Why is Portable Ops non-canon and yet Phantom Pain is canon?

Reality-check: Kojima doesn't give a FUCK about MGS canon. How could you not realize this after MGS2? Kojima will use MGS to convey a theme and the actual canon is a complete slave to it.

MGS canon is a fucking mess, Kojima knows this and revels in it. Both MGS2 and MGSV are basically about how you should stop giving so much of a fuck about this stupid canon and just go along for the ride.
