PC gamers are. Just remind yourself that they spend as much on a single PC part as we do on a console and a couple of games all so they can see cool looking water effects or whatever instead of just turning on a tap.
They're literally just the worst of gaming. The absolute worst.
I own a PC to work on. I play games on the couch on a box I know I will never need to tweak or upgrade for the duration of its lifespan because I don't have time to deal with childish tinkering at this stage of my life.
I actually own 2 of the white ones, i dont know if my sisters were just careless but they broke.like. they just dont work, everything is in okay shape but it just stops working, one of them will randomly press a bunch of buttons for no reason and during mgsv this can be like game ending
>tfw my xb360 controller feels like shit now that I'm used to this
You don't love dicks? Nigga you in the wrong neighborhood.
>that one faggot who brings up dicks all the time
Tfw people are posting things other than keyboard and mouse
Gold plating costs peanuts unless you plate a fucking building in Gold. More like $250, max. And you're still paying mainly for the controller itself, rather than the Gold value, which would be virtually nothing.
Yeah that looks like a PCfags face to me.
depends on the thickness. But gold leaf with a crystal or abs finish would do. That would put the manuf costs around 300-400. So your price works. But micro wouldnt do that, leave that to a 3rd party.
There are a lot of people who put swarovski diamonds on stuff like beats headphones, so it can be a thing.
>tfw anything can be a thing when you custom order it
>the left analogue is in the wrong place
the options/share buttons are soooo shit, they feel cheap as fuck and are awkward to press because they're so damn small and right on the edge of the raised button pads
xbox stick placement is goat as well, really no competition
plus sony tried to copy the dual triggers like xbox did but they just feel like shit
Triggers and buttons are fine and the only bad part about the dpad is the place they put it. A real problem is the shit bumpers, too bulky. Casing is cheap tho ill give you that
Yo daug, that's not even OG if you kno' what I'm sayin'
I'm the envy of all kool gamers
show me a better controller I fucking dare you
mechanical keyboards are a worthy investment besides the gaming aspect of it. i'm a part-time writer and typing feels better and less fatiguing compared to a regular rubber dome
I quite like the official gold DS4 myself
Got one to play co-op with more people, it's now my main controller
>having anything to do with being out of shape
No Anon, you're the retard for thinking you can get into shape for typing. He clearly isn't talking about typing out short bursts of shitposting, but long ass texts. No amount of /fit/ is going to prevent typing fatigue that comes from typing out pages and pages of dense text.
>Samefagging this hard
>Actually believing this
>Calling people retards online in 2016
Please anon. Go to /fit/ and begin a path of self discovery and improvement. Make this new year the start of a new you.
I use DS4 for Fighters and Xbone for everything else that isn't Keyboard and Mouse. The DS4's d-pad is great for it. Also kind of neat that it doubles as a mouse.
I prefer the Ergonomics of the Xbone controller though, but than again it's what i'm used to.
I bet you enjoy being this much of a dense faggot
funny, been going to /fit/ (and a gym) for years
I guarantee I out lift you and actually have a job making more than you involving a keyboard most of the time, so I have it on good authority that you're an autistic little shit
I make $76 a year working in construction before side jobs. I made closer to $90 last year because of side work.
I also doubt you can outlift me if you don't have the grip strength, dexterity and endurance to type on a keyboard for a few hours.
Please visit /fit/ and actually use your gym membership.
It's all about the D-pad, faggot.
In every single one of those controllers that isn't the Dualshock, it isn't comfortable or reliable to use the D-pad with any precision for anything more than simple weapon selects, or if the developer is particularly lazy, just an unusable remap of the left stick. The biggest issue is navigating menus. Using an analog stick for moving a digital menu, that only requires up down left and right is terrible. You have to push on the stick in the direction you need, when a simple tap on the D-pad is much faster, and more responsive since it works when you click it, unlike the stick where it activates about halfway through the push.
Pushing down on the D-pad when it's in the lower part of the controller like on an X-box controller is annoying for your thumb, since you need to move your thumb on the desired direction, and click down. When a stick is there, like with PS controllers, you never need to click down on a direction, your just pushing it where it needs to go.
I don't understand why people would want the sticks opposite anyway. People say it keeps your thumbs aligned, with your left thumb on the stick, and the right on the buttons, but 90% of your time in most games these days is spend with both thumbs on the sticks to control the camera while moving.
Really? I got a Steam controller recently and I fucking hated it. Using the touch pad to look around was awkward as fuck and jittery.
I was using it on the Steam Link, so maybe that's the problem, as that thing is also a pile of garbage.
I got better results just streaming steam to my tablet over wifi and running that to a HDMI than over the steam link even with it wired on lan.
That directional ;pad was sex man. It was so good it was the only one to properly and effectively mimic mouse use.
I don't understand how new controllers cant replicate the effectiveness of something so fucking old.
I didn't even see that option. I'll try it on my actual PC and give it another chance. I'm still not a fan of the button or bumper placement though. Face buttons are too tiny and in a weird spot.
>Want to get pc gamepad
>Remember 360 controllers have shit fucking d pad, bumpers, and they break after a year.
360 still has great triggers and they are comfy but how does the One improve from it.
I didn't know about it until I was watching videos of some guy playing CSGO on it.
Here it is.
You'd think they would advertise the feature more due to how much more useful it can be.
I've owned the same xbox 360 controller since getting it with the earliest releases of the console
used it until 360 became old news then continued using it as a pc controller (even over my ps4 controller)
Why have I never heard of this feature before? Gyro aiming feels great with Splatoon, and it was the only good thing about Uncharted on Vita. Too bad I'll never not use a mouse for PC games that require aiming. If only it became standard for every console game.
Ok, watched that video, thought it looked awkward as fuck.
Tried it out in Talos, yeah, it's awkward as fuck.
The gyro aiming isn't awful. The thing that bothers me the most is turning around. You have to either flick it which just flings you around wildly, or set up the edge control where if you touch the outer edge it works like a joystick, which is still slow as fuck and weird.
I think it if there was right joystick plus gyro like the Wii U pad on splatoon it would work better overall. I just really can't get used to the touchpad for camera controls at all.
