>Laura has some electric shit too
they are related?
Stereotypes are not racist. And all of Street Fighter characters are stereotypes.
American? Buff army dude.
Mexican? Lucha libre.
Russian? Hairy muscleman wrestling bears.
British? Dandy gentleman.
Japanese in the series are also bunch of different stereotypes.
I thought Rufus was pretty racially charged towards murricans.
YA GOT CHEESEBURGERS IN THOSE GLOVES HAVE YA MAC
Blanka's real name is Jimmy; he was a white kid that survived a plane crash in the Amazon, and turned feral as he grew up alone in the jungle. The natives gave him the name 'Blanka' because he was white (blanca), it was only later that he turned green from rubbing plants on himself to camouflage.
There's nothing racist about Blanka; he's not even really Brazilian.
>His mom recognizes him on TV because she gave him the slave anklets
Street Fighter 2 was a different time.
All brazilians "hue" at such rapid decibels that some can create large amounts of static electricity they can harness. Blankas "hues" are strong but he can't store so much "hues" at once, hence his yelling, its really several million "hues" going of per second.
Not in Portuguese but close enough. Also blanca with an a at the end is the feminine form of the word. So maybe they were just being progressive by making him identify as a she, mind your pronouns shitlord.
Around 40-50 years ago he'd be incredibly stereotypical.
>acts patriotic and defends his country at all times but doesn't really give a damn about it himself
>violent but prefers to not cross any lines
>optimistic in the face of overwhelming odds
The last three still hold up.
