So this is the true power of the PC Master Race, huh?
Buzzfeed-like channel which is specialized in making retarded Top 10 clickbait lists
On topic: where the fuck was GTA4. It ran like shit even on top hardware in 2008 and had 3 (4 if you count Steam) layers of DRM. Shit port of a great game.
>Bully: Scholarship edition
The 360 port of that was completely fucked up, too.
>With Square Enix's recent port of Final Fantasy XIII, this might be a trend
Let's ignore XIII-2, LR, and Type-0 which were all serviceable ports?
>The Evil Within
That game was a bit of a mess on any platform, because of fucking id tech 5.
>Saints Row 2 only number 5
They didn't even mention how the game was tied to your FUCKING CPU CLOCK SPEED. Your CPU either had to actually be the right speed or your had to trick the program into thinking it was. If it was lower than it needed to be, the entire game slowed down, and if it was faster, the entire game sped up.
>Spider Man 2
That wasn't even a fucking port, that was some retarded version that designed completely separate from the console ones.
>Resident Evil 4 over games that actually didn't fucking run at all for 99% of the people that bought them
Yeah, no mouse support was lame, but at least I could still play it and a mouse mod was available in a week or two.
I don't really remember having any issues with that port. It wasn't stellar, but I wouldn't call it bad, either.
>Dark Souls 1
Again, the game actually ran without DSfix. It looked like shit, and controlled like shit, but it was playable. You could fucking play it. Most people couldn't fucking play Saints Row 2, GTA4, Arkham Knight, Just Cause 3, or Deadly Premonition.
>Prepare to Die was made specifically for PC
I don't even know who Watchmojo is, but that video was awful.
MIDI sound depends on the synthiesizer the system uses. The Playstation 1 used a Yamaha something for its SPU, and PCs of that time period rarely spent a lot of cash in those components, unless you had a good sound card.
It was one of the standouts of previous gen, simply by having a great world, athmosphere and pushing technology forward.
In 2015 it may be forgettable but back in 2008 GTA4 was one of best games of that time (although San Andreas and 5 are better in terms of fun and content)
Shame PC port was shit and Rockstar will never ever fix it unless they'll make an anniversary patch in 2018 which removes like half the songs from radio.
The problem is that the PS1 had a custom-made sound processor capable of many special effects not found - and not available - in MIDI synthesizers. Furthermore, unlike a MIDI synthesizer, each sample on the PS1 could be specially tuned for each song or particular effects. Or chained together to be the lyrics of a song.
I thought the PS1 used a Sony sound processor, descended from the one used in the SNES (also made by Sony). Yamaha's equipment was mostly for PCs at that time, and FM synthesis on the Mega Drive beforehand.
it's like huffingtonpost but on youtube
>Type-30FPS hard lock
Fuck Japan. They should be nuked again, they're reaching Ubisoft levels of shittiness. They're fucking outpacing Call of Duty, which is made by two/three different studios each time, while Senran Kagura and shit like that are made BY THE SAME STUDIO WITHIN MONTHS.
Fallout 3 (bethesda shit), MGS4 (a movie), Saints Row 2 (more varied but less consistent game), Spore (a disappointment), World at War (last great WW2 shooter), Mirror's Edge (innovative platformer) etc.
GTA4 trumps them all in my opinion.
Agree with all of them except Evil Within
It ran at like 20fps on PS4/Xbone at Sub-HD, PC version from day one you could easily turn off the 30fps cap & letterboxing
also Spiderman 2 PC was it's own game, not a port, people wish we got a port though
>In 2015 it may be forgettable but back in 2008 GTA4 was one of best games of that time
No. I remember being on the hype train for GTAIV and thinking the Saints Row 2 fags were out of their minds for thinking SR2 would be better. Then they came out and SR2 outshined GTAIV in every manner but graphics and GTAIV felt gutted compared to San Andreas.
What a fucking disappointment.
Well, I never said anything about raw graphical quality, but by 2008 open world standarts GTA4 was great looking. In fact, please name a better looking open world game of that year. GTA4 had one of if not the best open world graphics until probably either Sleeping Dogs or Saints Row 3.
And no, Crysis was not a open world sandbox.
Why the fuck has nobody brought up this garbage yet?
>If you own one of the video cards on this list of thirty or so, fuck you
>We also don't intend to fix it, that's the community's job
>finally kills one
>a second one instantly kills him
>slowly nudges forward to find the spawn point
>it rushes out and rapes him
>spams while slowly nudging forward hoping to kill it before it reaches him
>instantly charges out in between shots raping him to death
